Welcome @Sara7455 and congrats. Snap with first and keeping gender a surprise 😊
Have you had your big scan then?

Sara7455 · 25/04/2020 12:51

@ShiningStarz hi! Yes I had it at 19+2 so feels like ages ago already. Such a surreal experience going into hospital with everything going on but lovely to see baby healthy - even if LO annoyed the sonographer by refusing to stay in a helpful spot for her measurements!

Have you had yours yet?

ShiningStarz · 25/04/2020 13:10

That's great @Sara7455 💜
I'v got my check up and scan on Tuesday morning. 🤞

Chanel05 · 25/04/2020 13:44

@ShiningStarz almost your half way day! Four sleeps till mine.

Sara7455 · 25/04/2020 14:32

@ShiningStarz that’s great! Hope it all goes well 💕

Sunflower1608 · 25/04/2020 16:00

I ended up booking a private scan for today so my partner could come the scan. It's his first babies and felt so bad that he was so down at not being able to see them at scans. Also had some bad news that it looks like a definite that our house move won't be going ahead until after lockdown. So he was panicking about space where we are currently located, we are very overcrowded already so adding another 2 to the mix was about stressful.
So thought the scan would cheer us up and give us something else we can focus on and plan and feel more in control.
Found out we are having one of each

ShiningStarz · 25/04/2020 16:25

That's great news about your scan @Sunflower1608 I'm sure you would both rather be in your new home but I'm sure you'll make your current home perfect for your babies. They'll be too little to know and as long as they have you that'll be all they need.

@Chanel05 I'm wishing away the sunny weekend lol!! I got through mini panics thinking little one hasn't moved much and then usually by evening it's fine 🤞hope your doing well x

emma278 · 25/04/2020 16:34

@ShiningStarz exactly the same with mini panics!!!

Anyone else just feel mega lazy at the moment. I feel like ive lost my get up and go just feel so down 😔

Lazydaisydaydream · 25/04/2020 17:06

I try and get out for a walk every day. Very lucky that we live right by the beach so I can walk the dog there and not see anybody else. I can definitely feel the difference this pregnancy to last time though from the lack of exercise I'm doing. Has anyone found any good pregnancy workouts on YouTube/netflix/prime? I tried a yoga one but I'd prefer something more active and cardio.

Sara7455 · 25/04/2020 17:33

Definitely with you feeling lazy @emma278 I’m normally quite active so feeling like I want to lie down all the time is making me a bit miserable. Still getting out to walk the dog everyday and trying to fit in other exercise but I definitely feel like I’m slowing down and starting to waddle a bit already - keep telling myself 21 weeks is bit early for that!

@Lazydaisydaydream I’m loving bumps & burpees and mamawelluk on YouTube for pregnancy safe workouts that are pretty active.

Chanel05 · 25/04/2020 17:37

@ShiningStarz I haven't really felt baby yet. I'll be glad when my scan is over really as I'm getting so much anxiety.

Lorna198 · 25/04/2020 18:44

@Chanel05 I feel ya mate! Not feeling movement so the scan is gonna bring peace of mind. Anxiety is rife at the moment! Roll on Wednesday!

Lilice · 25/04/2020 18:52

@Lazydaisydaydream I bought a cross trainer on argo for about 160 quid. Such a good investment. I use it everyday and I know I'll be using it after as well to get back into shape. I usually go to the gym but now I wont need to and will save money on my membership.

Lazydaisydaydream · 25/04/2020 19:49

@lilice oh wow I would love to get something like that but definitely don't have the space unfortunately.

Thanks @Sara7455 I'll look that up 👍

ChipsAreLife · 26/04/2020 08:30

@OrDis if my hayfever wasn't so bad I would be out every day for a walk. But at the moment I only go every few days with the girls for an hour. I live in market town and everyone is so good at keeping their distance and it's never too busy so it's very low risk!

But I'm also carrying on with my normal hiit workouts at home, but theyre starting to make me very stiff the next day so will start doing more pre natal. Body fit by Amy has some nice ones. Will check those others out too.

Re movements at my scan they send I had a high anterior placenta, I didn't think anything of it and sonographer said nothing but a friend mentioned it made feeling movements harder. I am feeling them but it's very low down. So it could be that? But also with my first I didn't really feel much before 21 weeks. Try not to worry although easier said than done!!!

I have started complying my baby list! Helps get me excited 🥳🥳🥳

Hope everyone is good? Weather meant to turn tomorrow so having a garden day!

