Bit cheeky as my due date is May 30th, hope no one minds.

The May group seems quite established. I've been slow to come to back to the Mumsnet fold, did not expect to fall first month trying.

Really excited to hear about all your lovely BFP's and share our pregnancy journeys.

Got my BFP today. Expecting my 2nd. DS was a May '18 baby.

Yes I agree with that! I'll keep it open to all MNers, I remember there being plenty who didnt find the last MN antenatal threads until quite late on and theres others who dont join till past their dating scan too.

I am also up for a MN only June FB group, had t got round to joining the other one as seemed too early for me. Have PMd you @TwittleBee thanks!

I also will still hang out on here too though probably.

@MissisBee sounds like we’ll have similar age gaps if you were in a June 17 group last time, my DD was April 17!

Yes very similar @marmitecheesetoast! DS was due June but arrived early May! Due date for this one is 3 years and a day later. I hope I make it to June this time

I’m hoping 3 years is a good age gap, though I know there are challenges at every age!

Just realised I have a similar aged DS to you too as well! He was born start of Jul 17 (originally due at end of Jul). This one is due 2 weeks prior DS1 and 1 week prior DS2 ! Is it weird that I am desperately hoping that this one does arrive on time to keep up with this 1 week rule my children's birthdays seem to have? haha!

Weirdest coincidences of all for us...dating scan was on my birthday, anomaly scan will be on fiancé's!!! 😊

Thanks @TwittleBee! Impressed at how organised you're managing to be! Since getting PG it's been me and the couch as soon as DD has gone to be and I haven't managed much more than that. Hopefully more energy in second trimester - these last few weeks have knocked me out!

I'm so glad another Facebook group is being set up! I was gutted to get the email saying it had been closed, I thought it would have stayed open until everyone's dating scan, as I'm due 5/06 I assumed I had time!

it's sad to see this thread seems to be divided as although I don't post much, I do try to have a read through every so often!

@Twittlebee I’ve pm’d you for the Facebook group. 8 weeks yesterday (twins!) and the past two nights I’ve had cramping with red and brown spotting, I know cramping at this stage can be down to ligaments stretching, but the blood has me slightly worried. Hopefully it doesn’t get heavier! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Is the fb group private? As in will any of my friends lists be able to see I've joined? Just weary as we haven't announced yet! Would love to join.

I'm 12+5, had dating scan last Monday and all well. Bought some baby mitts and a little rattle for baby but my mum says it's too early? Anybody else bought anything? I feel so silly now

@RainMinusBow, your dm is probably concerned about a loss and the impact it has on some people returning back home to baby stuff after a loss.

It is a personal choice, especially since you are more likely but not guaranteed a baby to take home. It is complicated, but it is up to you how you want to treat this pregnancy (if your body/mind lets you).

Say thank you for the advice and then do what you want.

@Rinoa - yes the FB group is private, it is so private that you cant find it unless I invite you to it via your email.

@Legendsonly - have you had an early scan or booked in for one? You could always get one arranged with your MW / GP if you tell them about the bleeding. Is common to have a bit of blood here and there though they told me.

@RainMinusBow - she is only worried in case something happens. But you might like to keep them in a memory box if something were to happen anyway, I guess she is just trying to protect you.

Oh and I got my results back regarding the sex! We are having a boy!

@RainMinusBow I understand that! My dm is very direct and has no problem telling me what was best in her day lol but yea I'd definitely say it's personal choice.

Hi everyone. Like most of you I have been waiting to join a fb group until I know everything is okay. I’ve had so many miscarriages and would find it heartbreaking to have to leave. I had an 8 week scan and everything is on track so I feel like it is a good time to join one. I’m due end of June. Am I too late to join the June one? If not how do it do it? Thanks 😊

I'm currently home from work with a horrendous head cold and painful sinuses! Anyone got any magical pregnant friendly remedies? I had to give in and take paracetamol but want to keep it to a minimum!! 😩

@BabyBird20 have you tried sticking your head over a bowl of steaming water with towel over your head to trap in the steam? Or using salt water syringed up your nose? I never do the latter, sounds grim, but DH always does that when he has a sinus infection and it appears to help him. I also just love hot lemon water as a way to feel comforted when ill. Get well soon

@TwittleBee congratulations! You're making me wish I got the sneak peak test now! I've got a gender scan booked 22/12, seems so far away though!

@RainMinusBow don't feel bad about buying stuff, it's such a personal choice of when you feel ready, I think as well as what others have said, sometimes people see it as you've got ages to buy stuff so no rush but the first trimester feels so long it already seems like you've waited ages and it is exciting buying stuff to make it feel more feel!

@Legendsonly really hope you can get a scan to get everything checked, it's very common in early pregnancy to have spotting, I have in all my pregnancies but always good for peace of mind to get it checked, fingers crossed all is ok!

Aw thanks for the advice everyone. I know mum is only trying to protect me but as a severe anxiety sufferer a lot of things are a "trigger" if that makes any sense?

I thought after the 12 week scan I'd feel better but I can't stop worrying about different things. I worry about my BP (it's raised), I worry about the blood tests I've just had for downs/Patau/Edwards. If it's not one thing it's another. My insomnia is terrible! 😣

@TwittleBee thanks, I'll give that a go! Got some lemons and honey to make a hot drink, just feel so awful but so guilty about taking paracetamol!!

Just wanted to say a quick hello to everyone. I've been lurking on here since I found out I was pregnant and now 9+2.
I've had a scan as they went on my LMP which I knew would be way out but seeing a little heart beat at 8 weeks was reassuring!

It is my first pregnancy so trying to take in as much info as possible. Will wait until my 12 week scan but would love to join the fb group then please.
