Bit cheeky as my due date is May 30th, hope no one minds. Blush

The May group seems quite established. I've been slow to come to back to the Mumsnet fold, did not expect to fall first month trying.

Really excited to hear about all your lovely BFP's and share our pregnancy journeys. Smile

Got my BFP today. Expecting my 2nd. DS was a May '18 baby.

@Whatnext11 it is such a scary time the first trimester. Very hard not to think about it all the time and worry about every little twinge. If it makes you feel any better I've got what feels like cramps too. Just do anything you can to distract yourself each day. Much easier second time around as I'm chasing after my little boy 🤦‍♀️

Anny27 · 29/09/2019 09:41

@Whatnext11 about 4+3 - 4+6 i had really quite painful cramps (only at night) and they felt exactly like the type of cramps that i would get at night letting me know that my period had started.

The cramps have gone down a bit now but its apparently very common between 4 - 6 weeks to have them as little babies are burrowing deeper into the uterus.

Totally agree this is the most anxious time!

MamaPeas · 29/09/2019 12:46

That's interesting @Anny27, makes sense but I didn't know that. I've definitely been getting lots of cramping.

Thanks @WhatNext11, fingers crossed this is our little rainbow 🌈 I will be literally jumping for joy if we get to 12 weeks!

Cramps are scary but yes very normal, I had a lot of cramping and some round ligament pain in my first pregnancy and no issues whatsoever.

Whatnext11 · 29/09/2019 19:20

Thanks everyone, today has been busier so that's distracted me this afternoon. Not sure what I would do about MN and you guys!
Have the doctors this week to get a referral to the midwives so that will be good.

Coffeemum1 · 30/09/2019 08:41

6 weeks tomorrow... here comes the sickness 🤢

Anny27 · 30/09/2019 09:50

@coffeemum1 oh no has it started or are you anticipating it?

Coffeemum1 · 30/09/2019 09:59

@anny27 i can feel it coming felt a bit queasy this morning only 5 minutes but It made me remember my last pregnancy 😅 the not being able to brush my teeth without being sick 😂

Sunshine300 · 30/09/2019 10:25

@Coffeemum1 yes the teeth brushing was the absolute worst for me too! Ive been nauseous for a week or so now. My 9 month old often vomits on car journeys so twice this week have had to clean the car seat which has set me off 🤦‍♀️
Waiting for extra blood tests today as my progesterone levels dropped slightly - my IVF clinic monitors pretty closely due to all the meds I'm on. Fingers crossed all ok.

Coffeemum1 · 30/09/2019 10:35

@Sunshine300 good luck with the tests. love that you have a 9 month old 😊 my DD turns one on Thursday. We will be in the 2 under 2 club 😅

Sunshine300 · 30/09/2019 10:40

@Coffeemum1 he will be 10 months this week. Trying not to think about the realities of having an 18 month old and a newborn!

Notnowokay · 30/09/2019 10:41

I saw a good deal on Groupon for an early scan and I couldn't help but buy and book it, for next week Saturday. I would be around 6weeks +6days. It cost £31 and some pennies. They don't recommend any earlier than 6weeks +days.

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 30/09/2019 11:59

Wow there will be some small age gaps on here! So lovely for them to have a sibling close in age ❤️ gets all the nappies over in one go too.

We would have had a just over 2-year gap had I not miscarried earlier this year, but all being well my DD will be 2 years and 7 months when this one arrives. Hoping that will be a good gap too! I have to admit DD is very challenging atm, the terrible twos have well and truly hit 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sunshine300 · 30/09/2019 12:17

@Notnowokay that sounds like a great deal on the early scan! We have one next week too - can't come around quick enough for me!
@MonicaGellerHyphenBing I don't envy you the terrible twos right now.

justanothergurl · 30/09/2019 15:52

Hi ladies, tentatively joining you as I've had positive tests a few days in a row now. Only v early days so EDD is 11th June. I already have a little boy who is almost 3. Feel like I dont have a clue this time round Blush as we only started TTC this month.

MamaPeas · 30/09/2019 16:20

Welcome and congrats @justanothergurl, I'm in a similar boat. I have a 16 month old and we feel 1st month trying which I didn't expect.

LillianFullStop · 30/09/2019 18:27

Sunshine300 · 30/09/2019 18:43

Anny27 · 30/09/2019 19:19

@Coffeemum1 thats what DH thinks - he loves meat and salt and said that i'm craving it because i am growing a mini him 😂

Yeah sweet stuff doesnt appeal at all to me right now! @Sunshine300

Oh i am sure that cravings will come haha @LillianFullStop

Tigger83 · 30/09/2019 19:47

justanothergurl · 30/09/2019 19:51

Thank you everyone Smile

I'm not craving anything, I've actually totally gone off food altogether and keep forgetting to eat. Not like me at all! Trying to enjoy the calm before the morning sickness storm Brew the first time round I was eating english mustard out of the jar Hmm

MamaPeas · 30/09/2019 22:11

I've got off stuff. We had lamb tonight, I couldn't eat it. 🤢
