@Magik01 No way mine is the day before on the 4th!

@BertieBotts I’m exhausted just reading about your day 😂

PurplePansy05 · 25/01/2021 08:08

@MrsB2019x @Magik01 Mine us on the 2nd, so we are very close indeed 😊 Not long left to wait now 🤞🤞🤞

biscuitcat · 25/01/2021 11:02

@BertieBotts that sounds exhausting! I'm in awe of those of you managing with other little ones too, I'm tired enough with just being pregnant!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I've got my dating scan on Thursday and I wish it would come around sooner. I'm worrying so much about something going wrong, and I don't think I've fully relaxed in weeks. The early scan at 6+6 was all looking good so I hope that's positive but I'm not finding it as reassuring as I'd hope during this wait

Alittlexmasmagic · 25/01/2021 11:14

@BertieBotts that sounds exhausting but fruitful.

Insomnia is kicking my backside right now. I wake up in the early hours and just can't drop back off. I know it isn't caffeine, I've bought new pillows which help and going to try a mindfulness app tonight. I can't not sleep for the next two years 😭 x

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 11:18

@BertieBotts you sound like Wonder Woman! Tired just reading it!

@biscuitcat yeah I’m with you, the wait is horrible because you just build anxiety up in your head and it kinda spirals. Sorry I’m struggling to remember how far along everyone is, how many weeks will you be in on Thursday? Let’s hope for a quick week!

I’ve started the week on a sick day- I’ve been sick 14 times today and counting. So fed up. At this point I don’t even know what I could possibly be bringing up :(

HopefulB · 25/01/2021 12:33

Morning all!
@Alittlexmasmagic I can empathise with the insomnia, waking early and struggling to get back to sleep, head was buzzing from 3:30 this morning Confused

@PurplePansy05, good guess, yes I am under the specialist nurse from RMC.

@Thisisbananas3 bad news on the sick day, hope it eases for you soon.

Fingers crossed for those who have scans this week

PurplePansy05 · 25/01/2021 12:45

I think after the 12 week scans we could do with putting together a little list of all our EDDs for reference 😊

biscuitcat · 25/01/2021 12:53

@Thisisbananas3 I'm glad you know the feeling - DH is sympathetic but I just don't think he gets it in quite the same way! By my dates I'll be exactly 12 weeks on Thursday. Good idea about compiling a list @PurplePansy05!

That sounds awful for your sickness - I've been moaning about mine but you've got it much worse. I hope it eases off for you soon! Have any doctors been able to give you something that's helped?

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 13:17

@HopefulB thanks so much, me too!

@biscuitcat yeah I’m quite interested in my husband’s reactions to things and I can only assume it’s because it’s not happening to him physically. He’s so chilled out, assuming everything’s fine. I asked if he acting that way to make me feel better and he said no... it’s just how he feels. Wish I could be so relaxed.

And thank you- I’m on medication which ran out last night. Prescription ready to collect later today, not that it helps much. Have already been on a drip from dehydration. “Morning” sickness is terrible whatever degree you have it I reckon. This pregnancy is really kicking my butt though!

Agreed good idea for a due date list! I was pushed forward a few days at my private scan so I wonder if I’ll be pushed back at my dating scan.. 16 days and counting to go!

MrsB2019x · 25/01/2021 13:29

@Thisisbananas3 You poor thing, that sounds horrendous. I really hope it eases for you soon Flowers

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 13:49

@MrsB2019x thank you, everyone keeps saying 12 weeks is a turning point and I’m nearly there! So 🤞🏼 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 15:27

Sorry ladies, me again. I’ve had my blood results on the patient knows best website for over a week now. On 2 of the the tests my results say “out of range” (so there’s a specified range there’s a little red Mark indicating where mine are) so it looks like I’m low in what ever it is they were testing for.

