Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

@Motherofpuppies I also have two sausage dogs! What a weird coincidence (although you can't just have one sausage ) How did they cope with your first baby joining the family? I have no idea how mine will take it.

Ahh @firsttimemum55 cavapoo puppies sooooo cute! Hard work when they're tiny though. I'd recommend waiting until baby is about 18 months old, then go for it! My DD is 16 months now and she's only just started being nice to the dogs and learning to stroke rather than pull hair, tails and ears ha. My older pup had the world's sharpest puppy teeth too, so wouldn't fancy him teething on baby. But once they fall out, and they're old enough to know they can't play with baby like that, they make the most wonderful pals

Ahhh @TummyTurtle what kind of sausages do you have? Mine are one long hair, and one short haired rescue, called Alan and Pete respectively :-p
Both have been amazing with DD, especially Pete which was surprising as he's the younger, more anxious and more hyper one. Alan is generally good, but won't put up with being pulled or climbed, which is understandable I think! He's also a big licker, which was annoying when DD was tiny. Nowadays we just let them get on with it and work it out themselves haha.

@Motherofpuppies we have a 2yr old smooth who is totally mad called Maple who we've had since a pup, and a 4yr old long called Cilla who we got in June, she is an ex-breeding dog who had one litter but wasn't very maternal. She is also a licker! It's good to hear they are fine with your DD, Maple won't like losing her top dog status!

I booked my 6 weeks reassurance scan at the EPU for Friday 13th Sept 😍 2 weeks to go 🙈

I went to the drs and she essentially said less is best, but couldn't comment on my particular supplements. So I'll give them a miss for now.

I have been referred to the EPU after my dr examined me regarding the painful cramping I've been having. They were very good and they want me in for an early scan to check it's not eptopic.

I'm not stressing about it too much, I have to wait another week before I can be scanned.

Also, anyone with a BMI over 30, you may need extra FA so best check in with your go.

About supplements I think you just need the folic acid and vitamin d. I don’t think anything else has much of an evidence base. Plus when the nausea kicks in minimising the number and size of the tablets is a priority!! (not envy!)

Hey ladies , can I join you ? Just did a test about 2 hours ago, BFP , cant believe it, says 1-2 weeks pregnant on the digital clear blue so due date going by calculator is saying 4th of May!

I hope you don't mind me saying, I'm terribly jealous of everyone who doesn't have symptoms yet. I only took a PT because the nausea, bloating and insomnia has been almost unbearable. Any tips for coping with morning sickness would be hugely appreciated!
