Good luck with the scan tomorrow @lamby12 sorry you’re going through all of this 😔

Congrats on the girl @Smurf123 that’s exciting!

12 week scan for me tomorrow 😳 I’ve been a little quieter on here trying to preoccupy myself. I was feeling mostly calm and possible yesterday, but have woke up this morning feeling a bit sick with nerves already. Im off work the rest of this week so going to try and get out on a long walk today to clear my head and keep myself busy. I said to my friend at the weekend that I just don’t feel pregnant and she asked what I thought I should feel and she’s right, I don’t know the answer to that!

MrsTD88 · 30/03/2021 10:32

Oh @lamby12 what a time of it you're having. I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine tomorrow and the EPU staff will be fab at reassuring you. Hopefully after tomorrow you can relax a little. What time is your appointment?

@PumpkinEverything how exciting! Can't believe we are all at this stage now, feels like a lifetime ago I joined the thread. I'm sure everything will be great tomorrow.

PumpkinEverything · 30/03/2021 11:03

@MrsTD88 fingers crossed! I know 😳 it feels like we’ve all been on this journey forever. It’s so weird how time feels. My best friends sister is pregnant and going for her 20 week scan today, yet it feels like only yesterday she had her 12 week scan. I’m also on the same journey yet it feels like it was absolutely months ago I got my BFP 😂

vitaminb33 · 30/03/2021 11:08

Fingers crossed for you @lamby12 I'm sorry the last week's been so stressful for you ❤️

Congratulations @Smurf123 that's such lovely news! 🎉

Well done for keeping yourself calm for so long @PumpkinEverything, it's so stressful but not long to go and I'm sure everything will be great 😊

Firevie · 30/03/2021 12:54

Ladies, scan and bloods for harmony done. Baby measures exactly right at 45.5mm and 11+2. Such a relief. Xx heard strong heartbeat. And first time ever tummy scan and not vaginal xx

Hello little cutie! Great pic and congrats @Firevie ! Was that done privately? Do you still have NHS 12 week scan to do?

I cant wait for 12 week scan and see something more recognisable as a baby, fingers crossed. I'm feeling practically normal now and less bloated than I was in the beginning so praying all is okay in there.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's healthy 12 week scan pics over the next couple of weeks :)

Firevie · 30/03/2021 13:16

@HereWeGoooo thank you. Just realised pic is blurry lol
Yep this was another private scan along with harmony. I have my dating scan plus combined screening and nuchal scan next Thursday which will be NHS. My private doctor has suggested to still get the NHS nuchal screen done - double confirmations. I will get harmony results in 7-10 days. That will be another nerve wrecking time I think. I hope and pray I’ll be able to relax a little once we receive the results. I’d also then like to start telling friends etc xxx

Strawberry08 · 30/03/2021 13:16

@Firevie congrats!! Lovely pic, so happy for you.

@PumpkinEverything my symptoms have tailed off a bit at 10.5 weeks so try not to worry. End of first trimester is a funny time as most symptoms wear off but you don’t yet have the bump and movement. Scans for me are the most anxious thing ever though so I totally understand. Keep busy!!

I had my final recurrent miscarriage clinic scan today and was discharged which is amazing, for some reason my hospital do lots for reassurance which is great. And everything is perfect, 39.5 CRL measuring 10 weeks 4 days so 2 days ahead. And got a nice pic. Now bring on the 12 week!!

HereWeGoooo · 30/03/2021 13:26

Aww these pics are so cute!! You must be over the moon @Strawberry08 I also think I'm 10w4d today! I started feeling better during week 9... just hoping that was the placenta taking over, causing me to feel 'normal' again. Managing some chocolate today for the first time - had gone off everything and anything sweet. Will be so happy to get the 12 week scan reassurance though and being able to enjoy food again. I've missed that.

And @Firevie my 12 week scan is also next Thurs so hopefully it'll be good news and more cute scan pics for us both! I think they're doing the screening stuff then too - this is my first time, so just going with things.. This Fri I have my first bloods/urine appointment when I should be 11 weeks. Do you know if you need to bring another urine sample to 12 week scan appointment?

Strawberry08 · 30/03/2021 13:31

@HereWeGoooo thank you!! I’m so pleased but it feels so surreal to have got here after everything. I also started to feel more normal at about 9.5 weeks. I now just get the odd wave of sickness but it’s not constant like it was before. So from what I gather it seems totally normal. Yay for being able to eat chocolate, just in time for Easter haha.

