@BeeBee87 welcome and congratulations 🥳

Is anyone feeling really tired this week? It’s only Tuesday and I’m dragging my self. I’m 16+2 today.

I think it is time for me to get bras now. I’m 30DD pre pregnancy and I’m sure I’m atleast 2 cups bigger now. Anyone similar size as me with any maternity bra recommendations that do provide support?x

Daffodil21 · 09/03/2021 11:32

@WolfMother326 my app didn't give measurements but did say it doubles in size! It's just an app though (Flo) so not sure how accurate it is!

Thanks @wimbler good to know. Hoping to feel some kicks soon!!!!

lucyrp · 09/03/2021 11:40

@Whatshouldbemyusername I'm a 36DD and was already fed up of wearing proper bras so ordered the nursing ones from H&M maternity. I ordered a size large and they just about fit for now but ordered an XL for going forward as they get bigger. So comfortable x

Whatshouldbemyusername · 09/03/2021 12:56

@lucyrp thanks! Do you mind sharing the link of those bras from H&M?

Do they provide great support? I used to wear underwire bras and I know those are no good once pregnant but I do want once that offer good support x

Smallbean27 · 09/03/2021 12:56

@Whatshouldbemyusername I got nursing bras from Asda's 2 for £12. They are so comfy! I am 32C went for L and they are great my boobs have grown loads. They have padding to, which you can take out if needed.

Jessicapebbles · 09/03/2021 13:29

Hi ladies,

Has anyone else started to experience the extreme itching on their tummy? I am going out of my mind! I’m trying everything, bio oil, olive oil, body butter etc. I am putting it down to stretching (I’ve a pretty round tummy now at 18+6). I briefly remember this happening with my first but I can’t remember how long for 😭. I’m even waking myself up scratching in my sleep!

lucyrp · 09/03/2021 13:47

@Whatshouldbemyusername I can't seem to copy the link from the app but I'll pop a screenshot below of the ones I got. I got them in grey and black though. I normally wear underwire bras too but haven't wanted to the last couple of weeks. I think they provide enough support for me and I'm technically a 34F so 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 these also have padding which you can take out if you want to. Great for if breast feeding after too! X

@Jessicapebbles yes! I've been using bio oil twice a day and love the smell of it and is the only thing that manages to moisturise my bump skin at the moment. But I have two itchy patches either side around my hips almost but at the front. I'm quite round already at 17 weeks x

@lucyrp Isn’t it so so frustrating! I have like a belt all the way round the sides and front!

The bras look good! I’ve literally just bought the H&M sports maternity bras for my huge melons 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ Hoping this might give more support! Think they’re £17.99 x

lucyrp · 09/03/2021 13:56

@Jessicapebbles last pregnancy I went and got measured in marks and Spencer and wore non wired but normal bra shape bras which were fine too. But I can't be dealing with trying to measure myself and ordering different bras to try on from online at the moment. I ordered like 4 and gave up so these were the next best things!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 09/03/2021 14:09

Thanks @lucyrp will order these tonight! I so wanted to measure up but this lockdown 🤦🏽‍♀️ And I know I can’t wait now. My breasts are pouring out of its current cup 😑xx

lucyrp · 09/03/2021 14:12

@Whatshouldbemyusername yeah once we're out of lockdown I may contemplate getting measured if it's at all possible but I couldn't be dealing with the fuss. The bras are kind of like a crop top but they fasten like a bra and have adjustable straps. I find them extremely comfortable and have done the job for me so far! My breasts were pouring out of mine too and was getting fed up of escapee nipples 🙈😂xx

Dia12 · 09/03/2021 16:41

It must be lovely seeing the kicks and for your DH to be able to feel little one too @wimbler!
I'm not feeling anything at the moment, I'm 18+2 but with an anterior placenta.

I'm wearing my maternity leggings from love leggings too and agree with wolfmother326 that they are lovely and thick. I also sized up and feel I've got room for bump to grow into.

Thank you for the maternity bra suggestion lucyrp - I've been getting away with some bra extenders but the H&M maternity bras sound good. I'll have a look.

