I keep forgetting I'm pregnant and when I remember I smile :-) although I'm rubbish at keeping secrets so I'm struggling with not telling people, I had to tell people early on last time due to my job at the time

Daisy 8 weeks today! I think I’ll feel less wobbly about everything when I hit that 12 week mark but I did see something the other day which said after seeing a heart beat at an 8 week scan, chances of a successful pregnancy are 98% which I found really reassuring!

Is anyone else really horrendously bloated???? All of my jeans are barely doing up, they're actually uncomfortable to wear, and I'm only 5 weeks in! It's making me really nervous because I had mega bloat with my last pregnancy and it ended up being an ectopic 😖

Does anyone else have a BMI of 35 or higher?
I've been told my bmi is 35 on the nose today at my booking appointment, they have advised some stuff that I'll need to be wary of and I'll need checking for diabetes etc but I just wondered if anyone else had this experience and advice from previous pregnancies?

Had my scan and everything was perfect, even gave us a little wiggle! Measuring at 2 days ahead, over the moon and now I think I can relax a little!

Hi Everyone!
I'm 5+4 - EDD 26/01/2020

This is my first pregnancy and to say I'm anxious would be an understatement. I want this to work out so badly but just terrified of all the things that could go wrong. Can't wait till that first scan to help put my mind at ease.

Congratulations everyone!

It's all so exciting and overwhelming. I have no idea what to expect haha. Time just seems to drag since I took my test last week.

@TealBug yes!! Have already ordered some maternity clothes .. I know I might be jumping the gun but I feel SO uncomfortable at work in my normal clothes.

@Seahawk80 oh brill! That's so good to know. I called them this morning to change my appt time and they were brilliant. I'm also going to announce that I'm on the 'overworrier' ship that's sailed 😂 we've had so many things thrown against DP and I recently that I'm just so worried the stress has had negative effects. I know this is a really naive question probably but would you still be exhibiting normal pregnancy symptoms if indeed the little bean has stopped growing for any reason? X

Aw congratulations @DaisyMay25, what a lovely photo.

I don’t want to jinx it but I feel a bit better today. Might be because I’ve been really busy with visitors but I’m not asleep on the sofa so I take that as a win!

Got slimming world tonight. This should be a riot.

Hi all, due baby no.4 first week of January, all being well. Think im going to give in and book a private scan for sunday. Wink
With my other 3 pregnancies i have been hospital led so was scanned regularly, my gp retired last year and new gp wont refer me for an early scan, said i had to go through midwife for booking in and wait for routine 12 week scan Sad. Just wanted some advise with regards to private scans around the 7/8/9 week mark? I was incredibly lucky to get pregnant first month off the pill so not sure how far along i am, i finished my last pill 4.4.19 and had a withdrawal bleed. Got bfp 6.5.19 cld 2-3weeks so assuming am i will be dating from withdrawal bleed as opposed to lmp. I have very few symptoms apart from earing everything in sight every 2-3 hours, little boob ache and tiredness. I had extreme nausea and vomitting with my 3 boys ao im thankful it has not reared its head but has me worried something is wrong Hmm just cant win.

Aww lovely pic @DaisyMay25

Dh and me just had a row... apparently in all the pregnant women he's known (through work, where there's been about 5 pregnancies in 13 years), no one has had to be signed off with such severe sickness and surely I can be doing more to help myself. So fucking angry 😡

@splishandsplash yes I do, 36. I wasn't overweight for my last pregnancy so it's all new to me too. But I think my booking in is with the consultant's team (so a doc rather than a midwife) as it is deemed "high risk". But will see when I get there! My booking in is on 7th June.

LillyLeaf · 30/05/2019 16:13

@Bentley111 wow, he seriously needs to educate himself about early pregnancy and that everyone is different.

Is anyone experiencing chills? I keep getting random chills where I feel really cold, it's so strange. It's 23 degrees here.

@Bentley111 oh my god I'd be FUMING. What exactly does he want you to do??

TealBug · 30/05/2019 16:23

@anon120 so it's not just me! Have bought some larger tops today and have slipped on some maternity jeans I had put away. I hope your order arrives soon so you're more comfortable! I've been cramping really badly up until today and they seem to have subsided, I think it may have been to do with me stuffing myself into too tight clothes?!

SleepingStandingUp · 30/05/2019 16:23

@splishandsplash yep me. Will be consultant led, and have growth scan at 28 weeks. Advised to take 75 mg aspirin a day. Last time I was tested for gestational diabetes at 28 weeks but was negative x

@LillyLeaf I did last week, this week I feel like utter sh*t 🤢
Had a week off work and slept most of it, not sure how I'm going to cope next week

@Bentley111 yo, dear idiot who impregnated me. The fact that no one you know has ever been signed off with pregnancy sickness, and the fact I HAVE, should tell you how ill I am. Also prenatal psychosis is an acceptable murder defence. Love the woman who is carrying and growing your child
