BT, My MW gave me my MATB1 today so that dh can take it for his paternity leave.
If you call your MW she might drop it off for you when shes on visits or you'll be able to go and pick it up at your surgery reception.

Our sonogropher told us that sometimes people go overseas to have abortions when they find out at the 20 week scan that it was not the sex they wanted... which is one of the reasons she was against telling people. We didn't want to know anyway but it would be very frustrating if you did!

Claraq - that is horrifying to think that anyone can do such a thing, but sadly it does happen
NBG - will ring MW on Monday, then visit the drop in clinic on Friday after I've been to see my GP - getting a rash investigated.

On the plus note, DH felt the baby kick for the first time yesterday , it was being very active after I had gone to bed so I asked him up to have a feel and he felt it move!!! Fabulous feeling, makes it seem so real!

hello all!

right i'll apologise ina dvance for the waffle, but i havent been on for over a week and have lots to catch up on!

last thursday (2nd) we had our scan and discovered we are expecting our third boy! we are over the moon, i really did think this time it was a girl, but our preference was a boy.. i think i'd panic if someone handed me something pink and frilly!! family members are dissappointed tot he say the least.. i was the last girl on our side and that was 25 years ago! but everyone is mainly glad all seems well regardless of extra dangly bits etc!

it was my birthday tuesday just gone too and i was givent he most beautiful necklace by my dp, i was really touched... especially as the rest of my family saw fit to buy things for the baby or my labour bag... i know i sound ungrateful but it was my birthday lol

on monday our little phoenix (19 months) spent his first night in a big boys bed! (we felt it would be cruel to move him once baby is here as he may feel rejected) he slept lovely and has done since... i am so proud and boy is it a good job i am pregnant because if i wasnt already i wouold be as broody as hell now my 'baby' is in a big boys bed..!

we have decided that as we have been extremely lucky with 3 boys (sounds odd saying 3!) we are going to call it a day baby wise... the plan had always been 4, but 3 boys is a blessing and if we continued and had a girl imagine how spoilt she owuld be with 3 big brothers???

although dp is adamant that as soon as they are all at school i will come out with teh famous 'baaaaabbbee??' lol

wow kerioke, 3 boys! That could be me too. I have 2 ds's but haven't found out what number 3 is. I don't mind either way but am sick of everyone assuming I am desperate for a girl.

I had a beautiful bracelet and some other bits from dh and the boys. Originaly I think he was going to get me a sat nav but I did hint I would divorce him if thought that would be a good present!

Back from Germany from the MINI-BREAK FROM HELL!

Our flight was cancelled on tues morn due to manchester flooding,so had to go tues night but had car in car park and paid for so had to go into Manchester for the day (actually quite good cos bought my FIRST MATERNITY JEANS, £30 from h&m, v flattering indeed)

Then when we arrived 12 hours later than we should our suitcase didn't.....finally turned up 2 days later (out of 3 we were there- I slept in my mum's nightie - weird)

In a bizarre accident the swing that dd was on at the park snapped (yes a metal chain link!) and she fell and winded herself for the first time, she was so upset and kept saying 'take me to hospital, i can't breathe!' it was such a shock! (She's fine though, luckily the chain didn't bruise her as it fell on her chest)

The weather ranged from drizzle to full on thunder storms and flash floods. We took off yesterday in bad cloud turbulence and actually thought my stomach was going to come out of my mouth!

Apart from all that it was lovely to see my family and we managed a bbq in the drizzle and ironically my 'break' from the catering biz involved producing a buffet for 20 hungry people LOL!!

We did have such a laugh though but we will miss dd as she's staying with my parents for another 9 days Sorry just had to get all that out as it was quite a catalogue of events - worryingly the place my parents have rented out there is called 'Hexenhauschen' - yep, 'the witch's house' AARRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

I'm not doing anything today, or for the rest of the wkend to recover from the stress, poor baby will have a lot of extra stress hormones flying around his system but seems happily kicking away in there.

Kerioke,that's lovely, really pleased for you. I know a man who's one of 6 boys and everyone thinks his mum was trying for a girl but aparently not the case. I know what you mean about getiing 'baby' presents instead of 'mememe' presents - I got quite annoyed when there was talk at work of getting me baby shop vouchers at work, luckily I ended up with debenhams' ones which covers a multitude of stuff..It is a bit selfish but if there ever was a time to be selfish now is it!!

Neuro, out of the 4 scans I've had so far, only one of the sonographers was pleasant, the others appeared to be butchering me, good old NHS.

Had a really shitty time at work this week, cannot wait to finish, only 12 weeks to go. I was so upset/angry yesterday I was tempted to get signed off until babys born, but unfortunately my hubby works there too and i don't want to make things awkward for him. start of nov isn't too long to put up with it, and if they think i'm coming back afterwards, well they have a big shock in store.

nothing planned, DB and SIL are coming over for a takeaway in the evening, but not expecting presents or anything exciting.

Ill be 25 so quater of a century - weird!

Ive got the best birthday present ever anyway - a baby BOY!

I vaguely remember being 25, it was a very long time ago! I'm well into my 30's but told ds1 today that I am 21!

yay, going home in 8 minutes. Longest morning ever!

went on a tour today (maternity wards at MAYDAY croydon)
well wasnt that bad....saw a few new borns and met some mums...everyone looked relaxed...but of course they had had their babies....heard one heart wrenching scream from some delivery room!!!!scary

Just had my 20 wk scan. All is good thank God! Didn't ask what the gender was as dh didn't want to but I'm dying to know. Didn't see anything obvious when they were measuring the femur. Does anyone know if I would have done if it was a boy?
