Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

@MaisieMolly I find symptoms come and go. Don't think like that until you have to

PandaPink · 25/12/2019 10:17

No @girlygirl98 I'm fat already haha

girlygirl98 · 25/12/2019 10:27

That was meant to say my bmi not bum lol

PandaPink · 25/12/2019 10:46

Haha my BMI is 35!! I've lost half a stone since finding out I was pregnant Im Just glad I have it to lose! Merry Xmas all!

Autumn20 · 25/12/2019 13:09

@maisiemay

Autumn20 · 25/12/2019 13:13

@maisiemolly (sorry my tagging doesn't seem to be working properly!), I think symptoms can come and go and aren't that much of an indication. I know they feel reassuring but I wouldn't think you're out just through having a good symptom day. Try not to worry too much, hopefully they'll be back soon to reassure you Thanks

MaisieMolly · 25/12/2019 15:04

Thank you. Sorry to be a downer. Hope everyone’s having fun Christmasses, I’m actually quite enjoying not drinking!

Firstmummytobe · 25/12/2019 18:27

Been in hospital all day with this stupid Norovirus, vomiting and diarrhoea baby is all fine just have to rest now but I’m severely dehydrated so going to have to stay in hospital over night u fortunately 😞

Firstmummytobe · 25/12/2019 18:28

@MaisieMolly I wouldn’t presume that until somthing had happens honestly jsut enjoy the fact you have a beautiful healthy baby inside of you, hope your feeling better have a good rest of your Christmas xxx

MaisieMolly · 25/12/2019 18:49

@firstmummytobe how awful for you to be so sick. Hope you feel better soon! Xx

Jojo19834 · 25/12/2019 21:26

Eugh @Firstmummytobe that sounds awful. I’m on my second illness since being pregnant and I have a super strong immune system normally. Working in a care home/around kids must be a minefield

@MaisieMolly I definitely wouldn’t worry yet, my symptoms have been low and today I actually ate a full Christmas lunch (including meat, I’ve been vegetarian for a year but just want meat!). Keep positive, it’s good for the baby. Can you get a scan if you are worried?

NamiSwan · 26/12/2019 06:07

@maisiemolly my symptoms come and go, so fingers crossed for you that's all it is.

@firstmummytobe hope you feel better soon, sounds absolutely awful. Glad baby is ok.

I had a rubbish Christmas as my dad passed away very unexpectedly on the 23rd. We had a difficult relationship (he was an alcoholic) but it was a shock and I'm sad. And stressed about the effect it will have on the baby. I'm 8+3 so hoping my little bean is strong enough to cope with all the stress hormones. DD1 and DD2 are too young to understand (6 and 3) which is good for them as meant it didn't ruin Christmas for them and served as distraction for me. Unfortunately my morning sickness came back with a vengeance this week so having to deal with grief whilst feeling like crap was just awful and made it harder.

Tink12345 · 26/12/2019 08:14

@NamiSwan Oh honey...that's awful. I lost a close friend recently and had his funeral on monday and that was hard enough. Grief is a strange thing. I have found it's best to not try and keep it away and let the tears come. Lots of cuddles with your little ones will help

ChristmasComing123 · 26/12/2019 08:45

Sorry to hear that @NamiSwan. How's everyone feeling? Anyone past sickness stage? I ve been feeling very sick last two days now 5+4 and got a feeling just going to get worse.

Jojo19834 · 26/12/2019 10:16

Hi all, I have cramping today, had it since some point in the night, anyone else had this? No spotting and I know it can be normal but don’t know if others have had this (I’m 8 weeks)?

Sjacey · 26/12/2019 11:03

Ever since I hit 6 weeks I’ve had the worst nausea I throw up every morning and then continue to feel sick for the rest of the day I’ve actually cried a few times because to me this is torture. Anyone not experiencing sickness do not wish this on yourselves I had zero sickness with my first son just enjoy feeling normal !!!!! I wouldn’t wish this on anyone :( suffering so bad.

Sjacey · 26/12/2019 11:04

P.s hope everyone had a lovely Christmas !!! Lol xx

Tink12345 · 26/12/2019 17:57

Early scan tomorrow at 6.30 😬 Nervous and feel sick!
@Frazzlerock How are you getting on??

Amanda3188 · 26/12/2019 18:45

Thought I'd share my scan pic I got on Christmas Eve, I have been so obsessively worried about everything this pregnancy but getting this scan has really calmed me. If you can get a early scan I'd recommend it just for peace of mind. Baby is measuring 7 +2 weeks with a good strong heartbeat.

Frazzlerock · 26/12/2019 22:12

Hey @tink12345
I'm good thanks. I'm still here, just popping in now and again. This group has become so huge I'm struggling to keep up 😂

Our scan is at 8:30am. Not sure how to feel really. I've no reason to believe anything is wrong, but neither did I with my previous babies so I'm having to be realistic.
I wish I could be as excited as lots of you on here. I know I should just be positive but it's hard to do when you've had 4 years of shit news. Whether it's constant negative preg tests or those horrific words said by a sonographer.
Anyway, to be honest, I do feel more positive than previous pregnancies and have a gut feeling this one will be okay, so maybe that's something?

Anyway @tink12345 I'm wishing you so much luck for tomorrow. Let's both bring back two more positive scan stories to the group tomorrow!

MaisieMolly · 26/12/2019 22:22

@Tink12345 and @Frazzlerock good luck for your scans tomorrow x

Polly1116 · 27/12/2019 08:43

Good luck with your scans today @Tink12345 and @Frazzlerock . We had a private one booked for today at 13.05 and even though we ended up having one at the EPU on Tuesday I’ve kept the appointment as it’s really lovely at the private one and they’ll give us lots of pics as well. Obviously feeling a bit less nervous because we saw everything was ok Tuesday but still a little bit nervous x

Frazzlerock · 27/12/2019 09:58

After an excruciating wait in the waiting room (they always keep us waiting!) I am excited to announce Baby Frazzle is all good!
Good heartbeat and spot on for dates.
I'm in shock I think.
I have a pic but it's crap. We saw some really good views of the baby watching live, but she took a rubbish pic that doesn't look like very much at all. I'm not that bothered, I'm just so relieved baby is okay for now

Macbless · 27/12/2019 10:07

@Frazzlerock that's such great news.
Hope the scans for @Polly1116 and @Tink12345 go as well today.
We're on our way down for Christmas number 2 with my DH's family. It's a long drive and I feel a bit queasy and unbelievably tired. It was alright with my family just to fall asleep/nip off to rest for a while but feel a bit awkward doing it there. However, think I'm going to have to get over it - I can't fight the exhaustion! (Hate to moan as I'm so pleased we're pregnant)
Xx

Babykent2019 · 27/12/2019 10:36

@Frazzlerock so glad everything has gone well, x x x
