And @Puglover88 yes it could be that baby has moved, but I'd ring if movements have reduced. Weird about your NCT course too! How many more sessions do you have left?

OP posts:
IVEgottheDECAF · 11/08/2019 18:26

Baby has spent large parts of today rubbing his head again my pubic bone. This makes me feel sick!

Puglover88 · 11/08/2019 19:08

The movements aren’t reduced as such, they just feel different. It feels like her head is now at the side of my belly! Because I’m still feeling her move frequently, I don’t feel like I need to rush in but I’ll probably ring in morning rather then wait until Tuesday.

We’ve got 2 more NCT sessions left, a 3 hour breastfeeding session and then another whole day next Sunday.

@IVEgottheDECAF that sounds uncomfortable!

IVEgottheDECAF · 11/08/2019 19:22

It feels horrible pug!

It does sound like baby has got into a funny position for you!

happydays00 · 11/08/2019 20:35

@Littlehouseinthebigcity I keep losing my plug throughout this pregnancy and it just just keep re-growing. I also have been having contractions for about 4-6 weeks now I think (but I've been told that's due to my excess amniotic fluid irritating my uterus). If you're at all concerned I would phone your MW.

@Puglover88 it does sound like baby has got into an awkward position but they do say that if you are concerned about any movements: change of, increase or decrease to call so maybe it might help for peace of mind. The NCT course sounds like a nightmare, hopefully the next few are better organised and less flustered for all!

@boodles101 your friends sound absolutely lovely!! How thoughtful of them. Quite jealous of the beer garden weather too - it's been raining on and off all day here - we haven't even ventured outside!

@Stroan did you have a lovely last weekend as a family of 3? If I remember correctly you had some nice things planned!

We have finally moved my daughter out of her room and all of her clothes (cue some massive tantrums about "her bed" (the toddler bed that has been turned back into the cot!) Tomorrow and Tuesdays job is to move all the baby things into the room and hopefully Wednesday can be a day of rest before the section on Thursday 😬😬 I cannot believe it's happening this week!!! I AM NOT READY!

sarahelizabeth99 · 11/08/2019 20:42

Hi ladies!

Just found this thread. I’m 35+1. How have you all been getting on?

EllebellyBeeblebrox · 11/08/2019 20:59

Evening all, im a latecomer to the thread if it's okay to tag along? Due 20th sept so 34+2 today. This one was a unplanned accident bonus baby as we have a 6 year old and a just turned 10 year old! Had miserable spd this time and struggling with tiredness and being short of breath, might just be cos I'm older though or I've been chasing the other two around. Hope you're all keeping well!!

kyles101 · 11/08/2019 21:23

Hello newbies 👋 welcome, the more he merrier. Sorry to hear you've not had a great time @EllebellyBeeblebrox its not a horrendous gap you have there - there's 20 years between my oldest and youngest brothers!! How have you found things @sarahelizabeth99 do you have any already?

Survived the wedding and christening weekend, slacked off a little early from the christening, we left at about 5pm, I just desperately needed a nap and my back had about had it. Looking forward to a week of getting back on top of the house, whoever said earlier that their dh was complaining- send them to mine and they'd have a point!!

sarahelizabeth99 · 11/08/2019 21:36

hi!
No this is my first and a total surprise as well as we weren’t trying Grin but we’re very excited to have a wee baby - probably very naive as I’m just excited for his wee cute feet and fingers but I know it’s not as easy as that haha!
Pregnancy has been ok but starting to get a bit more sore now, sore lower back and my boobs are driving me mad! Do you have other children @kyles101

IVEgottheDECAF · 11/08/2019 21:38

New experience of the day ....... fanny daggers while sitting in the bath......nice

BBell2 · 11/08/2019 23:03

@happydays00 I hope your DDs move goes well! Did she go into a proper big girls bed? Ours were sharing till this weekend when OH decides it's a terrible idea (sure I said this 5 months ago) and we can convert the spare room/ where I have slept every night of this pregnancy/my office and DD will move in in 6months time...only he told her and she is so confused now! Cue IKEA order of new bed, wardrobes and apparently he is painting tommorrow. So I'm definately going OUT!

challengeyourreality · 11/08/2019 23:11

Never thought to have DH pack a bag but thinking about it, it probably is handy to have him some things prepared. Tomorrow I am planning to put my waterproof sheet on top of my mattress and pack hospital bags for myself and baby as I've been having some contractions tonight, gentle-ish, but enough for me to get realistic about her being able to come any time. It also means that i need to get 2 cupboards cleared out, co-sleeper set up and baby clothes washed, also just in case. Also got a man coming to fix our tv and help hang it on the wall so I can get rid of the awful tv unit that DH insists on using.
Finally got a pram today! It was so nice and clean and looked very good so decided to go for it. They sold us the runner chassis with it too so I think I will sell that separately and get a decent sling with the money I get back.
Was at SIL party afterwards and DH entire immediate family were on hysterics at how enormous my stomach is Hmm I'm sure they would not find the same jokes funny were the shoe on the other foot.

