Hey! Just wanted to start up a thread because I couldn’t find another one, just got my BFP today after about 6 months of trying. Due date is 1st august! Still feeling nervous as I’ve had 2 miscarriages in the past but both before 6 weeks, so ill be keeping my fingers crossed and wont let myself get too excited until that deadline has passed!

Hope to hear from other ladies due at the same time, and hear your BFP stories :) xx

@Girlinglasses great that we are not alone. This time it will stick. August babies are winner right?

Em012 · 26/11/2019 19:31

@Girlinglasses I guess I cant really complain just seems odd 😂

DanielleG96 · 26/11/2019 19:31

@JessManc same due date! I feel like these first 12 weeks will be the longest of my life before I get to see my baby! It's hard to believe, I don't think it will really feel real to me until I have my first scan and start growing a bump!

DanielleG96 · 26/11/2019 19:32

@Girlinglasses really! Twins really run in my family. I'm actually a twin myself and so was my nan! I think twins for my first pregnancy might be a lot!

JessManc · 26/11/2019 19:34

Thanks so much everyone and congrats to us all!

It is very hard not to be excited I agree. It’s my first time pregnant and all my sisters have had smooth pregnancies and no miscarriages but still, I’m trying to be mindful that what will be, will be.

Glad to have a group here to talk to about it all though :)

JessManc · 26/11/2019 19:35

I know! I currently just feel like I’ve eaten too much pasta. Because I have. Otherwise no different haha!

JessManc · 26/11/2019 19:36

Oh that above post was aimed at you @DanielleG96 - still figuring out the forum clearly

Araz208 · 26/11/2019 19:52

@Em012 @Girlinglasses @JessManc @Grainedesesame congrats to you all, im totally new to these types of forums so ive got no idea if im doing this right Blush but so happy to hear of everyones BFPs - @jess mine was just a home test, ive been to my GP before after my miscarriages at 6ish weeks, who told me not to bother coming again before 8 weeks!!

Wonder if ill be symptom spotting any less now TTC is (hopefully!) over with lol! Grin

Congratulations on your BFP’s ladies 😊 I got mine last week, due 3rd Aug if my calc is correct. It’s my first baby/pregnancy, feeling really excited but also very scared!! Keep coming across horror stories that are freaking me out already 🙈.

@Araz208 yours docs sound horrible!! Is anyone else planning on seeing GP sooner? I was going to call mine tomorrow...

Girlinglasses · 26/11/2019 20:35

I have a doc app next week anyway so just going to tell them then - I went in almost straight away last time, wasn't even 5 weeks, and doc was lovely and just sent off my details to the local maternity etc. They also told me I can get an early scan this time as I had a miscarriage last time- was anyone else told something similar?

Grainedesesame · 26/11/2019 20:40

@Girlinglasses I've been to see my GP today to register my very new pregnancy. They told me the same- that I should call the hospital to see if they could book me for an early scan since I had a miscarriage last time.

I mean it's only 4 weeks, I feel I'm rushing everything to make sure it's real Smile

Girlinglasses · 26/11/2019 20:44

@Grainedesesame I'm the same, I also really want to tell a few closer family members which my husband thinks is a bad idea but I feel like I want to have the experience of telling people the good news because I'm worried it'll go away soon 🙈 I'm going to start trying to be more positive and hopeful now- worrying won't help anything and I don't want to ruin the experience for myself for no reason. Sending you lots of positive vibes! ❤️

Rara87 · 26/11/2019 20:58

I imagine it’s hard after a miscarriage but yes try and stay positive @Girlinglasses

I’m usually a real worrier but I have a good feeling so not even letting my mind go there...instead jumped straight to fretting about the birth ha!

It’s good that you can both potentially get some early scans 😊

I’ve told my mum and that’s it, desperate to tell my best friend but OH hasn’t told his mum and dad yet!

