Somewhere in the depths of my foggy brain I seem to recall that Magnesium is given to stop cramping. Foods rich in Magnesium are whole grains, legumes and nuts.
Definitely a calcium imbalance, as well as a sodium/potassium imbalance can play Old Hob with muscle contractions.
Ditto dehydration.
Umm. Thats all I can think of now anyway.
Was checked out by the GP on Monday as I went from 'fine' on Friday morning to 'elephant legs' on Friday night, and had rotten headaches over the weekend. Nothing doing. BP 127/63, no protein, and I've been told to either walk or lie down as much as possible - tricky when you're working in hotel/pub/kitchen and there's a lot of standing/sitting.
Sympathies to anyone else with puffy feet/ankles - I've had to go out and buy shoes a size bigger than usual.
