So I don’t really know what I’m doing but trying to keep the bus moving after our BFPs. Don’t know about everyone else but I feel very anxious and worried about the whole thing. I really want to be happy and celebrate but can’t just yet

@unluckyducky Thank you, that’s what I was worried about. I know they’ll measure at the 12 week scan to get a more accurate gestation and due date but I don’t want the scan to be 2 weeks beyond what I actually am and also the due date, I’d worry so much about them calculating me as being overdue when I’d only just be full term 😖

I’ll stick to my own calculations then. Thank you again!

Bear127 · 12/06/2020 21:36

@sjones2588 Are you still allowed patient contact when pregnant? I’ve not been too tired but I’m due back at work tomorrow after nearly 3 months off/on a rota. I think I’ll be goosed by the end of the week 😂

TheGirlWhoLived · 12/06/2020 22:17

@Bear127 they’ll know at the scan how many weeks you are based on the measurements (down to the mm!) so don’t worry at all - if they are concerned about growth then they’ll check at a further scan, but your weeks/date can change over the course of the pregnancy, and often by a week or more as they take more accurate scans.
Your baby changes so specifically day by day that they will be able to see if you are 2 weeks out- if not now, then 100% further down the line.

In fact the 12 week scan is called the dating scan for this reason :)

Anyone experiencing cramping and lower back pain? It woke me up last night and I couldn't get back to sleep! I don't remember it this early with my first. No spotting or bleeding. I had a MMC in Feb this year but don't remember cramping until the bleeding from the MMC has begun. Hoping it's just my uterus preparing for the bub x

sjones2588 · 13/06/2020 05:34

@bear127 yep, apparently so, in 1st and 2nd trimester. No contact with positive or symptomatic patients though. To be honest, i want patient contact, i cant do office based for 9 months, id be suicidal 😂

sjones2588 · 13/06/2020 05:40

@riveroo ive had some lover back and lower abdo pain, everything is preparing to make ke space for a human, I remember ber it with my DD pregnancy too. ❤

@riverroo @unluckyducky I'm the same I'm having like cramping and stretching pain it seems and it's kept me up all night! I have like a pulsating pain on one side then it moves to the other so hoping it's just the bean burrowing in..🥺

RiverRoo · 13/06/2020 09:06

Thanks for the replies @sjones2588 @Mococo1 and @unluckyducky I think you're right! Just the little bean burrowing. Such an anxiety inducing time these early weeks. I'm sure we're all worrying for no reason x

@TheGirlWhoLived Thank you 😊

I haven’t had any cramping or any other pains at all. The evening bloat is real though! Any twinges I’ve had I think have all been wind 😂

@Mococo1 I did my first FRER for the BFP on Thursday, did a CB digital yesterday and did another FRER this morning 🙈

I feel like I’m going slightly crazy though because I’ve not really had many symptoms - the ones I have had have been super mild. I almost want to feel more symptoms/stronger symptoms so it’ll start to feel real.

OnNaturesCourse · 13/06/2020 18:25

Anyone struggling with exhaustion, and feeling motion sick 90% the time so having no appetite at all?

I slept 1am - 11am today, and ever since 3pm I've been asleep on my feet. I feel horrible, and it's literally a struggle doing anything. Totally done in.

Little11 · 13/06/2020 19:06

@OnNaturesCourse yes! I am right there with you on the exhaustion. Feel like I am wading through treacle I’m so tired all of the time. Had a lunchtime nap day and was struggling again by 5pm. I’m in bed already

@unluckyducky Woohoo indeed, that's great news! We also did a test yesterday and it said 2-3 weeks as well, it felt so nice to see that.

Ah that’s great news!! I’m doing another CB digital on Friday and really hoping that it’s 2-3 weeks, will be really stressed if it’s still 1-2

All good here, wife is very tired, which I take as a good sign. In these early days I sometimes find it difficult not knowing anything as I don't experience the changes. We have a ritual every evening in bed, I use a nice body butter to moisture her tummy and speak to it. We did it every single day of her first pregnancy as well and was a great experience. And I don't know if it has anything to do with it but she didn't get a single stretch mark, but it is probably down to her genetics rather than the moisturizing regime 😂

DAC21 · 14/06/2020 09:06

@TheGirlWhoLived We were also afraid of what the digital would say so did a cheap test first and when we saw the dark line then were brave enough to go for digital.

TheGirlWhoLived · 14/06/2020 09:07

Really happy this morning (caved and did my CB early, I have absolutely no willpower) and it said 2-3 weeks now, which is more in line with my dates! Quite relieved, I think that makes me about 5 weeks? My periods are a bit all over the shop though so I’m not really sure how long my cycle is. Usually about 30 days so I think EDD will be 5th-10th feb afaik!

There’s another bus for February, do you think it’s worth all Joining up in one thread or is this both feb and March??

TheGirlWhoLived · 14/06/2020 09:08

Yeah @DAC21 I was watching it with one eye closed. That bloody timer takes so long!

TheGirlWhoLived · 14/06/2020 09:11

I’ve put a link from the feb 2021 to this one in the hope to gather ya all in one place. May work, may not!
