Hey all... over here!!

Neuro · 13/08/2007 15:43

yes but why is it hanging down like that?! I'M SCARED. i don't want one like that

mixedmama · 13/08/2007 15:50

Neuro - I think it is the weight and she had a 12 lb 8 oz baby last time and this one is set to be at least 11 lb.

OP posts:
mixedmama · 13/08/2007 15:51

Also, she is due soon so i think the bump drops slightly - or that may be the uterus and have no impact on the bump.

OP posts:
Neuro · 13/08/2007 16:23

12 lbs? Sheesh.

I guess they'd have to cut something that big out?

mixedmama · 13/08/2007 16:27

Apparently not... I think she said that it was vaginal delivery and this time she is booked for CS if she gets to 38+4 otherwise will give birth naturally.

Neuro · 13/08/2007 16:32

Goodness me! Well suddenly knocking out a 9lb-er suddenly doesn't sound too bad.

MIXEDMAMA i am now dreaming of cornettos and have to go into a boring two hour meeting and not sure who i'll be able to concentrate.

Housemum · 13/08/2007 20:11

Have just skim-read last day's posts but am crossing my legs at that picture!!!!!

Scan today - all healthy!!! Probably another girl - yippee!! (she couldn't be sure, but she couldn't see any "boy bits".

Great telling you as we aren't telling anyone in real life, but I shall be surreptitiously washing some of my newborn size pink bits when the girls are back at school!

Bouncingturtle · 13/08/2007 20:56

That bump was impressive!!

Curlygirly · 13/08/2007 21:20

Happy Birthday mixedmama. Hope you've had a good day.

MotherofZ · 14/08/2007 08:30

Morning everyone.

congrats again MotherofZ.

Had a great birthday.... DH bought me a designer overnight bag, so pleased (altho not a designer I like, in fact really dislike - not looking a gift horse in the mouth though) it is going to be perfect for my going to hospital and any spontaneous weekends away (yeah right with two children in tow). So nice as he doesnt normally think of these things and he even got a card, which is a result in itself and made me cry. Love him. He even gave DS the pen and wrote his bit with him. So sweet.

Anyway hello everyone - hope everyone is good. Long day ahead of me as i am hear till 7 so lots of of convo please.

OP posts:
Beanstermummy · 14/08/2007 10:17

MotherofZ - congrats on good scan - we didn't find out the flavour - keep wondering if we should have when I hear MNers saying they have but will be a good suprise at the end heh?

Mixedmama - sounds like DH did good this time - must admit mine is usually ok - looking at eternity rings now - keep warning him he's got less than 2 yrs to save up for our 10th anniversary - but Beaverbrooks have 0% 3 yrs deal on at the mo so you never know - would be a VVV jolly Christmas prezzie!! As for weekends away - I'm sure you'll still get them - jsut slightly different than the relaxing ones pre small people - and you can always have the really occassional ones where parents/friends/relatives etc have the kiddies ??

Me too for long day - loads to do but no inclination..........same old same old.

Hope everyone has a good day though

mixedmama · 14/08/2007 10:21

Ohhh. Beanster I have been dropping the eternity ring hint for a while, am hoping it comes up at Xmas.... he doesnt even know what one is though he was like "whats a maternity ring" I think he thought it was some sort of rubber ring that you put around your waist when pregnant...

OP posts:
MotherofZ · 14/08/2007 10:27

lol at maternity ring. ooohh maybe you need to be a bit more obvious and leave magazines lying around with flourescent POST-IT notes.

mixedmama · 14/08/2007 10:30

I am going to keep mentioning it, now that I have explained. I am sure it will come up at some point when i least ex[ect it.

OP posts:
Lizzer · 14/08/2007 10:52

Buzzy, that's awful about your letter about amino, glad your mw is on your side.Enjoy your hols too

Mixedmama, LOL at maternity ring, has anything happened with the temp who stole from your colleague? (and happy b'day for yesterday btw)

Congrats on your scans motherofz, dkay, housemum, glad all is well (sorry if i've missed anyone)

So I have a confession then, you know that Chinese gender prediction chart I was endlessly banging on about in an earlier thread? Well......It was absolute crap, said I'd be having a girl, I truly was convinced for ages, so just to warn you all who haven't found out - don't believe the lies!!!

...And thanks for all the bad holiday sympathy vibes Have a lovely day everyone

macdoodle · 14/08/2007 10:54

Well I forced H into buying me an eternity ring when we went to South Africa before DD was born - I adore it it is a beautiful ring - though now he has cheated and lied his way into a seperation I really don't feel comfortable wearing it (we didn't quite make an eternity just the 7 year itch )....not that bothered by not wearing my wedding/engagement ring but I adore my eternity ring will have to save it for my DD

mixedmama · 14/08/2007 11:12

Macdoodle - sorry about that, but it would be lovely to save it for DD.

Lizzer - she got a formal warning, as the manager said it wasnt black and white, as the other girl wasnt actually here working and had been told to cllear out the drawers and the drawers were the temps whilst she was away. She is certaianly more embarrassed now, and i think that was the problem we all had was that she just thought it was ok.

skidaddle · 14/08/2007 11:35

mixedmama - at the maternity ring - I love all your Dh stories - he sounds hilarious

motherofz - congrats on the scan and very good of you to agree not to find out for your dh. it will be lovely to have a surprise

my dp would rather die than get me something like an eternity ring - he would be much more inclined to get me something practical and useful like a gortex jacket so I don't get wet on my bike ... do quite like my gortex jacket though...

mixedmama · 14/08/2007 11:45

Skidaddle - he was very funny yesterday. He wrote my card from DS and her wrote

Dear Mummy,

I love you

We didnt have much money so had to go halves on the card with Daddy.

Had me in stitches.

OP posts:
Beanstermummy · 14/08/2007 11:45

Skidaddle - know what you mean with the practical prezzies - I got a cross trainer 2 years ago for valentines day to get fit for skiing hols following DD - sort of aprrecaited it....but......

I'm just playing on the fact he got a mountain bike when we got engaged and has recently got a new one (admittedly throught he bike to work scheme but still cost pennies) - so I reckon I'm due another ring too - my logic and therefore correct

Just sorted out for a 'business lunch' - excuse to go ut for lunch really - Wagamama noodle bar - yummy yummy yum and on my expenses so tastes even better - he he....

mixedmama · 14/08/2007 11:47

I wish I had expenses. i am not really a sandwich person and actually go for cooked lunch almost every day costs a fortune altho we do have a chef at work.

DH bought me a cheese grater once... one of those JML contraptions - not for a bday or anaything but he did call it a gift... still in the box.

MotherofZ · 14/08/2007 11:59

I have a slight addiction to Gregg's for lunch.
yum yum Gin

mixedmama · 14/08/2007 12:37

Mmm... I love their cheese ploughmans sandwiches but the nearest one is quite a walk away.
