I think mines dropped too.

I’m so uncomfortable now I’m just ready to be done! Still getting lots of period type pains and constant need to pee!

Emmacb82 · 27/04/2020 12:12

I’ve lost some more plug today and bump has dropped. But that’s it, head doesn’t feel engaged and no pains or anything. Keep coming over all emotional!

Hope it all goes smoothly @itsybitsya

november90 · 27/04/2020 13:27

Well I thought mine had dropped but it's gone back up now 😂 apparently that's normal for your 2nd or later baby 🙈

Oh my goodness @Emmacb82 that's so exciting! I keep looking out for the plug as that was the first thing to happen with my first 😀

@itsybitsya oh bless you, I bet an induction gives you such a crazy mixture of emotions! I'm really excited for you :)

Rhayader · 27/04/2020 13:34

Sorry I’m a bit late to the party. Good luck ladies! I’m due 20th of May but woke last night with lower back pain which really freaked me out as I’m 36+5 so not quite term - it seems to have gone now and I don’t think the baby has dropped, this is number 3 and I remember it being fairly uncomfortable....

woollycat · 27/04/2020 13:50

I am 36+4 today, don't think my bump has dropped yet! When can I expect it to happen? Getting all excited about reaching 37 weeks!!

facevalue · 27/04/2020 13:57

@woollycat i'm 37+1 today. i don't think my bump dropped- never dropped last pregnancy until my section at 41+5! my cervix never dilated last time! 🤪 never saw blug never had water break and no idea what actual labour or induction are about ( apart from what you read). looking forward to having my baby in 2 weeks !

AlmostAlwyn · 27/04/2020 15:26

Last time, mine dropped around a week before my first was born. Didn't notice any dropping this time and my baby was born yesterday afternoon! A little earlier than expected at 38+4 but all went well!

I had a few cramps in the morning, which I thought was just from sitting in an uncomfortable chair, but then my water broke at 12 and baby was born 4 hours later - 1 hour after getting to hospital Grin stayed another 4 hours for checks and paperwork then we went home!

Emmacb82 · 27/04/2020 15:40

Congratulations @AlmostAlwyn sounds like everything went really well and so lovely you were home the same day. Enjoy those newborn snuggles x

GinUnicorn · 27/04/2020 15:45

Congratulations @AlmostAlwyn

What a great news

facevalue · 27/04/2020 15:49

@AlmostAlwyn omg congratulations - your birth story is the most wonderful and lucky scenario for any mum x well done for doing this and getting home... hope you get some rest now

CharlieB93 · 27/04/2020 15:55

@AlmostAlwyn massive congratulations, how wonderful! Enjoy every moment 💕 hope you are both well!

Clairesoph · 27/04/2020 15:59

@AlmostAlwyn amazing! Congratulations my lovely, enjoy it all xxx

itsybitsya · 27/04/2020 16:30

@AlmostAlwyn congratulations!

Pessary has been in 5 hours now, starting to feel a bit crampy but nothing consistent.

I am incredibly bored, it's all good and well being in a room on your own but it's lonely, my partner isn't allowed on the ward so other than the lady who bought my lunch in earlier I haven't seen anyone since the midwife put the pessary in !

I'm hoping things are on the move tho although I'm not holding up much hope as she said my cervix was long and thick !

CharlieB93 · 27/04/2020 16:40

@itsybitsya I can imagine it’s super boring on your own ☹️ Have you got a iPad or anything to play on? I wasted hours of time at the weekend playing on a game called ‘jigsaw puzzles’ - just basically jigsaws but very addictive 😂 I would recommend!

AlmostAlwyn · 27/04/2020 16:46

Thanks everyone! Smile

@itsybitsya it must be tough on your own! Have you got a birth ball to bounce on? Or would they bring you one? I imagine there's not that much room to move but have you been walking around? Could try some nipple stimulation too?

Caspianberg · 27/04/2020 17:05

@AlmostAlwyn - congratulations! glad it was speedy and home so quickly

39+2 here today, so 5 days until due date, literally no sign of anything happening. Bump doesn't seem to have dropped, no tightenings, no cramps, nothing. I have hoovered, baked cake, clean bathroom, etc...
Have been taking raspberry leaf tablets since 35 weeks, ate pineapple, bounced on ball, walked lots up hill, yada yada, no progress. Have next hospital appointment in 2 days.

woollycat · 27/04/2020 17:41

@AlmostAlwyn huge congratulations! I love reading positive birth stories - that's what we all need, so thanks for sharing! ☺️

Moonstone12 · 27/04/2020 17:49

@AlmostAlwyn huge congratulations :) xx

november90 · 27/04/2020 17:50

@AlmostAlwyn awww congratulations! Just like that your baby is home 😍 what was baby's weight? I hope you and all your family are well!

@itsybitsya oh bless you, it must be so surreal! Everything will all happen at once, I can't wait to hear the news baby is here 😀❤️

AlmostAlwyn · 27/04/2020 18:31

@november90 she was 8lbs. Just one tiny tear. All well and taking it easy! Smile

@Caspianberg it's frustrating waiting and wondering when things will get started, but it'll happen!

itsybitsya · 27/04/2020 18:44

So just had my 6 hourly monitoring session, I'm having contractions, nothing to rant and rave about but they're there and are consistent - just got to hope that they're doing what they need to be doing now !

Next monitor session will be just after midnight if nothing happens by then

helpasisterout · 27/04/2020 19:29

@AlmostAlwyn congratulations so nice to hear you are home and enjoying baby! I think it will be frustrating not having relatives or friends meet baby as quick as we would like but a nice opportunity to soak it all in! Take care x

Lu1u · 27/04/2020 19:57

@itsybitsya you are doing so well! All sounds very positive, hope you are able to get some sort of rest before being checked again at midnight x

Lu1u · 27/04/2020 20:00

@almostalwyn wow congratulations! What an amazing quick labour, hope you and baby are doing well

sao81 · 27/04/2020 20:20

@almostalwyn congratulations!! Sounds like it went really well, hope you are both doing ok xxx
