Bit cheeky as my due date is May 30th, hope no one minds. Blush

The May group seems quite established. I've been slow to come to back to the Mumsnet fold, did not expect to fall first month trying.

Really excited to hear about all your lovely BFP's and share our pregnancy journeys. Smile

Got my BFP today. Expecting my 2nd. DS was a May '18 baby.

@MamaPeas thank you. That will be a nice birthday present for him 😉

MamaPeas · 25/09/2019 20:50

Are you doing anything for DD's birthday @Coffeemum1?

OP posts:
Coffeemum1 · 25/09/2019 21:50

Just a few presents and a trip to soft play probably. My OH is on a work trip overseas and due to fly back 2nd but was booked on Thomas cook flight 😭 so we decided to throw a party for DD 2nd birthday now as he’s stuck there a few more days

MamaPeas · 25/09/2019 22:08

Oh I'm sorry @Coffeemum1, hope he's back soon without too much trouble.

Welcome @Coffeemum1 and congrats - hope DH gets home safely and soon.

@Anny27 I am going to wait until 8 weeks as well. It says 7 weeks is trans abdominal but just in case my dates are wrong I'll wait and extra week.

Tigger83 · 26/09/2019 08:32

God the worry starts already! I don't feel pregnant 'enough' which is ridiculous as I'm feeling queasy and exhausted etc hate this wait until 12 week scan!!

Tigger83 · 26/09/2019 08:33

We will also do a reassurance scan at 8weeks. I wanted to do harmony again but it's shot up in price from when I did it with my son!!

LillianFullStop · 26/09/2019 09:12

I know @Tigger83 - before BFP it's the back and forth between

"I'm not pregnant" and "I'm pregnant!"

.... now in first trimester it's a yo-yo between

"It's all fine and going well" and "something is wrong"

Have you booked your scan? I'm thinking Thu 17th or Mon 21 so DH can come. I assume you can't really bring kids in there.

MamaPeas · 26/09/2019 09:20

I'm trying to resist an early scan @Tigger83 but 100% get the whole not pregnant enough thing.

Can I join please? Got my bfp today, at around 12dpo I think. It's my third baby and fourth pregnancy so hoping all goes well. Already been sick and queasy so better get used to it again! Congrats to you all!

Hi, can I join in tentatively? I got my BFP on Monday following an early miscarriage over the summer. This will be baby number 4 (keeping everything crossed) and is due around 1st June. I've got a 6 year old, 4 year old and a 2 year old. Whilst my previous 3 have been relatively quick to conceive, we've been trying on and off for 18 months so the miscarriage was really upsetting. To then fall pregnant straight away has been incredible but I'm feeling quite anxious. Symptom wise I'm utterly exhausted and feeling so sick all day long...trying to eat little and often in an attempt to keep the nausea at bay!

@redpanda25 congratulations! Glad you are joining us. I've been so glad if these forum recently, got my BFP only a week ago and the forum has stopped me going mad!
@babysittingprincessdrool I can't expand the photo but looks like 3 BFPs to me, lovely news. Sorry to hear about your MC.

I have reached 5 weeks today, glad to have passed a week's milestone. Felt pretty poorly today, just stomach issues, not very glam and feeling nauseous too. Yuck!

Whatnext11 · 26/09/2019 22:09

Anyone got recommendations for heartburn/ acid reflux type symptoms? I remember a friend mentioning gaviscon, but are tablets or the liquid better? Seems to be when I lie down to sleep 🙄

Anny27 · 27/09/2019 07:28

@Whatnext11 glad you have reached 5 weeks :D i am just behimd at 4+5

Not got sny heartburn recomdations sorry but hope you find something that works soon xx

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 08:06

Awww heartburn sucks @Whatnext11, I'm not sure which is best for it. Liquid probably for night time.

I'm 4+6 @Anny27, can't believe I'll be five weeks tomorrow. 😱

OP posts:
Whatnext11 · 27/09/2019 08:52

@mamapeas and @anny27 thank you, think I will buy both and see what works, still got it now! I googled and it says it's worse at trimester 3, let's hope not!

I was really glad to get to 5 weeks, but today at 5+1 it feels just as anxious! Roll on 12 weeks!

Sunshine300 · 27/09/2019 15:29

Hi, can I join too? I'm 4weeks4 days with my second both from ivf. My boy is nearly 10 months.
Definitely gaviscon for heartburn - I chewed the tablets the whole way through my last pregnancy. By the end I could only sleep if I was sitting upright 😖

MamaPeas · 27/09/2019 17:19

Congratulations @Sunshine300, I'm only a couple of days ahead of you. Hope the heartburn isn't as bad this time.

Sunshine300 · 27/09/2019 18:00

Thanks @MamaPeas. Hasn't kicked in yet so fingers crossed!

Whatnext11 · 29/09/2019 05:03

Thanks for all your advice, stocked up on gaviscon only to be fine for the last 2 nights! Ah well I'm prepared now!
@Sunshine300 congratulations!

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 29/09/2019 08:04

Hi everyone, do you mind if I tentatively join? Got my BFP on Friday and I’m absolutely terrified. I had a traumatic miscarriage in June this year at nearly 12 weeks and it almost broke me. I really hope I can stick around here for longer this time but everything feels different. Will need to take every week at a time.

This is my second baby, DD turns 2 next month. EDD around 7 June, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes a bit early like DD did.

Whatnext11 · 29/09/2019 09:06

Morning everyone. This is such a scary time. I've had stomach cramps since the start, like period cramps, and this morning it felt really painful, felt like I was going to lose the baby. No blood or anything, so no cause to worry it says on NHS website but it's so worrying, I'm concerned every day. No symptoms one morning and I worries. Symptoms this morning and I'm worries. Can't wait to get to 12 weeks.
@monica welcome, so sorry about your MC, how awful and sad. Hoping this time is different.