Is it normal to talk through these results? I had thought someone might call me if they’re out of the ordinary, or is the fact no one’s contacted me means it’s nothing to worry about? Or am I meant to call them... honestly I wouldn’t even know who to ring. From google one of them could be low iron which I guess is relatively normal, unsure of the other. Does Anyone have any experience? Thank you x

Alittlexmasmagic · 25/01/2021 16:02

@Thisisbananas3 completely fine to give your MW a call regarding them. I spoke to mine the other day re. my thyroid and she ran through them all.x

PurplePansy05 · 25/01/2021 17:22

I haven't had my bloods yet, mine will be taken at my 12 week scan. I assume some of you had the bloods done at a booking appointment a bit earlier? My booking appt was just over the phone with the midwife xx

Smallbean27 · 25/01/2021 17:31

@Thisisbananas3 no harm in ringing midwife to check.
Mine did say as they are busy they will contact me if there is a problem. I would assume someone one contact if there was a problem but you never know x

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 18:23

Thank you- I don’t actually know how to contact the midwife team. The only contact details I have is a and e helpline before 20 weeks and maternity helpline after 20 weeks. I’ll give it a google! Thanks for your replies!

And yes- my bloods were taken at the booking at appointment.

Alittlexmasmagic · 25/01/2021 18:50

@Thisisbananas3 are there any numbers written on the front of your green notes?
We have listed EPU, triage, community MW etc on ours.
It's really handy to have a photo of these saved to your favourites if they're available x

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 19:10

Thanks @Alittlexmasmagic I’ve gone through my folder with a fine tooth comb- I dont haha any green notes, there’s only the maternity helpline or 111. No details for EPU/triage etc. I’m wondering there’s a separate contact sheet that they forgot to put in my folder?

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 19:11

Don’t have* bloody autocorrect!

PurplePansy05 · 25/01/2021 19:15

Aw girls I only gone and fucking lost my second scan photo, either me or DH, no idea 😭😭😭 I've looked EVERYWHERE and it's gone! I'm crying my eyes out here and if I can't even keep a fucking photo safe I'm clearly no good to be a mother 😭😭😭 I'm so bloody stupid and devastated.

Alittlexmasmagic · 25/01/2021 19:42

@PurplePansy05 don't panic!! It's gutting but try not to worry. Ring the scan department tomorrow and you hopefully will be able to pay for copies. The photographs are all stored against your records, especially if needed for further review. You might need to wait until your next visit to collect though x

@Thisisbananas3 that's so strange. Can you look at the trust website, they must have them available somewhere. How are you supposed to get support when needed?x

northernsquirrel · 25/01/2021 19:54

Oh no @PurplePansy05 🙁 it's such a cliche but I bet it turns up somewhere really random. I seem to forget so much stuff recently...baby brain really seems to be a thing x

PurplePansy05 · 25/01/2021 20:00

I'll do that but it was a scan at the RMC, I highly doubt they keep them.

I am absolutely invonsolable and so angry with myself.

Thisisbananas3 · 25/01/2021 20:11

@Alittlexmasmagic the trust website has the maternity helpline, I’ve found the EPU general enquiry line but the GP or midwife needs to refer you. I did think it was odd there were no contact details but after my appointment I was surprised how hands off everything was, thought maybe it was the norm. I’ll probably call the maternity helpline and see if they can give me details of the midwife team. (Or maybe I needn’t worry about the results 🙈 I just don’t know what’s normal) thank you so much for your help! X

@PurplePansy05 oh no! I hope you find it... under laptop? With work papers? Stuck on the fridge? Used as a bookmark? Hope it turns up!

BertieBotts · 25/01/2021 20:48

Oh no sorry to hear that Pansy! I'm sure it will turn up! Do you have a scanner and have you scanned it in? I leave things in mine all the time. They are stupidly easy to lose so it defo doesn't have any bearing on your responsibility as a mother!

I know this is insanely early but I think I have started to feel tiny little ripples. I started feeling movement at 12 weeks with my others as well and it's very distinctive. Just every now and again.
