I love following the big May 2020 threads but there's so many people on there!

I'd love to keep up with a smaller group? Anyone keen to share the below credentials and general feelings/observations/hopes/fears; and support one another over the next 7 months?

EDD: 6 May 2020
Age: 33
Baby #: #1
Location: London
Appointments (if any) so far: Booking-in with GP, scan at EPU same day when I was 6w+6d as I had bleeding early on, first midwife appointment happening 11 October.

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

Morning everyone! How are your weekends going? I'm now 10+1 and having a tough day today - I had a terrible sleep last night (needed the loo three times...!) and am feeling sick and shattered today. I have a 10 week scan as part of the Harmony test early next week though, so I'm trying to focus on that. Hope everyone else is doing ok!

BecauseItIz · 05/10/2019 13:45

Hi everyone I'm early 30s, 4th baby due the 11th May. I'm 9weeks tomorrow. My due date was pushed back 7 days at an early scan for pain and bleeding. Saw my babies heart beat which was amazing but they saw a small hematoma. I'm hoping my body absorbs it.

Congratulations to you all!

Sunshine8888 · 06/10/2019 10:43

I’m doing good thanks @tacosplease! I’m 10 weeks today (or 11+3 on LMP) - I cant wait / am nervous for scan on Thursday. If all is well I’m also going to book the harmony test.

Hi @BecauseItIz welcome!! Wow 4th baby! You’ve been busy ☺️I’m 31 and this will be my first!

tacosplease · 06/10/2019 14:46

@Sunshine8888 sounds good! I’m starting to get nervous again ahead of my Harmony viability scan next week. Really hoping everything is still ok...

BecauseItIz · 06/10/2019 15:17

@Sunshine8888 haha my second turned 13 today. I have a 14month old and now this little bean. This will be our last and with me being a twin and having many twins on my mum's side I was very relieved to see just the one in there.

That's exciting you have a scan on Thursday. Mine isn't until the 30th which feels like ages.

Sunshine8888 · 07/10/2019 10:33

@tacosplease hope the harmony test goes well. Are you having a scan first? Will you find out the gender?

jodiemay13 · 07/10/2019 10:49

Hi!
I'm 18 and 3 weeks ago I found out I was pregnant! I'm due on the 9th may! I'm now 9+2 weeks. I have my booking appointment on Wednesday. I am really worried for my first scan that I may not have anything in there...am I the only one that is worried?!

tacosplease · 07/10/2019 11:36

@Sunshine8888 Thanks! I’m starting to get quite nervous now - I’m really hoping the baby’s still ok and all on track with measurements. It will be devastating to turn up for the test and find something wrong.

I think I will find out the sex, as I don’t think I can wait. 12 weeks seems so early to find out, it’s crazy!

tacosplease · 07/10/2019 11:37

Congrats @jodiemay13! I felt exactly the same as you when I had my first scan - the whole thing felt so surreal that I couldn’t quite believe anything was in there!

jodiemay13 · 07/10/2019 11:41

@tacosplease thank you! I'm wanting to get an early scan however my partner is telling me to wait so that we can put that money in our baby fund instead of on a early scan..is the early scan worth it can someone tell me?!

Emmaaa1990 · 07/10/2019 12:25

@jodiemay13 hi Jodie I had one at 7 weeks and I thought it was worth every penny! I had a chemical pregnancy just before this one so really wanted to check! We heard heartbeat, saw heartbeat and measured perfectly! If you really want one I would definitely recommend id do it again in a heartbeat It was magical!

Sunshine8888 · 07/10/2019 13:51

Hi @jodiemay13 congrats! I have had geo early scans, one to check baby in the right place at about 6 weeks and then one at 9 weeks to check baby growing ok and still a heartbeat. Both were greatly reassuring so personally I think worth every penny. For me I’d want to know sooner rather than later if things weren’t looking good x

Sunshine8888 · 07/10/2019 13:51

I don’t know why it has typed geo!! 🙄 I meant to say two early scans!

jodiemay13 · 07/10/2019 21:27

@TurquoiseKiss I was thinking the same. A WhatsApp group would be a nice idea if anyone else would be interested in this?

Emmaaa1990 · 08/10/2019 07:38

Yeah I'd be happy with a what's app group 😊

jodiemay13 · 08/10/2019 10:50

Anyone who wants to join the WhatsApp group did you want to put your number on here and i can add you into it:) x

Hi everyone. I'm due first week in May. 2 scans so far. One has dated me as 3rd and the other as 7th. I had a scan at 8 weeks due to bleeding and had another yesterday as part of the Iona test. Results should be back monday.

Unfortunately I have hypermesis gravidarum so I don't feel pregnant at all just really ill. I'm off work, basically bedbound and have lost 11% of my body weight. I already feel like I'm failing this baby by not providing it with the nutrition it needs but I'm trying to stay positive. When I saw it yesterday throwing it's little hands about I felt so emotional and we have decided to find out the gender from the blood tests so I'm hoping that will make it feel more real!

I'm in the North West and 36. This is my first :-)

Emmaaa1990 · 08/10/2019 13:04

@Pastnowfuture oh dont I completely understand I don't think I have the sicknessto that extent but I feel rough as! I'm being sick everyday even smells set me off. It's draining but just eat whatever you fancy and whenever you can the baby will be fine! My mum told me she was sick loads but the baby just takes whatever it can from you which is why we feel even worse. As long as you are drinking and taking vitamins should be good 👍🏼

It's amazing seeing your baby in an early scan isn't it! I've got my 12 week one on the 28th and I cannot wait to see it again!
Congrats btw! 😊

Pastnowfuture · 08/10/2019 14:24

Thank you @Emmaaa1990

Scans have been the best bit so far. Bizzare to see the little one wiggling about and knowing that it is going on in my belly!

Really hope my symptoms ease off soonish and I can start enjoying being pregnant.

Caspianberg · 08/10/2019 14:28

@Pastnowfuture - I have been sick approx 4-9 weeks. Now 10+4, and sickness all the time literally stopped overnight for me, so I hope that may happen for you. I still have a few hours of feeling ill random hours of the day, but way better than 24/7.

Have my second scan tomorrow first thing

Pastnowfuture · 08/10/2019 16:20

@Caspianberg I really do hope so. Enjoy your scan tomorrow Smile

tacosplease · 08/10/2019 16:26

Bizzare to see the little one wiggling about and knowing that it is going on in my belly!

It is mad, isn't it? I still can't quite believe it's real, even after three scans!

Welcome to the thread and hope your sickness eases off soon.

Sunshine8888 · 08/10/2019 16:48

@tacosplease when is your scan? Or have you had it now? X

tacosplease · 08/10/2019 17:01

@sunshine8888 Thanks for asking! I had it this morning and all was well - I'm 10+4, the baby measured just under 4cm and had a strong heartbeat. It really looks like a baby now, compared with the eight week scan - it's crazy how quickly they grow. I also had the Harmony blood test done and will get the results two weeks today.

Good luck for your scan on Thursday! Is it your first scan? x