Girlinglasses · 26/11/2019 21:07

@Rara87 I am going to try and channel your mindset and ooze positivity :) I think I'll tell my mum tonight and leave it there!! Oh god I am absolutely not ready to think about it coming out yet, I think I'd rather focus on keeping it in 😂😂

Girlinglasses · 26/11/2019 21:09

Also I just read back and @Araz208 I can't believe your GP said that, would you consider changing gp? What a horrible thing to hear after going through such a tough time, I'm so sorry x

Rara87 · 26/11/2019 21:12

@Girlinglasses 😂😂 it’s because I read an article about Marnie Simpson so got me googling and googling and googling. I’ll give it a rest now

Yes sending you positive vibes 💜💜

NamiSwan · 27/11/2019 06:27

Wow, this thread has taken off! Lovely to see so many others on the thread and congrats everyone on your BFPs!

I'm due the 3rd August which is also my birthday, would be a lovely present but more likely will be a very heavily pregnant birthday 😱😂

Also as with some of you it doesn't feel real to me yet as no symptoms except constipation (sorry if TMI 😳), and mild backache/ cramps which have had me worried but seem pretty normal?

This will be my third, my two children are 3 and 6. They've both wanted another baby for a while, as has my DH, but I wasn't ready for another for ages. DH and I haven't told the kids or anyone yet, probably will wait till I'm about 8 weeks.. it feels too early now!

MummaC2019 · 27/11/2019 07:13

Morning all. Very new to this. Got my positive last night after a few days of light cramping, nipples turning into coachbolts, peeing soooooo much more and my other half nagging me to do the test... so according to early calculations.... were due to become a family or 3 7th August 2020.

In a bit of shock.... didnt think it would happen to me.... I'm 38... 39 in the new year. Bit late in the day compared to friends around me.

Hows everyone doing?? Xx

Em012 · 27/11/2019 07:25

@MummaC2019 Congratulations lovely! Exciting times ahead I have a doctors appointment tomorrow just to offically confirm everything. I'm so glad I've found this group x

DieCryHate · 27/11/2019 09:13

Hello everyone. I got the BFP this morning. My due date is 6 August, but I think I'll be having a ELCS the week before. This was our first try after an ectopic with my tube removed back in May. I have a horrible feeling being 7-8 weeks pregnant over Christmas and being known for liking a drink will lead to pretty much all my colleagues and family knowing earlier than we'd like! Congratulations to you all.

Mangoandlimes · 27/11/2019 14:17

Can I join? I just got my BFP today, due 2nd August 2020. Will be second baby (1st is 17 months). Am so excited!

Mangoandlimes · 27/11/2019 14:18

Agree with @DieCryHate, was just looking at dates and see i will only be 8 weeks at Christmas so too early for a scan I assume! We have family coming to stay, so hiding it will be tricky!!

CrazyCoonz · 27/11/2019 14:24

Hi ladies,

Congrats on all the positive tests!

I had a faint positive yesterday and then confirmed today on a digital test, only 11 dpo!

This is my second pregnancy but feeling nervous as lost my last baby at 14 weeks (MMC). Going to be a very anxious few months I think. Due date is 9/8/20 according to Natural Cycles app.

Gina23 · 27/11/2019 14:44

Hey everyone :) first time posting so not quite down with all this lingo 🤣
Due AF tomorrow and just had a faint positive today! Not sure I dare get too excited yet but would be due 6th Aug !
Tried to post on the app and add a photo of the stick but it kept saying it had gone on and it hadnt so had to use the browser ! And now i cant find how to add the photo 🤣

JessManc · 27/11/2019 17:54

How is everyone today? Smile

@NamiSwan - me too! I feel like I have swallowed a beach ball. So uncomfortable!

@DieCryHate - also yes, I work remotely but will be in London for two work events over the next two weeks. Trying to plan good excuses so no one knows... I've only just started so don't want anyone to know yet. It's going to be tough.