Hi everyone.. I've been peeping in on you all for a while, high time I joined because you are all a very supportive bunch. I'm 21 weeks, due on sep 6th with my first. What a time to be pregnant 😁

DaffyTaffy24 · 26/04/2020 09:53

Hi @smilymami! Congratulations! You're not wrong there! Have you had your scan, did you find out what gender?

@ChipsAreLife yyaaassss! Nothing better than a good list! My partner was concerned that I had emptied a double wardrobe all for the baby... until he saw my lists (yes lists... plural)... he may have been right that I didn't need to tape out the rest of the furniture on to the carpet mind you. But we need to visualise! Before I get him painting 😝

This may be a silly question but baby baths? Is it worth buying a posh expensive bath with adjustable seat and what not? Or nothing wrong with the basic little tub?

DaffyTaffy24 · 26/04/2020 10:00

Also these came yesterday!! Grin

I actually saw someone with this changing bag last June in Alton Towers, long before I had even come off the pill. But knew that's the one 😊

Little journal was a present from the boy (partner) 😊 he's so lush.

Getting super excited now, scan tomorrow!!

Smilymami · 26/04/2020 10:12

Had my scan last week. Everything was perfect.. we did not find out the gender. I want that amazing surprise for after the hard job of pushing.. I think it will be so much more exciting.
We haven't bought anything or even thought about a nursery.. lol. We are just taking one day at a time, I hope to get most things from my brother's kids.
Is anyone else's baby a king Fu fighter? My baby NEVER stops moving. It kicks, summersaults, and hiccups loads. OMG. When it's hungry it kicks, after a sugar rush it blows me, if I don't eat when I ought to it makes me nauseous. Sometimes, it sits in the right corner of my uterus so that my bump becomes a funny shape.. does this happen to only me?

Sara7455 · 26/04/2020 10:43

Hi @smilymami and lovely news your scan went well! We’re team yellow with a little wriggler as well. Mostly quite low down but when it’s sat on the right the same as yours I get a real booting!!

@DaffyTaffy24 where is that changing bag from? It’s gorgeous 😍. Hope the scan goes well tomorrow! 😊

MooseWL · 26/04/2020 10:56

@daffytaffy24 I have no idea where all the baby stuff is going to go! Seems like they need so much! I'm excited to start looking properly after my scan (still 2 weeks to go!) but will definitely get lots second hand/from cousins etc. My partners family have also started knitting baby clothes to keep them busy in lockdown 😍

Still no movement here either Chanel but I'm trying to remember I'm only 18 weeks and it's different for everyone. My friend said she felt nothing until 24 weeks with her baby last year!

I've not really been exercising other than walking (after an hour walk my back kills now!) and lots of yoga. I danced before lockdown and was hoping to continue throughout but obviously classes have stopped now.

Lazydaisydaydream · 26/04/2020 10:59

@DaffyTaffy24 we had a schnuggle bath for my son which was perfect. It's more of a bucket shape so doesn't take up as much space and has a lip in the bottom to help hold the baby up so you can have one hand on the baby and the other hand washing... I'll be honest I never figured out how to wash the baby otherwise haha. Have lent it to a few friends since and they've all loved it as well. My son used it until he was about 6/7 months and then once he could sit without being held we had him in a seat in the main bath.

Lorna198 · 26/04/2020 11:16

Hi @Sara7455 and @Smilymami welcome to you both!

@DaffyTaffy24 I have the same book! It’s great.

@ChipsAreLife yeah my mind is gone. Tried to put something for the microwave in the fridge yesterday. It didn’t go well 😂

DaffyTaffy24 · 26/04/2020 11:41

@Smilymami sounds like your little one has some sass already! As I type I'm getting a kicking... I'm pretty sure I have the baby cast of Stomp in my belly... bin lids and all Grin
@Sara7455 amazon! It's called lekebaby, only £25! I was a bit worried about the size as it seemed really small, and they dont measure changing backpacks in litres like a hiking one 🤣 Read alot of reviews and everyone seemed happy with size and this has sssooo many pockets, I love it. Even a bottom of bag zip so you dont have to take everything out to find stuff.

Ohhhh @MooseWL fab! Booties and bobble hats Smile I think it's difficult for someone who hasn't had much to do with babies to realise how much kit a baby comes with! He thought we'd be alright with the two drawers under the changing table 🤣

@Lazydaisydaydream I've just had a nose, looks ideal! Thanks! All else fails I'm pretty sure I've got a car washing bucket in the shed I could dunk them in 😋
