Hi everyone! I can't find a May 2020 group yet. Most of you don't even know you're expecting yet. I'm due May 1st and got my bfp on 9 dpo. So I'm only 3 weeks 3 days. I feel like I may be lonely in here for a little while.
Looking forward to being joined by other mummies to be :)
This is my 3rd pregnancy. 1st was 7 years ago and I have a 7 year old son. 2nd was 5 years ago which ended in a m/c feeling positive for my rainbow.

Hi girls can I join too please?

Got my BFP last Tuesday. Think I'm due May 4th. But had no period since I stopped the pill in June... definitely wasn't pregnant the week before my BFP as had a BFN then... so trying to work off when we dtd lol.

Anyway this will be my 4th child but 6th pregnancy. I'm nothing but nervous about this as I'm older now too.

Feeling a little nausea and totally gone off certain foods and smells 🤢I'm also exhausted 24/7 but can't sleep properly! (Maybe that's the heat at the moment too!)

I keep thinking about going for an early scan at around 6/7 weeks but not 100% sure I should?

Sorry I'm just rambling on. Obviously DP knows but none of my friends or family do. He's told 2 of his mates but I want to keep it to just us for a little bit just in case. So I've no one to talk to about everything apart from you lot 😂

Congratulations to everyone with BFP and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all 😀

firsttimemum55 · 27/08/2019 18:22

Hello everyone!! Joining if I may
Got my BFP this weekend and I'm 3+3 with my first child.

I'm still completely shocked and in baby euphoria and spent all of yesterday of mothercare website picking out stuff 😂😂

No symptoms as yet beside tender boobs and Af is actually due today. I can't seem to stop poas and have done at least 2 internet cheapie a day. Will stop soon 🙈

Hope you're all well!

Has everyone booked appointments with midwife?

BlueberryPoppy123 · 27/08/2019 18:33

@lucyrgilbert I wouldn't like to join FB group incase it showed that I was a member. Then people would know. Sometimes they're better to have different names like May Flowers or something...

@moonstone12 I'm seriously struggling with not sleeping. Max 5 hours for me in the last 2 week's according to my fitbit.

I'll change it to may flowers xx

Hi everyone, got a BFP this morning and EDD is May 8th! So nice to see lots of early May babies here already, wishing all of you all the best with your pregnancies 🤞

Adding a pic of the pregnancy test as I can't share with people in real life yet haha

mintbear · 27/08/2019 18:54

@firsttimemum55
This is also my first pregnancy!
I'm 32yo and I think I'm 4wks today and I've eat my dd as 5 May.

I phoned my drs today and they gave me the number for the midwife. I've phoned and left a message so hopefully I'll get a date for my first appointment soon!

I've been really struggling with cramps, they seem more severe than the 'mild period pains' I've been reading about.

I told the dr and she wanted to see me, I had a check up and she's referred me to the early pregnancy team. So we will see what happens.

Pindlesandneedles · 27/08/2019 19:03

Hello everyone can I join? I got my BFP today, a bit of a surprise but I’m very excited!! DD the 5th! DH in complete panic mode but hopefully he’ll settle down soon. This will be my 3rd DC, can’t quite imagine what life will be like but I’m sure it will be fun!!

sofiathe2nd · 27/08/2019 19:22

@mintbear really hope it all turns out to be ok x

I’ve got terrible pain at the moment too, can’t remember it being like this last time?

FirstTimeMama91 · 27/08/2019 19:23

Congratulations @firsttimemum55 @Lu1u @Pindlesandneedles 😍😍

AmIseeingRight · 27/08/2019 20:51

Welcome everyone and big congratulations.

Would anyone like a stats list so we know everyones dd? I can start Smile

AmIseeingRight Baby #2 due 3 May 2019

Newlyexpectingmam · 27/08/2019 21:08

Confirmed on two tests on Sunday that myself and new husband are expecting our first. Only recently come off the pill so not too sure of what normal cycle length is. Expected due date range is 28/4 to 2/5 so far. Rang drs this morning and they’ve booked me straight in for midwife on 20th sept without seeing doc first. Is this usual? Very nervous and excited at same time but don’t want to let myself get carried away.

mintbear · 28/08/2019 07:22

What supplements are you taking?
I have been adding in an omega 3 tablet, but I've read conflicting advice.

Cod liver oil is a no no apparently and so is vitamin A which is sometimes added.

Does anyone know anything about this? now I'm wondering if I should stop..

FirstTimeMama91 · 28/08/2019 07:40

Roll call
@AmIseeingRight Baby #2 due 3 May 2019

I emailed Local Doctor, who here is coincidentally also head of Obstetrics and gynaecology (handy). He said heartbeat can be detected from 6 weeks, so to call anytime to make an appointment for then onwards.

lovepositivity · 28/08/2019 08:24

I'm hopping on this group

Just had my BFP. Currently 4 week with EDD 6/5/20. I'm nervous as my first pregnancy ended in MMC at 6+3 in February this year so hoping for a successful pregnancy this time!

Good luck to everyone- looking forward to having support along the way xx

@Woolylamb Thank you!

How is everyone feeling today? Any new symptoms?

ellarosee · 28/08/2019 10:07

Hi everyone,

I hope it's ok for me to join. I think I'm due around 24th April but thought my dates could change to early May so I'll stay in both for now until I know for certain.

I'm 5+5 today and still not experiencing any symptoms apart from bloating which is unsettling me slightly 😕 is anyone else experiencing similar?

AmIseeingRight · 28/08/2019 10:10

Congratulations and welcome @lovepositivity and @Newlyexpectingmam

@mintbear I just take the pregnacare and also on added iron. Check with your GP/pharmacy or call midwife service but NHS website say to avoid Vitamin A and Liver whilst pregnant.

Woolylamb · 28/08/2019 11:09

Congratulations to everyone with new BFPs!

I called the gp surgery this morning and apparently I just have to go in and fill in a form for the midwives, I don’t need to actually have an appointment first. I had to ask about referral to the specialist clinic because of a preexisting medical condition and they’re going to check with one of the docs about it. It’s definitely feeling more real now.

Not feeling too much symptom wise yet, occasional fleeting nausea but I don’t know if that’s just me expecting to feel sick because it was so bad last time.

Roll call is a great idea - I’ll add mine Smile

Hi everyone!

Excited to be here. I was in the May 2018 Mumsnet group, which turned into the most amazing and supportive Facebook group which is still really active. Made some great internet friends so hoping you lovely ladies might be up for doing the same!

Second baby here, but feeling very apprehensive as my last pregnancy was horrendous. Good news was my baby is an absolute delight, and was always healthy, but I suffered non stop with severe versions of every symptom in the book.

If anyone else ends up struggling, give me a shout! I have a full arsenal survival kit at the ready for most ailments ;-)

Also to explain the username, I have two sausage dogs who were my first fur children before the human one turned up lol

Morning everyone. Glad to see you're all doing well!

I'll add myself to roll call:

firsttimemum55 · 28/08/2019 11:27

@Motherofpuppies I really want to get a fur baby!! Though I'm not sure if I can handle a fur baby and human one at the same time. I'd be first time for both but I've been eyeing up gorgeous cavapoos for ages. Just not at home enough at the moment to make the leap