challengeyourreality · 11/08/2019 23:14

@BBell2 he is nesting! Would love my DH to offer to paint kids bedrooms, lord knows they need it! May suggest it but have about 2% chance of it actually happening. He is extremely helpful but is hard to motivate unless he thinks of something himself

ColdCottage · 11/08/2019 23:32

@Puglover88 if it's baked you can have it now

Moraxella · 11/08/2019 23:46

@challengeyourreality ooh what pram did you get?

I need to pack my bag - I was writhing around in pain last night and realised I couldn't have faced packing and don't really have it ready to grab and go (thought I was going into labour, not sure what it was but is a useful demonstration of the low bar of my pain threshold). My boyf was home for the weekend but has now left again :-( hope he makes it back for D-day.

DustyDoorframes · 11/08/2019 23:50

Are you back in Blighty now @Moraxella ? I've been thinking of your cross-Atlantic antenatal care!

Moraxella · 12/08/2019 00:00

yes! just back - they didn't even clock I was pregnant on the plane, so I got alcohol and no request for a letter at any point! It is such a relief to be back in NHS land. Even though (very well) insured, it's not as simple as rocking up to your local hospital! Plus I'm waiting for a visa and the thought of sorting all that out for mini-mox should he have arrived early and abroad...aaahh!

Karigan195 · 12/08/2019 00:32

Between the acid reflux and being kicked every two seconds I’ve just given up on trying to sleep and watching outlander instead #knackered and can’t sleep!

Stroan · 12/08/2019 05:36

@happydays00 we did, thank you. DD felt so grown up to have afternoon tea with me and we had some lovely one on one time. How did the transition to the new room go? I don't know how old your DD is, but I found that letting mine "help" with some of the decor choices for her room made her feel a bit more involved. I.e I let her pic a couple of pics for the wall....

@karigan195 oh, Sam Heughan! Almost worth the reflux. Outlander is filmed very close to me, but I've never managed to finish the second series. Maybe on mat leave.

I'm definitely nesting. Polished my towel rails with a toothbrush yesterday. Why is this happening when I have one more day of freedom and not three weeks ago when I finished work?!

@Moraxella has your BF gone back to the US? How long do you have left?

Florencenotflo · 12/08/2019 06:44

@Karigan195 I had a shit nights sleep here too. DH was out on a shout and didn't get back till 11:30 which woke me up (I'd been in bed an hour). He had a shower and went to watch match of the day. But I couldn't get back to sleep. He came up at 1:30 and I was still awake, Dd has just woken me up at 6am! And between 1:30 and 06:00 I had to get up once for a wee and twice for a rennie 😂

Oh the joys! And we've got quite a full on day out today as DH is off! Making the most of being a 3!

OP posts:
EllebellyBeeblebrox · 12/08/2019 06:55

Very bleary eyed here this morning, we're away in Northumberland for the week so rain kept me awake, then the obligatory 1am and 4am toilet trips, then some bed shuffling with the kids. Yawn! Hope you're all okay

happydays00 · 12/08/2019 06:57

@BBell2 and @Stroan my DD is 2.5, she's moved into a big bed and is still sleeping now so I'm pleased about that, even if we have more tantrums today about her old cot. I did mention yesterday too that maybe the baby will be getting her a present to say thank you for sharing her old bed with him. I have no idea if this was the right or wrong thing to say but hey ho.

@Moraxella - this sounds incredibly stressful for you. When is your BF back?! Do you have other family/friends over here?

@Karigan195 what a bloody long night for you and @Florencenotflo - I do think the last few days/weeks before giving birth are particularly cruel as you are just so knackered when it comes to the non-sleeping newborn arriving!

I've got knees and bum and god knows what else under my rib cage. So uncomfortable!!!

@IVEgottheDECAF how is the lightening crotch going?! Really sounds like your baby is literally burrowing to get out now 😬

happydays00 · 12/08/2019 06:57

Oh and waves to newbies too. Welcome!! 👋

Megan2018 · 12/08/2019 07:17

No sleep here either, was wide awake from 2-5am, gave in a watched TV.
It is my last week at work though GrinGrinGrin just the bloody A level results to get through first Hmm

Exitstrategist · 12/08/2019 07:25

Heartburn and weeing all night! Then woken at 6 by the toddler who started his day! 34+1. Only a month approx til c section!
