So I don’t really know what I’m doing but trying to keep the bus moving after our BFPs. Don’t know about everyone else but I feel very anxious and worried about the whole thing. I really want to be happy and celebrate but can’t just yet

Hey guys I did my clear blue at 11DPO (1-2 weeks) when do you think I should test again to see a 2-3 weeks progression? I'm so paranoid my ICs today are a tad bit darker but feel like they should be a bit more darker 48hours on so I'm getting really worried it's not progressing okay ☹️

Runnergirl1 · 14/06/2020 10:23

@Mococo1 I was doing the cheap hcg tests and they weren’t really progressing so I did just a cheap wilko one I think and the line was a lot darker. Then did another frer and it was a dye stealer the test line so try not to get too worried. It is a very nerve wrecking time early stages of pregnancy isn’t. I’m a mess some days and then throughly enjoy it others. We have to try and make the most of everyday x

Hello everyone 👋 Thanks @TheGirlWhoLived for posting the link to this thread in the Feb 2021 group.

I got a faint bfp on Monday and it's progressing but not as much as I'd like. Had 2 previous missed miscarriages so am nervous.

Based on my last period I should be 4 weeks +3 days. Digital test is showing as 1-2 weeks since conception. I could have ovulated late though.

OnNaturesCourse · 14/06/2020 11:20

@kwastel did you track ovulation? My digital is still reading 2-3 weeks and I'm 5 and a bit now so should definitely read 3+. I've seen online that they arent that reliable x

TheGirlWhoLived · 14/06/2020 11:21

That’s about right @kwastell as you have to count an extra 2 weeks onto clearblue, it might have been 1week 6 days, and they are notoriously unreliable (I did lots of searches as my dates are out too) so try not to worry too much. 3-4 weeks and 4+3 aren’t too far apart

kwastell · 14/06/2020 11:27

@OnNaturesCourse I didn't get any clear results from ovulation tests. At a guess I'm 16 dpo.

@TheGirlWhoLived fingers crossed it's just that.

Hard not to read too much into everything after previous miscarriages. At least the test lines are progressing ✨

Posie100 · 14/06/2020 12:07

Hi I’m joining from the other feb 2021 thread. This is my first pregnancy and I am due 17th feb. I was wondering if Anyone else works for the NHS? I’ve got a batch of 4 12hr on call shifts coming up and I’m not sure if I should be doing them. Especially considering I’ll come into contact with covid patients. Any advice?

kwastell · 14/06/2020 12:32

Congratulations @Posie100

I don't work for the NHS but I work for a company that has mainly front line workers (I'm not front line though). They've been putting front line people who are pregnant on furlough. Don't know if this is official policy or just what my company is doing.

kwastell · 14/06/2020 13:03

Are any of you planning to see family and friends with 2 metre distancing? Or are you sticking to full lockdown while you're pregnant?

OnNaturesCourse · 14/06/2020 14:00

We've created a little social bubble with our parents as they are total lockdown so we've been and told them face to face. I will be social distance telling our grandparents after 12 weeks, and everyone else will just be over the phone or online.

OnNaturesCourse · 14/06/2020 14:04

A little update from me.

I am 5 weeks something (apps both tell me different things, and the NHS calculator tells me differently then my ovulation works out else where!) and I am definitely feeling pregnant now, I've spent the past two days feeling motion sick even sitting still, and I have no appetite at all 🤢 My toddler hugged me yesterday and I could have cried with side boob pain, and my nipples are at attention all the time - DP brushed past me earlier and I felt like he'd slapped them. Oh, and I can't button the top button of my jeans anymore at all.

Anyone else's symptoms starting to really kick in?

Little11 · 14/06/2020 15:38

Yes @OnNaturesCourse the boob pain is a killer! Mine almost feel bruised? So so achey and sore. I don’t remember symptoms this bad so early last time round!

TheGirlWhoLived · 14/06/2020 15:41

I’m not as booby but definitely on the bloated front!! Seem to be just eating peanut butter too, so odd

kwastell · 14/06/2020 16:25

I'm constantly hungry. Don't know if I can use the pregnancy as an excuse for that or not!

OnNaturesCourse · 14/06/2020 16:38

Oh and another thing it would seem..... Emotional. Had a disagreement with DP earlier, nothing major, but I literally couldn't stop the tears. Eugh.

I'm so ready for my bed already.

Apparently weeks 4 - 12 are the worst for tiredness as baby is relying solely on you until the placenta is in place and working. Basically leeching everything you have to give directly.

Mococo1 · 14/06/2020 19:36

I'm so scared you guys my sysmptoms haven't kicked in yet 😩😩 just a bit tiredI'm not even due for AF yet tho so hoping symptoms will arrive next week 🤞🏽

Mococo1 · 14/06/2020 19:37

I meant not 4 weeks yet- total lie had the uterus stretching but no nausea etc yet

TheGirlWhoLived · 14/06/2020 20:23

Yeah mococo, I’ve got a book that’s called pregnancy day by day and it doesn’t even show any symptoms until 5.5-6 weeks!

Also cried at dp today. I’ve been hungrier than normal but I’ve got to do the gestational diabetes diet (sugar free, low carb, no refined or processed foods, it’s a nightmare!) apparently from the start?! Just because I had it last time Angry

Plus side is after cutting out caffeine, coke, crisps, chocolate and bread I have now lost 4lbs Grin if I carry this on I’ll be thinner at 40weeks than I am now!

Ah it’s not so bad, gestational at least means I’m pregnant for now and it’s been a hell of a while coming!! Will give a teeny bit of backstory now as I hope to be sticking with you guys a while! Please do share your background if you want to/feel able:

Have dd1 (now 9) when I was 21, I had Pre eclampsia late on and delivered 38, she was rushed to SCBU with suspected chicken pox, where she stayed for 10 days before they found out it was a genetic disease (rarer than winning the lottery apparently!) meaning she is blind and deaf on one side. They suspected neurological problems but turns out she’s bright as a button, and top of her class Grin

Dd2 (6) doesn’t have the same condition (I carry it in one of my X chromosomes) but was identified as having a club foot at 24 weeks which was sorted out after birth- she was having physio at the children’s hospital for 5 years and is now all sorted! She too was in SCBU after birth for a week as she had jaundice and couldn’t breathe properly. That pregnancy I had GD

#3 I TTC for 2 years before falling pregnant after a hystericopingagram (dye in the Fallopian tubes) unfortunately due to the genetic condition if I conceive a boy with the wonky X chromosome then it will miscarry and this is what happened at 14weeks (MMC at the 12 week scan)

1.5 years later... here we are SO this one MUST be no more than I’ve dealt with eh! Grin

sjones2588 · 14/06/2020 21:19

@posie100 I am a nurse, working front line, i can have patient contact until 28weeks unless covid positive or symptomatic patients. X

sjones2588 · 14/06/2020 21:40

@thegirlwholived this in our 2nd child, we have a DD who turns 4 this month.
I'm petrified of PND this time round, had a terrible time after my DD was born. Trying to be positive, and just enjoy every step of this. Nervous myself for the nuchal screening. DD was high risk, had to have lots of extra tests which came with thier own risks, thankfully all ok.
Cannot wait to start showing but expect i will be huge haha. #putdownthechocolate.

I've already started feeling nauseous, anyone got any tips for nausea and vomitting?
X
