Is anyone else having really intense sharp pains? I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and I'm so scared of every cramp and twinge I feel like crying I'm winding myself up so much 💔

@splishandsplash I'm 10+3 and had some this morning but only for a few seconds. I think I read on here a while ago that some others did and it turned out ok. How often and long are yours?

@SleepingStandingUp I wish I could plan the date haha! When are you due?

@splishandsplash I'm 11 weeks today and some movements I get sharp pains or sometimes when I sneeze. Sometimes it's gas... I think most of the time it's things stretching out. As long as they not severe like you can stand up or going on for a long period of time it's normal.

Twice since I've been pregnant and slept on my right side I've woken up several times in the night in agony. And I mean unbearable pain. I go back to sleep on my left but wake up because I've turned over. Any solutions to this? It's very annoying. Not sure if a pregnancy pillow would help cushion it?

@DaisyMay25 yup, that would be good lol. Due 14th. Am destined to have a Xmas Day baby (my due date) or NYE baby (my birthday), I'm convinced!!

@splishandsplash I’m 11 weeks and have had some sharp pains this week, they don’t last very long but it’s definitely unsettling.
I have my ‘12 week’ scan on Monday so keeping everything crossed and hoping the next few days go by quickly!

@SleepingStandingUp what do you do for your birthday?!
This NY just gone my fella turned 40 and was adamant he didn’t want to do anything, we’d not long had MC so I took him at his word because I just couldn’t plan anything during that time. We ended up going to Homebase so he could put up a shelf for himself. I felt so guilty but he said it was all he wanted! I got various tickets for things later in the year but damn that was a boring day...

My DH has a birthday close to Christmas and has never been bothered by it but I know others are. I'm likely to be induced at 38 weeks which is new year so would probably be close to new year as I don't think they will do it then. Although all I want is to get that far and have a baby to bring home time and don't care about the date.

I can’t believe how quickly this thread is filling up!

My friend’s little boy is a NYE baby and it’s such a pain for her to organise things! Everyone is either away or busy, she doesn’t let it get in the way of celebrating though. I’m not due till 17th Jan but DD was over a week early so I’m kinda hoping this one won’t keep me waiting too long either 🤞 it was nice not to go overdue and get to the ‘just get this thing out of me’ stage.

@anitagreen hhmmm maybe.... but only if you promise you've done all the shopping and food prep before my birthday or once i'm in bed! no one is allowed to prep for any other celebration on my birthday!! at least i won't have to go to school on it...

@Ann334 we normally do family lunch at a local pub and then a quiet one in. First yr married, we went to Paris which was cool, but there were no fireworks at the Eifel Tower!! We came back to the hotel and watched the London ones on TV haha. Now we just stay in and watch it on telly as we have a 4 yo

@Bluebelltulip yup that's all that matters really.

i'm worried about going too early and ruining Christmas for DS if i'm in hospital so just want to get past Christmas Day, which is 37 weeks

@anitagreen kfc 😱 I'd love kfc but I'm now on antibiotics and dealing with a sinus infection which spread to one side of my gums so too tender to chew 😭 so much pain it's unreal!

I've given up with normal food and had soup today 👎🏻

My birthday is 12 December and I used to hate it if anyone tried to put the Xmas decs up before my birthday lol.

Flump estimated 12th jan and if he/ she comes early I'd rather only a week so Xmas is out the way lol x

If you're going to KFC you need a TOASTED Zinger wrap.

I'm due 7/1. DS2 came at 38 weeks which would be Christmas Day of it happened this time!

We were supposed to spend Christmas Day at MIL's house this year. She asked me if I thought they should all come and stay with us this year so I don't have to travel 😬
Er, 8 extra people over on Christmas Day when I'm 38 weeks pg (including 2 under 6s) No thanks 😅

I've not been on here much as I get vertigo and scrolling on a phone makes it worse. I can't take my meds 😕

Hope everyone's ok 👍

Mmm KFC. I've been eating it loads! I live in Malaysia and we have a delicious slightly spicy cheese sauce here and it's just yummy - not sure if you get that in the UK.

Managed to squeeze into my suit! Phew, the room is so hot though and all the people we're presenting to are dressed really casually 😂

Oh wow plipliop - vertigo from scrolling on your phone sounds awful!

Morning ladies. I had some cramping last night and a bit this morning. No spotting or anything though so hopefully nothing to worry about.

I’m not due until 18th Jan so likelihood of a Christmas baby is pretty slim! I’ll be about 36 weeks on Christmas Day though so def won’t be offering to host this year - DM can have the pleasure!

10 weeks today! It feels like a milestone week to me, double figures and all! I’ve got a private scan booked for Sunday which I’m really, really looking forward to. I’ve told myself that after it, I’ll just stop being so uptight and allowe myself to enjoy this!

Also, I come off all IVF drugs today which is terrifying but hugely exciting! No more shoving tablets up myself multiple times a day Grin

@DinoGreen try not to worry, could just be bad stretching pains, I keep getting a crappy pain in my side but I had a scan at 6 + 3 so know baby is in right place

I’m feeling slightly negative this morning. Still bleeding after more than three weeks, stretching/crampy pains when I woke up and still ten days til my next scan. I know I have seen baby and they could see why I was bleeding but it’s starting to get me down a little bit

I've been having terrible nightmares about miscarriage. And other stuff to do with my Dp's family. On and off. Sorry I hope I don't upset anyone saying that. I've just started a new job so that is luckily keeping my mind occupied.
I'm hoping it's just anxiety about pregnancy. I have this continual worry that because my dp and I are older (I'm 38 and he's 50) that something will go wrong. But I'm trying to be positive and do everything right. I didn't worry like this about my other 3 pregnancies but I was in my 20s then. The doctors keep saying 'don't worry about your age, you look very young' but I don't see how that makes a difference because my eggs are still 38 years old.
