Hey all... over here!!

Oooh star signs, hadn't thought of that yet!! I guess we will all have Sag or Cap depending on who goes early or late... here is some (obviously very scientific ) info I found...

Your Sagittarius Baby..
23 November - 21 December
Young Sagittarians are happy and playful. They can be impulsive and will be the kind of child who says 'hello' to everyone, and will be despondent if others don't respond. Your child will be active and adventurous, rarely sitting still, but as a result may pick up more bumps and bruises than other children.

A Sagittarian child enjoys company, but when left alone will be content hugging a teddy or blanket. Sagittarians are totally honest and expect to be treated openly and honestly in return. You may find that your child asks endless questions.

Most Sagittarians enjoy learning but will take a dislike to any rules that they see as pointless. They are sociable characters who should be allowed to take any opportunity to socialise. Parents should not pressure a Sagittarian child or be possessive over her. A young Sagittarian child may hide her hurts and disappointments and should, therefore be encouraged to show feelings.

Sagittarians are generous and parents will have to give guidance about money. These children are restless and freedom loving, but they may need to be taught that there are some social rules that must be obeyed for their own good.

Caz10 · 07/08/2007 12:05

Capricorn, The Sign Of The Goat..
23 December - 19 January

Capricorn babies thrive on routine and order, which gives them the sense of security they need.. They are usually even-tempered and self-contained. Capricorns can be strong-willed and will get what they want by slowly wearing down parental resistance. Young Capricorns tend to prefer older company and they enjoy pretending to be grown-up. Your child will probably prefer to have just one or two close friends rather than being a part of a large group. Capricorns usually love to read and to make things.

Capricorn babies can be prone to illness, although this improves with age.

Your child will need to be encouraged to spend time outside in the fresh air, since Capricorns are not usually very enthusiastic about sport or the outdoors. Sometimes they are very serious children who need to be encouraged to relax and play. Capricorns have a good sense of humour but cannot bear to be teased.

A Capricorn child will do well in a secure environment with regular routine and reliable, appreciative parents. Young Capricorns can also lose self-confidence easily despite their maturity. They should be taught how to express their very sensitive inner emotions and how to relax, because Capricorns are natural worriers.

Caz10 · 07/08/2007 12:07

baby-wise I think a Sag sounds like less hard work! But I am due 12th and imagining I'll go over with 1st baby so might be cutting it fine!!

Oh YES to Anne of GG getting crap towards the end! I persevered with Rilla of Ingleside etc but it just wasn't the same. Think I liked it best when she was off teaching etc but then eventually got back with Gilbert when he was ill....swoon again!

MotherofZ · 07/08/2007 12:13

suey2 - yes completely agree with you about the ending of Harry Potter- I think Rowling defo wanted closure on that.

Talking about books you read when you were younger, was anyone into Virgina Andrews? 'Flowers in the Attic' anyone??

becklespeckle · 07/08/2007 12:29

I loved Flowers in the Attic when I was younger - I read and re-read my copy until it fell apart!
Think my baby is most likely to be a
Capricorn unless he/she is early (with my history, unlikely). Good that they like older company as he/she will be youngest by 5 years. Actually, much of the stuff written about Capricorns sounds very much like my Gran (who was one). DS2 escaped being a Capricorn by about 3 hours! He is an Aquarius (and a fairly typical one at that despite being born right on the cusp).

And I thought the epilogue of the last Harry Potter was a little weak compared to the rest of the book (which I thought was fab) but did tie up some lose ends rather neatly and gave a general impression that life after Voldemort was fairly calm and 'normal'.

tabimum · 07/08/2007 13:52

Anyone else read "The Memory Keepers Daughter" - very good book, highly recommend. Cant believe how far Judy Blume book infiltrated - we had it at our school too...and "Lace" too - maybe they shouldnt have bothered with sex education and just made everyone read those books instead!

mixedmama · 07/08/2007 14:02

would have been a whole lot more useful

The memory keepers daughter is on my list of books to sneak on to the bookshelf when DH is not looking.

That just made me choke on my coffee... Skidaddle.

OP posts:
Caz10 · 07/08/2007 16:09

skidaddle - glad you brought this up, as have been meaning to ask re s-e-x for a while but no-one else had mentioned it!!! DH thinks he will hurt the baby, and also now we can see/feel it moves he thinks it can "see" us... result...no "rock hard uterus" for me! !

Caz10 · 07/08/2007 16:10

PS mixedmama how are you feeling? Did you ask mw re your pains?

mixedmama · 07/08/2007 16:10

There is nothing that will put DH off sex. The other morning he wanted tohave sex whilst DS (17 months) was playing on the bedroom floor.... had to draw the line there.

OP posts:
skidaddle · 07/08/2007 16:16

eeww mixedmama - in the same room?? Quite right to draw the line!!

Caz10 - think a lot of men think the same as your DH - not a lot you can do about it really except try to persuade him.. Poor you!

mixedmama - I take it you don't have the same experience based on your coffee-choking?

mixedmama · 07/08/2007 16:18

No but my uterus doesnt go hard when i orgasm.... feel left out now.

OP posts:
Caz10 · 07/08/2007 16:19

I actually wish I'd kept quiet re the baby moving, but was so excited the 1st time he could feel it by putting his hand on my tummy. Now I have no hands anywhere near me ha ha! Although to be fair I'm so exhausted it is sometimes a relief....

Mixedmama I don't know whether to be jealous or think I'm glad I'm getting left in peace ha ha!

mixedmama · 07/08/2007 16:24

sometimes i just wish he would leave me alone. altho i am quiet good at killing the mood with things like

"oh its really itchy there today think I have an infection" hahaha so evil sometimes.

We have a no taboo kind of relationship!!!

Just spent 3 days catching up on what everyone's been up to - just about recovered from visit of Sister and brood - and as a few of you rightly predicted, when out of sisters house, DN's are far better eaters than when with her!! Had a great time though and lovely night on Friday when big sis, little sis and me went out for meal - prob over 15 years since that last happened without partners, kids, parents etc etc - lots of good old sisterly girly bitching

peanutbutter · 07/08/2007 17:50

i'll venture forth my experience - s e x is ace at the moment Really intense sensations and stronger orgasms. Don't have all that much of it because dh is away so much but when we do finally manage to get round to it it's definitely worth the effort!

suey2 · 07/08/2007 17:57

god, i find it a bit sorer than usual. Only once every 1-2 weeks: but off on 3 weeks holiday saturday woo-hoo! will have to catch up then
