Brand new thread ladies! We went through the last one so fast! Let’s hope this one brings us lots of lovely scan photos.

@Lyssa91 I completely understand the anxiety. I got a little tearful whilst waiting for my scan in the waiting room. But all was fine 😃 I hope everything goes okay for you tomorrow! Also glad to hear the spotting and cramping has resolved! Some women do find they bleed when their period is due. My sister-in-law's sister apparently bled once a month throughout her pregnancy. My spotting seemed to stop and then restarted on the day of when my second missed period would have been. The body does some weird and wonderful things! Hope everything goes well tomorrow! X

@Marshmallow1992 my friend had no symptoms throughout her whole pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby boy 😊 I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry and just enjoy feeling good 😊 x

saltandvinegar1 · 31/05/2019 01:08

Hey ladies I'm just over 6 weeks! Can't stop vomiting! Have been prescribed sickness tablets but still feel so rubbish. 😭

DinoGreen · 31/05/2019 06:30

@Marshmallow1992 I had virtually no symptoms with my first pregnancy either and it’s the same this time round. Last time I was worried like you! This time I know it’s normal for me.

Chips84 · 31/05/2019 07:17

@DinoGreen thank you for sharing that. I've also had almost no symptoms and that's been adding to my anxiety, constantly worrying that maybe there's something wrong, so reading this really helps. Hopefully all will be ok with the scan today, just want to see a heartbeat to know it's ok. I know I'm being a little bit irrational but can't stop stressing.

@Bentley111 sorry you're feeling so sick and having to go through that on top of that. My sister was signed off for 6 weeks with her second, and at one stage was hospitalised because she was so ill. Everyone's pregnancy is different so he shouldn't be comparing, but support you

CatRash · 31/05/2019 07:23

I put on about 4.5st with my first @mynameisMrG so I know exactly how you feel. I lost most of it within a few days of birth except for 1st which was pure fat 😣

And it was a complete myth that breastfeeding burns it off as I breastfed until 3 weeks ago! LIES!

On another note I got my consultant appointment through today for the 29th August - I'll be 21 weeks by then!! Seems a very long wait but I suppose pre-eclampsia is unlikely to rear its ugly head before then anyway!

DaisyMay25 · 31/05/2019 08:11

Best of luck to the having scans today!

DaisyMay25 · 31/05/2019 08:12

mynameisMrG · 31/05/2019 09:26

Good luck for the scans today everyone! My anxiety ramped up last night and I couldn't sleep. Wednesday seems ages away!

That's really good that you lost it that quickly @CatRash, it took me a year of slimming world and I still didn't get the last stone off. I've now got just under three to lose as it's crept back on but I'm desperate not to get back to that place I was in before.

The worst part was everyone was expecting a big baby because of my huge bump... he weighed 6.4 Grin

Has anyone tried travel sickness bands? I'm pretty sure I used them before but can't remember if they worked.

Cannyhandleit · 31/05/2019 09:43

@MoominMantra I'm using them, had awful nausea but never actually sick, I think they have made a difference.

MoominMantra · 31/05/2019 09:57

My dp keeps saying 'why don't you just let yourself vomit then you'll feel better' he doesn't understand how it works 🙄

Cannyhandleit · 31/05/2019 10:06

Hah my DP said the same thing to me last night. He also doesn't understand how one minute I am on the couch green because I feel so sick and the next I am raising the kitchen cupboards because I'm starving and I need to eat NOW!

Anon120 · 31/05/2019 10:18

Sorry if TMI but am currently 8+5 and have had watery and creamy CM all night and this morning. I know it could be nothing to worry about but just wondering if that's normal at this point? I guess everyone will be different x

DaisyMay25 · 31/05/2019 10:22

@Anon120 I've got all sorts of discharge going on, sometimes it's milky and sometimes it's clear, sometimes there's lots of it too. Completely normal apparently x

mynameisMrG · 31/05/2019 10:30

Same @Anon120 all sorts going on to be honest

When is everyone going to start buying maternity clothes? I'm thinking end of next month, after my scan when I'll be 13 weeks? When I'm off work I wear loose clothes anyway and I bought some bigger sized trousers for work due to bloating a while ago

Anon120 · 31/05/2019 10:48

@mynameisMrG great to know thanks. Thought it might be a silly question but guess we're all in the paranoid stage! I've never know anxiety like it!

@DaisyMay25 I've kinda jumped the gun and already bought a few bits.. I know a bit silly but all my current clothes were far too tight now. I think after 12 week scan would be a good time though :)

mynameisMrG · 31/05/2019 10:49

@DaisyMay25 I’ve got a few bits left from last time but will have to buy some stuff in autumn to see me through the colder months. I lived in maxi dresses with my DS. Not sure I’ll get away with that in December

DaisyMay25 · 31/05/2019 10:52

@Anon120 @mynameisMrG I've read online and it just says when your normal clothes stop being comfortable but I haven't worn jeans in almost two months...

I'm dreading Christmas, I'll be an actual barrel! I reckon at winter I'll live in oversized jumpers

mynameisMrG · 31/05/2019 10:53

That’s a good plan. Maternity leggings are a god send too. I still wear them now as they are so comfy!

Yesterday I went to bed with DS at 10 to 8! Blush

I can no longer do up (even with elastic band!) my skinny jeans. We've gone to visit my friend for the weekend and I'm wearung silly purple harem pants. DH thinks a) she'll guess and b) it's twins.

Anon120 · 31/05/2019 10:58

Has anyone managed to find any good snacks to combat nausea? I've literally just embarrassed myself by having to ask all my coworkers what snacks they have as feel so sick and desperate lol. Considering venturing out to grab a load but can't even decide what I want.. everything I think of makes me feel ill

Camomila · 31/05/2019 11:00

We have nice fruit bowls at work, I eat green apples or raisen snack packs every screen break.
