That's such brilliant news @lamby12! I hope you can relax and feel reassured 🎉

imisscoffee · 31/03/2021 14:59

Wonderful news @lamby12!

Best of luck for later @marplemead

Scan went well this morning, measuring 11+5 so still due 15th Oct, baby was wriggling lots and waving their tiny little fingers. Got my GTT booked for the end of April too. Phew!

Strawberry08 · 31/03/2021 15:03

Yay!! @imisscoffee amazing. Lovely photo

HereWeGoooo · 31/03/2021 15:05

Awwwwwwwwwwww @imisscoffee lovely!

marplemead · 31/03/2021 15:23

That's great news @lamby12!

I'm so glad your scan went well @imisscoffee. What a lovely scan photo - those tiny little fingers are so cute!

Has anyone been offered any support with healthy weight gain in pregnancy? I had a call from a lovely lady from my hospital because my midwife referred me. My BMI is 28 so on the higher side. It was really interesting chatting to her, and she's going to send me lots of info. I definitely don't want to gain excessive weight, as it was so hard to lose with DD. She said I shouldn't worry about eating healthily until I was feeling better, and I have another telephone appointment at 16wks.

PumpkinEverything · 31/03/2021 15:27

Haven’t even had time to get my photos sorted yet, but got a video (not sure I can upload it). Will get a photo and send it later but wanted you all to know it went okay!! So so so relieved

marplemead · 31/03/2021 15:31

I'm so happy for you @PumpkinEverything! What a relief ❤️

vitaminb33 · 31/03/2021 15:33

Congratulations @imisscoffee and @PumpkinEverything! Wonderful news ❤️🎉🎉

Firevie · 31/03/2021 16:09

Congrats @lamby12 @PumpkinEverything and @imisscoffee
Lovely pics!
I have just realised I forgot to ask re wiggling at my scan yesterday but I think my baby was having a snooze lol
Will remember to check next Thursday with NHS. Do you always see a wiggle?

@marplemead re weight gain - I haven’t been spoken to about that. I’ve gained maybe 800g since I got pregnant so I’m guessing it’s all in the green area still xxx

Pancakes7 · 31/03/2021 16:52

@marplemead my midwife said she would refer me for the healthy weight thing. I got a letter with a phone call appointment with a consultant in May when I'll be 15 weeks. So I'm wondering if that's what it's about.

@Pancakes7 could be! My BMI was lower with DD, so I didn't have any extra support. The woman on the phone said that they would like to offer the support to everyone. I've gained about 2-3lbs since my bfp, which is in the normal range. I was worried it would be more with all the rubbish I've been eating. With DD I lost almost a stone in the first trimester with HG, so I think I need to keep a more careful eye on eating this time.

Pancakes7 · 31/03/2021 17:29

@marplemead Yeah I think it's either that or to do with my c section or my history as I've had LLETZ and 2 surgical managements. I wish they would just say on the letter! It's when I'm at work too 🙈 I tried to change it but the clinic is only run on Wednesday mornings. So think I'll be telling work before that.

@marplemead Same here I was much slimmer with DS so don't have the help

Told my kids tonight ❤️ DS(5) had tears in his eyes when I told him, and DD(6) said straight away "so there's six of us in the family now. Me, DS, mummy, daddy, Frank and this new baby". Simultaneously broke and healed my heart. They both just accept that Frank is part of our family and talk about him all the time, it was difficult at first but I'm so proud of them.

MrsTD88 · 31/03/2021 18:35

Amazing news @imisscoffee your kids sound incredible. 😍😍

So happy for you @PumpkinEverything

PumpkinEverything · 31/03/2021 19:09

Aww @imisscoffee that’s just warmed my heart. That’s so so lovely. I’m so happy all went well and must have been so nice telling them today.

Thanks everyone for the support. I was a nervous wreck today and was so thankful that I walked straight in once I reached the clinic and she found baby instantly so she must have put the scanner on them perfectly. Have told my mum, stepdad and two sisters today. Going to go tell my in laws shortly and then he’ll tell his siblings once he’s done that 😊 then need to ring my dad and tell him! I’m absolutely exhausted now!

@Firevie I didn’t see any wriggling at my 9 week scan and I thinks that’s normal from what I’ve seen. Someone told me if you eat sweets or chocolate 30 mins before it gives them a sugar boost, so maybe you could try that? I’d had chocolate in my pain au chocolat breakfast and then forced myself to eat most of a banana before walking out the door as I knew I should have a bit of energy for the blood tests.

PumpkinEverything · 31/03/2021 19:10

Oh and here’s one of my photos 😊 they were wriggling a lot so not a really clear photo but so happy as she literally gave us like 20! She said it’s not her that pays for them 😂 even have one where you can see their hand which was lovely. She was so so nice today

Baby is fine, but not in position they need to do the measurements. I've been sent for a 10min walk to see if that does the trick, otherwise they will have to reschedule.

marplemead · 31/03/2021 21:09

We got there in the end. Baby measuring 11+5 with EDD of 15th Oct. That's exactly right based on my LMP. Here is a scan photo of baby not co-operating by sitting up. After lots of walking and jumping around, and then lots of prodding from the sonographer, we got baby to lie down for the measurements. I didn't mind it taking longer, as we got to see the baby dancing away and wriggling for ages.

marplemead · 31/03/2021 21:13

How lovely @imisscoffee! Your kids are so sweet - you must be so proud ❤️

Lovely photo @PumpkinEverything. I think it's quite clear considering all the wriggling.

I remember paying £15 for my scan photos last time, but they didn't charge today. The sonographer said they stopped charging at the start of covid, because partners couldn't attend, and then never started again.

MrsTD88 · 31/03/2021 21:14

@marplemead amazing news and so good you got to see lots of baby.

imisscoffee · 31/03/2021 21:22

Thanks all, I am biased but they're just the best, I am so lucky.

@marplemead due date buddy! Lovely scan photo, glad you got some extra time watching baby on the screen.
