@biscuitcat it is a great pram for the outdoors. We're on a farm so I got the Terrain with changeable wheels and the big wheels make a huge difference. It's a big old pram though so not good for nipping around shops or anything. We have a pick-up truck so launch it in the back but need to collapse a back seat to easily put in a hatchback. I will say the carrycot is not the best, the quality is poor. That said the actual forward facing buggy itself is fab and can lie flat. Being three wheels it can turn easily one handed, it's also easy to collapse. It's also quite heavy. Definite pluses & minuses x

Think I’m hormonal today, got irrationally irritated by a thread today where someone asked if dating pregnancies had changed because so many people know between 3-4 weeks and someone replied saying it was our ignorance and that we were miscalculating! Maybe it’s not hormones but just the tiredness taking over 🙃🙃🙃

Hi everyone,

I'm pregnant with my first baby (due very end of July but i am sure baby will likely arrive in Aug). I am just coming up to 13wks.

Haven't had my nhs scan yet, the app. is next week but we had a couple of early scans as i had actually started IVF and was a few days in to taking the IVF drugs when we found out we had already conceived naturally! Such a miracle. Because i will be almost 14wks by the time i have my first scan on the nhs and because i am 38yrs old we decided to go private and have the NIPT test for Down's/Edwards & Patau which were all negative and we also found out the sex 💗It is all feeling very real now!

@Alittlexmasmagic that's so helpful, thank you! Definitely one worth looking at for us when we're at that stage I think.

@winnie3838 welcome! How exciting, and fab news that all your screening has come back as negative, what a relief. Are you having a little boy or girl? I'm hoping we can keep ours a surprise so I'll live vicariously through finding out what other people are having 😂

Is anyone else really struggling to be productive today? I should be working, have so much to do, but I'm feeling rough (thought that was meant to be over by now...) and just cannot focus!

@VWLolabunny9119 my libido died after DS was born so can't comment on now but remember with my first pregnancy that it never really changed. Tiredness and nausea will have a huge impact and the app is probably insinuating you'll feel more like yourself as these symptoms start easing off x

Hi, following on from August thread, had 2 scans already 6 and 7 weeks as went through private fertility. Got another one on Saturday and I should be 9+4, so nervous yet again. Have to wait another 3 weeks after that for my 12 week scan as I will be 12+4. Had my midwife appointment at 8 weeks, so anxious but reading all these posts are helping me through. Can't wait to have a scan and see what looks like a baby instead of a bean.

@K2a0t1i5e good luck with your scan on Saturday. We had a scan at 8wks+4 and it looked just like a baby :D We could see the arms moving too - was wonderful, so you should see lots too! Enjoy!

@winnie3838 congratulations that’s so exciting and the results of your private scan sound reassuring.

Hearing your experiences of private scans is leading me to want to book my own, I think I’ll go at 10 weeks on the dot so that I can ‘hopefully’ see a heartbeat inside a little baby shape. Right now it still doesn’t feel real!

@biscuitcat I haven’t productive since the start of December! Between the tiredness and vomiting my day is really broken up. Completely fair you can’t focus, my mind feels like sludge! Don’t be harsh on yourself though, just do what you can. Are your work supportive... or do they know? It’s part of the reason I told my boss mega early!

@vwlolabunny9119 seriously the thought of sex right now is horrendous. If I am bed I am trying to (unsuccessfully) sleep. And the nausea! Ugh no. No no no.

@K2a0t1i5e good luck for Saturday! Scans are so nerve wracking and exciting aren’t they!

@Miniheart I had a really good experience with mine, just make sure you check the reviews and stuff. Another poster was dated 2 weeks earlier than she thought and I think the consensus was she should have been referred to the EPU but wasn’t. Don’t mean to put a dampener on things because I do think private early(ish) scans are generally a good idea!

@Thisisbananas3 phew, I'm glad it's not just me! They don't know yet! I'll tell next week after my scan. I think they'll be supportive, almost everyone in my work is a woman so they're quite used to it (and handily there are people coming back from mat leave soon so I won't leave too much of gap!). I'm lucky in that I sort my own diary so if I'm unproductive but something really has to be done, it's not the end of the world if I need to do some evening/weekend work, though I try to avoid that if I can!

Yay @ame88, finally! I was excited for mine too, it was so odd hearing someone talk about the pregnancy as though it's actually happening, I've been so tentative when talking about it to avoid tempting fate!

Weirdly my scan date had actually come through (18th Feb) feels like forever away! Can't wait!

My rainbow baby Purple says hi too, measuring ahead now, 10+6 💜🌈

I had my NIPT Panorama done privately and they offer a complimentary scan beforehand. The baby was so lively, swimming from one wall of my uterus to another! Incredible! I can't wait to get the results and then the 12 week scan, big milestones. I keep thinking it's a boy after this scan and my friends who know I'm expecting also said they think it's a boy 💜🌈 I just love watching him on the screen! Xx
