Hi all, can I join? Some of you may remember me from other threads. Just had a 2 month holiday so am back and got my BFP in August. Haven´t had time to read the messages on here yet so will do that now. Congrats to everyone by the way

EllieG · 04/09/2007 11:01

Hello all, course you can join soph73 - are you the same as soph28? Or is it just a spooky coincidence?
Hey babywhiting - most impressed at you producing a 4th! Am not in maternity gear yet but only cos am wearing my loose clothes - tight jeans are nowhere near comfy now!

I know what you mean EllieG - I never thought I´d be here either. In fact I don´t think it´s actually sunk in that I´m pregnant (apart from the continual weeing, incredibly sore boobs & weight gain ) Hopefully reality will kick in when I see the midwife.

EllieG · 04/09/2007 11:48

Rolled over on to my front last night and yelped from the soreness of the boobs! Poor DP - best clevage I've had EVER and it's a strictly 'Look but don't touch rule'

OP posts:
Soph73 · 04/09/2007 11:55

Hee hee, my dh keeps looking longingly at mine as well - lol. I really miss not being able to sleep on my tummy though as that´s normally the most comfy position for me.

babywhiting · 04/09/2007 12:19

yeah tell me about !! had to buy one of those big body pillows to get some sleep its more my tummy that hurts than my boobs they'll always be big ,yes dp thinks its great they grow more!!!!
have just booked the drs for thursday so cant wait to be referred and have a scan woohooo!!!! (scared there may be 2 though!! twins run in dp's family)

Soph73 · 04/09/2007 13:10

babywhiting - know what you mean about twins, they run in dh´s family as well. We already have 1 son but I´m only a few weeks pregnant at the mo and look and feel huge so trying not to think about it

EllieG · 04/09/2007 13:19

I think twins come from the mother's side don't they? Could be wrong though might google it if don't feel like working much this afternoon.

modsaluk · 04/09/2007 13:25

Hi all, its great that you have opened a new thread, was just wondering why ? is it that there was so many messages on the other ?

Not feeling too bad at the moment, feels like my scan is ages away. Think i am going to book into my doctor / midwife about the back ache make sure i get the best thing available. Argos do a support pillow which is ok for the car too but want to check these are ok, not sure why they wouldnt be but they might recommend something better.

Dolly glad your scan went well.

modsaluk · 04/09/2007 13:29

Ellieg let us know what you find out about twins, my mum is convinced i am having twins as quite big. My uncle should have been a twin but the twin died at birth, and on my husbands side his grandma was a twin, so a little worried. Think i would have to give up work all together to look after them not really fair for our mums to look after three children for us.

I feel the same really do not feel like doing anything today either.

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 04/09/2007 13:37

Hi All,

Feeling so much better today although more to add to my drama and it really does feel like a drama! I rang the EPU this morning and they have said to try and rest and hope for the best I am booked in for a scan next Tuesday (which feels about 10 years away) so hopfully we will see a heart beat then if I havent MC! The optimisam of some doctors astounds me Also I was told that I have Group Strep B so if I do start to MC I need to get antibiotics fast that has come completley out of the blue as I didnt have it with DS or they never noticed I had it anyway something to add to the back ache I suppose have not had any pink discharge or cramps since yesterday afternoon so I am hopeful that all is ok PMA

On a different note because this isnt all about me you know modsaluk Yes the other thread got too big it seems either we all talk too much or there is a hell of a lot of women having babies in April (think its a bit of both)

Hope all are well me signing off

EllieG · 04/09/2007 13:39

I started another thread cos I wanted to feel important modsaluk, like I am the centre and reason for all things..

Only joking, no too many messages on other one - won't let you post after 1000 so you have to start new ones if chatty!
Will let you know what the internet comes up with about twins. Asked my DP how we would manage if we were expecting twins and he said 'We'll pick our favourite and leave the other one at the hospital'. Think he was joking...

OP posts:
Soph73 · 04/09/2007 13:46

EllieG - at your dp. Don´t think I´m ready to broach the subject of twins with my dh, think he´d probably go white and pass out!!

Peachy · 04/09/2007 13:49

I thought the twins thing was predominantly from the amternal side? Because identical twins dont run so much in famillies (as is one egg fertilised by two sperm), whereas the fraternal twins require dual ovulation- do would HDs family affect the likelihood I wonder?

dad had three sets of twins as siblings (but a huge family, 16 kids), Mum has laods of twins in her family as well. None of us have ahd them though- thankfully!

splishsplosh · 04/09/2007 13:55

haven't written for a while as dp uses computer in the evening & when dd sleeps in the day I ususally join her, I'm so tired.

Don't feel at all pg still. Even the slight period type pains seem to have gone away, very mild occasional queasiness. Feel bit fat but think that's probably chocolate!

I went to the gym today to enable me to eat more chocolate. Ae you supposed to tell the instructor, or not worry till later? Don't really want to tell many people as so early still (*wks +2) and so few symptoms. Just remembering it was the same last time, so hopefully all is ok. Have 1st appointmnent with gp tomorrow - back to the joy of weeing in small containers.

Hope everyone is doing well today - good luck with your scan next week TLSM.

loisstella · 04/09/2007 14:00

ouch ouch ouch.
Just had a massage - which sounds great...but it was on one of those massage chairs and my boobs pressed against the chair - It feels like my boobs are baout to burst!
Otherwise having an okay day. No sickness or nausea today. Had to walk into work because of tube strike though and I have become really slow - is that normal? It seems I just can't walk as fast anymore!

babywhiting · 04/09/2007 16:12

oohh i'd love a massage!!! have to ask dp nicely this evening but then again he might think i want more than that!!!

snowgirl · 04/09/2007 16:16

Hi all,
Can I join you?? EDD is April 6th and been meaning to get on and join for weeks. Am in need of some reassurance! Had a bleed last night so been in for a scan this morning. Saw the heartbeat but was warned that this puts me at higher risk of MC. Anyone else had a bleed? Feeling relieved but still fraught really. Didn't have anything like this in first PG.

babywhiting · 04/09/2007 16:22

hi snowgirl sorry to hear you bled last night, glad you had a scan and all seems well!
glad you came to join us there are loads of us due in april so keep us posted and take care

Thelittlesoldiersmummy · 04/09/2007 17:30

Snowgirl welcome to have a heartbeat is brilliant! have you stopped bleeding? was it very heavy? I have read that bleeding is quite common in early pregnancy and when a heartbeat is heard it really reduces the risks of a MC There are a few ladies on here who have had a bleed I have had pink discharge over the last few days not quite as bad as a bleed but still very worrying. Have they booked you another scan?