Firevie · 30/03/2021 13:36

@Strawberry08 yay what a cute pic! Very pleased for you!!
@HereWeGoooo yay we’ll be scan buddies! I’ll be 12+4 at my dating scan next Thursday. Don’t think you need to give another urine sample at dating scan. My first time too so not 100% sure but haven’t been asked yet. So, will just assume none required. Xxx

PumpkinEverything · 30/03/2021 13:38

Great news @Firevie and not a long wait until you have another scan 😊

Thanks @Strawberry08 it’s such a weird time! Think it’s just hard because I’ve only ever had my MMC Pregnancy and this one so not really much to compare it to! So glad your scan went okay today. That’s really good your hospital do that, I think more of them should.

JRH4622 · 30/03/2021 15:20

@Strawberry08 and @Firevie Amazing pictures, I bet you are both so pleased!
@PumpkinEverything good luck for your scan tomorrow!! I feel different everyday so what does it actually feel like!!

Pancakes7 · 30/03/2021 16:38

@Firevie & @Strawberry08 Great scans! I'm glad both went well.

@lamby12 thinking of you. I hope your scan gives you some reassurance ❤️

Pancakes7 · 30/03/2021 16:40

@JRH4622 Haha it is nice we're all close together in dates. 2 weeks today! ❤️

DS had settling in at Nursery today. I was called to get him early as he was really upset. Going again tomorrow. Hopefully it goes better. I'm more worried about him going for a full day next week. I haven't even been able to think about me starting work again lol. On the bright side it's definitely a distraction from my scan wait.

OP posts:
Firevie · 30/03/2021 16:53

@Pancakes7 thank you! Oh no sorry to hear a out DS but I’m sure he’ll get used to it.
Thanks @JRH4622 so relieved
On another note I’m def showing a bump now. Are you guys too? When do you usually start showing? Xxx

Strawberry08 · 30/03/2021 17:00

@Firevie I have a definite hard low down bump, noticeable when I turn to the side, although to other people I probably just look fat haha

JRH4622 · 30/03/2021 17:21

@Pancakes7 Oh he will get used to it then he will love it and you will forget that you ever worried!! Think about work another day!! LOL
Oh and I definitely have a bump I cant suck in! I barely leave the house so no-one will ever see on Zoom but its there! I thought I was just bloated or fat @Firevie LOL

Pancakes7 · 30/03/2021 17:29

I'm carrying extra weight atm but I think I've got a bump too 🙈 so just looking fatter atm lol

OP posts:
imisscoffee · 30/03/2021 17:57

@Pancakes7 he'll get there, it's a massive step for him and for you, but once he settles it'll be great for his social skills.

Lovely scan photos @Firevie and @Strawberry08. Hoping I can join you tomorrow!

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow @lamby12, I hope you get some reassurance.

I've also got a definite bump, I'm big anyway and never get a defined little round bump but my belly now juts out further than my boobs do, and my boobs have doubled in size lately. Jumped on the scales this morning and I've not put any weight on yet but have several dresses that no longer fit, so I've bitten the bullet and ordered some maternity stuff. So glad it's the Easter holidays now, I'm planning to tell everyone at work during the first week back, and I imagine I'll be pretty obvious by then!

JRH4622 · 30/03/2021 18:32

@imisscoffee how exciting...I can't wait to tell people!! Thats my dream!

Pancakes7 · 30/03/2021 18:54

@imisscoffee How exciting! I'm looking forward to telling people. I think I'll need to wear baggy tops and cardigans to work 🙈 hopefully it's not too hot. I need the layers lol.

I've got a consultant phone call appointment too which is on a work day early May. I tried to move it but apparently that's the only day they do it. So I think I'll need to tell work by end of April. So scared to do that!

OP posts:
MrsTD88 · 30/03/2021 19:23

@PumpkinEverything it is such a drag sometimes isn't it! Not long to go now though 😁

@Strawberry08 @Firevie amazing news, congratulations both of you. I have a definite bump now, it's very hard to hide. Got my combined screening results and thankfully low risk for the three trisomies so just going to tell people now as it is becoming obvious.

@Pancakes7 I remember my little one's first week, she hated it! She soon loved it though and now it is a challenge getting her to leave. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day for you both.

vitaminb33 · 30/03/2021 20:30

Congratulations @Firevie and @Strawberry08! And @MrsTD88 for the test results! Such great news and lovely to see the scan pics

I've forgotten who said said it but I wanted to thank whoever told me they'd been managing to stomach crisp sandwiches- I've been living off them the past few days 😅

Did anyone else still have mild stomach cramps at 9 weeks? After my scan on Sunday I've had a pretty consistent discomfort (like a mild period pain but constant). It could just be because I'm not eating enough or from the painful bloating but I find it a bit worrying.

Firevie · 30/03/2021 20:44

Thanks all and for all the reassurance re bumps. I mean I’m super happy about my bump - v proud of it :)
@MrsTD88 yay to your screening results. That’s what I will be waiting for and then we will tell people. I’m in the middle of jobs so I’ll break the news once I start in couple of weeks as I’ll def be showing. Can’t wait. Xxx