Have you tried an oat based moisturiser like Aveeno or Cetraben @Jessicapebbles?

Jessicapebbles · 09/03/2021 16:42

@Dia12 That’s a really good idea! I will get myself some of that. It’s just driving me insane! Xx

Dia12 · 09/03/2021 16:55

Aw I hope you get some relief soon. It's crazy how pregnancy makes your whole body go nuts !!!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 09/03/2021 18:21

@Jessicapebbles I feel very itchy too so I understand. I swear there’s a part of my shoulder I’ve scratched it to death! I moisturise all over every morning but by evening it’s scaley everywhere. Esp my legs.

Also has anyone noticed really visible veins? I can see all mine from my thighs down. So many side effects of pregnancy 😊

Daffodil21 · 09/03/2021 18:51

@Whatshouldbemyusername yes I have noticed more visible veins!!! I also have really bad spider veins in my calves now 😩 I had them a bit before but they are hideous now! I think the only way to get rid of them is laser surgery as well!

I also have a really random dry and red patch next to my mouth - has anyone else had this? Desperately trying to get rid of it but doesn't seem to be going anywhere, so any suggestions would be gratefully received!!

Whatshouldbemyusername · 09/03/2021 19:40

@Daffodil21 is it painful when you open your mouth? My friend had something similar and she said coconut oil helped. Maybe try that?x

LaceyMermaid · 09/03/2021 19:44

Hi all, I got an sport bra type thing from m&s which is quite good. I live in the crop top things at home but I don’t feel they give me a good shape for being out of the house!
I started bleeding today which is weird, not a lot but luckily I had midwife today anyway so she checked for a heartbeat and found one. I spoke to EPU who said just keep an eye on it and they didn’t need to see me as a heartbeat was heard. I have a private scan booked for tomorrow anyway which hopefully will be reassuring.

Daffodil21 · 09/03/2021 19:48

@Whatshouldbemyusername it is sometimes, it's like when you're hands get really dry and split sometimes. Ah I'll give that a go, thanks!

@LaceyMermaid how worrying for you, I'm so glad they found a heartbeat. How far along are you?

LaceyMermaid · 09/03/2021 20:15

@Daffodil21 thanks I’m 16 weeks today. It was reassuring to hear that, just got some cramping now but no more bleeding so hopefully it’s just one of those things. I have been feeling a bit off the last few days thought I’d overdone it by walking 6 miles at the weekend maybe but who knows.

Daffodil21 · 09/03/2021 20:21

@LaceyMermaid hopefully it's nothing to worry about, it's reassuring you heard the heartbeat today. I had a bleed at 6.5 weeks, it was bright red in my underwear then I had to wear a pad that evening and the next morning then it just stopped. All was ok and I never found out why. It was just one of those things.

Alittlexmasmagic · 09/03/2021 20:30

@LaceyMermaid I routinely had bleeds from 12 weeks onward in my last pregnancy but it was never established what caused them. If you're soaking through a pad in an hour then definitely get checked out.x

LaceyMermaid · 09/03/2021 20:32

@Alittlexmasmagic @Daffodil21 yes it’s not much and hoping it’s just one of those things. Never had in in any of my other pregnancies (this is my 4th). Hopefully the cramping will die down soon too. Im going to take tomorrow off work as my job is very active and no chance to take it easy and then hopefully I will be ok and will return on Thursday.

biscuitcat · 09/03/2021 21:06

@Jessicapebbles I had some truly hideous itching, honestly totally vile. The only thing that sorted it for me was taking a loratadine for a couple of days. Mine was an allergic reaction of some kind, so if yours is similar that could be worth trying? I tried to hold off as the midwife said to, but I was scratching so hard that I broke surface blood vessels and the NHS website says it's ok for pregnancy so I did, best decision ever!

Jessicapebbles · 09/03/2021 21:10

@biscuitcat Thank you so much, I’ll discuss this with my midwife! I’ve had a bath and lathered loads of coco butter on it to soak in. Going to do it again before I sleep and hopefully I don’t wake myself up scratching tonight! Xx
