45andfine · 19/01/2020 00:23

@sulkysukey .. I'm rubbish at tagging others. Hopefully everyone will find us!

sulkysukey · 19/01/2020 08:54

Thanks for the new thread @Dweebette. Exciting news Bessie, hope you're recovering well at home 💕. My baby was apparently 7lb at my 35 week scan (!) so am being induced in 2 weeks at 38 weeks. I've started getting my bags packed knowing it'll be quite soon now! Yikes... So who's going to be next? Wishing everyone well!

45andfine · 19/01/2020 09:08

I'm booked in for the 30th, but I reckon there's a good chance I won't be the next...👀👀.

Can't motivate myself to pack my hospital Bag, not sure why!

Dweebette · 19/01/2020 09:11

I'm not sure until 28th Feb so I reckon I'll be last in the group. Love hearing everyone's stories though, gets me excited. I've started gathering things for my hospital bag and I'm going to wash the baby clothes etc today so they're ready to go - I'm a planner so like to be as organised as possible!

@dweebette I'm due 24/2 and almost convinced she will be born 25/2 as that's my birthday! You may come early and I may come late! Race you lol

Ginny1234 · 19/01/2020 10:47

Thanks for the tag and setting up the new thread. 😊

Ginny1234 · 19/01/2020 10:50

Random worry question #101 ...
Anyone else got small, slightly raised brown bumps on their boobs/nipples? Not those oil gland things, they look like liver spots but raised. Did a google and scared myself!!
They've deffo just appeared during pregnancy.

hazandduck · 19/01/2020 11:48

Thanks for the new thread! Sorry I kept meaning to set one up @Dweebette!

Due 6th of Feb. The fanny daggers are killing me! We walked to the shop this morning and I honestly thought i was going to wet myself!

Could they be skin tags @Ginny1234? I have quite a few little ones on my neck chest and boobs that go once baby is born (happened with DD too) it’s hormones apparently.

lovesT · 19/01/2020 14:51

@Ginny1234 I recently noticed a patch of brown which looks dimply but doesn't feel different on my boob and it worried me a bit too .. but I remember reading about "the mask of pregnancy", not sure if it's the same thing but I'm sure it was about darker patches of skin. It's only really light and wouldn't be noticeable at a glance but I noticed it in the shower.sounds like it could just be one of those pregnancy things?

hazandduck · 19/01/2020 15:40

Just got home from what was meant to be lunch with my sisters and turned out to be a surprise baby shower! Was not expecting it as it’s my second baby! It’s so weird people saying they’ll see me now when I’ve had the baby...trying not to freak out! 😬 Shit is getting real now.

Anyone having any niggles or anything yet?

Dweebette · 19/01/2020 16:52

@doublebarrellednurse haha the race is on! This is my first so I'm expecting to go overdue.

Currently freaking out a bit as baby isn't moving as much as it normally is. Have just had a pint of coke and some toast to try and wake it up but giving it another half hour then I'm going to call as it just feels different and I'm a bit crampy as well. It's probably nothing but my mind is in overdrive

OP posts:
doublebarrellednurse · 19/01/2020 19:01

@Dweebette my first was 3 weeks early 😜

If you're worried go and get seen they would always rather see you. Have something really cold, always gets mine moving

Dweebette · 19/01/2020 19:04

I called and they just told me to eat dinner then lie on my side for 2 hours and count kicks. Thankfully baby is now giving me a good kicking so I'm reassured. Think I maybe just overdid it this weekend so baby was sleepy and I was crampy from muscle use! It's the first scare I've had since very early on so I'm counting myself lucky

LolaLollypop · 19/01/2020 21:26

@hazandduck we do seem to be following eachother.. I've just got back from a surprise baby shower thrown by my friends too 😆 I also wasn't expecting one for no2!

@Ginny1234 your boobs/nips will look different as they prepare for baby's arrival. I'd say if it's on both boobs it's probably just one of those "pregnancy things"!

Ginny1234 · 19/01/2020 22:27

Surprise baby showers, that's my idea of hell!! But I know I'm in the minority and I'm glad you both enjoyed them 😊

Thanks for the boob comments. They're actually only on one boob and that was one reason why I was concerned. They're definitely not skin tags as they're king of oval and flat but slightly raised. I've got an consultant appointment on Thursday though so I'll ask them about it then to put my mind at rest. I'd make a GP appointment but would have to wait two weeks so may as well take advantage of the people I'm seeing anyway.

37 weeks tomorrow. Packed and ready to go. Hurry up little baby 👶🏼🥰

Soda123x · 19/01/2020 22:52

Hi all !
@Dweebette I'm due 28th Feb too. Soooooo many people have said "oooh could be a leap year baby" hahaha knowing my luck it probs will be. We haven't found out the sex which is super exciting !! Im having my baby shower on Saturday and then following that we will see if there's any last few bits I need to get.
It's all starting to get very real now xx

Dweebette · 20/01/2020 05:49

@soda123x everyone says the leap year thing to me as well!! I'm really hoping for any date other than 29th though and have had 3rd March in my head for months (no reason). We also haven't found out the sex, so excited to find out on the big day!

I'm not having a baby shower, my family and friends did offer but I declined

doublebarrellednurse · 20/01/2020 06:54

Baby shower sounds painful to me too! I hate being the center of those kinds of things but like attending them. I suspect my lovely service users at work will do something and that will be sweet, I work with 18-25 year old women who have serious mental health conditions and they are very excited lol

FirstTimeDS · 20/01/2020 13:19

Surprisingly I have managed to keep hold of my little bean, I'm 37+5 now! Got a feeling he wont be out till 42 weeks after the whole fiasco at 36 weeks.

hazandduck · 20/01/2020 17:45

Haha I know what you mean about being the centre of attention but it was lovely and low key, we just had lunch in a little village pub with my sisters and my closest friends, basically eating and chatting too much! 😄

How funny @LolaLollypop maybe we will have our babies on the same day! Hope you had a lovely time :)

@doublebarrellednurse I find it really touching how much excitement a new baby brings for other people, friends, colleagues etc, DH has been sent home from a customer’s house with a couple of lovely home knitted hats in the last week, one for our DD and one for the baby when they heard I was about to pop! It’s so sweet.

hazandduck · 20/01/2020 17:46

Great news @FirstTimeDS you’ll be eating curries and trying everything to get that baby out in a couple of weeks time! X
