happy for you jarm
now I want to know.....or maybe not...oh can't make my mind up

MotherofZ · 03/08/2007 11:28

ooh do you have any pictures of your 4d scan that you can put up?

JARM · 03/08/2007 11:48

i will do tonight, im at my dads at the moment, so will do it from home later.

Thanks all, its such a great feeling. The 4D scan is awesome, but we could tell it was a boy from the normal 2D they do as well.

WOW!!! Got a DVD and 4 black and white pics and 1 colour pic! Best £100 ive spent!

fifisworld · 03/08/2007 15:21

Well done JARM..

We are having another boy too. Its weird knowing what your having as we didnt find out with ds.

The only thing i dont like is ive had about 5 people saying to me
' i bet your devastated your not having a girl'

I'm happy regardless of what it is and even my mum has turned round and said she wanted it to be a girl

JARM · 03/08/2007 15:35

Ive just added the pics - hopefully you can see them!

fifisworld · 03/08/2007 16:24

wow they are amazing!
I really want one done but dp thinks its not fair as we didnt get one with ds.

JARM · 03/08/2007 16:30

i didnt get them with either of the girls, but im planning on this being my last!

Caz10 · 03/08/2007 16:37

Jarm - wow!! They are so amazing!! So tempted to go for that, but they are more expensive up here in the wilds...worth it though. Congrats on the boy!!

JARM · 03/08/2007 16:39

We did go for the cheaper option, we could have had a 30 min scan without DVD for £158 or with DVD for nearly £200, but decided we didnt need that long, so we got a 13 min dvd of the whole scan, 4 black and white pics for £99.50 and then £4.50 for the 1 colour pic which is bigger than the little B&W ones.

I would do it all again tomorrow if i could!

Mrswizz · 03/08/2007 16:59

Thanks for all the messages of anger on my behalf, and Mixedmama's. Just got a crime number from the police - hopefully can claim on insurance.

Congrats on the boy Jarm. All my pg friends seem to be having boys this year, it's a boy year in my neck of the woods. At least there'll be loads of little friends for DS to play with when he's born.

mixedmama · 03/08/2007 17:00

DH husband said that to me about 4d scan aswell that we didnt do it with DS1 still very keen to do it tho and love the idea of being able to watch the dvd forever.

Congrats Jarm - so sweet! I'm going to have to stick to regular old 2d scan on the NHS!

How many weeks are you now?

Neuro · 03/08/2007 17:30

Mixed Mama i've just had a look at your profile and see you are a big reader! Have you finished Wild Swans?

I am a bookworm, so your hobbies bit made me laugh

I just finished The Little Friend by Donna Tartt. I felt really down when i'd finished it, almost wretched! He he how silly.

JARM · 03/08/2007 17:47

23+4 here now, still feels like an age to go though!

macdoodle · 03/08/2007 17:54

Gosh I'm only 19+2 what a difference from start to end of month

mixedmama · 03/08/2007 18:10

Neuro - still reading it. It is really good, but I keep having to stop and google things cos the content is really interesting, plus dont get enough time with DS and work.

I have a whole shelf of books at home that I havent read yet but just keep buying. It is like an addiction, I cant walk past Waterstones without buying at least 3 books (3 for 2 you see) and i sneak them onto the shelf without DH noticing.... it is an addiction.

We are all bookworms in my family. At Xmas we all buy each other books... strange but true.

Yet another boy!!
My friend (who is incidentally having a boy as well), took her belly ring out a few weeks after dhe got a bfp. It's been okay as far as I know, and she is about 34 weeks.

thelady · 04/08/2007 08:52

I actually saw a kick/whatever last night. Amazing. Two weeks ago I couldn't feel anything - and now tadpole is playing target practice with my belly button!

Nothing huge, and probably only noticable cos I was lying in the bath at the time, but still....

I have feet like sausages at the moment - not sure if it's due to the massage/reflexology session I had yesterday or just bad luck. Thank goodness I got new shoes a size bigger on Monday last.

JARM · 04/08/2007 09:06

can we have a new stats list?

would be intersting to see what flavours we have found out already!

JARM 26/11/07 2DD's - Expecting a BOY!!!

Housemum · 04/08/2007 09:13

JARM - what was the company you used for your scan? Is it one with lots of branches - we looked at one that's in Reading and Southampton but the cheapest package with DVD was well over £100.

Mixedmama - I have a "Useful Box" stuffed with my get-round-to-reading pile! Just don't seem to have time to sit and read (except for Harry Potter the other week!) - hmmm, maybe I should spend less time on here ?? I am being v good now, though, as I find it really hard to part with books and am running out of bookcases. The library has an online reservation service, so as long as the book is in a library somewhere in the county, you can reserve it for 50p and it will be sent to the library of your choice for collection. The problem with new releases is that they are often popular so someone else might want it after you so you can't renew, but it still gives you 3/4 weeks to read it. Currently have "The New Green Consumer Guide", "The Media Diet for Kids" (have teenage game-boy/Wii/MSN addict!) and Jools Oliver's "Minus 9 to 1 Diary of a Mum"

Nbg · 04/08/2007 09:31

JARM · 04/08/2007 09:51

Housemum - it was a company called A 4D Baby, unfortunately only have 2 locations, Ipswich and Huntingdon. I guess thats why its cheap, because its a local company and the only one in the area!

NBG - thanks mate! Am so so so so so chuffed!!

Caz10 · 04/08/2007 09:52

Aaah Neuro I loved that book! Have you read the Secret History? vg also.

The cheapest 3d scan I can see up here is £250, eek! Any Scots lassies found anything better?
