Thanks all. We are at the in-laws for Xmas day but they only live 15 mins from us and we don’t stay over so it’s not too bad

Ugh I know MIL will suggest us at gers for Xmas day (37 weeks) but she murders veg in pans of boiling water.
I think I'd rather be at home and buy lots of preprepped veg!

@mynameisMrG thanks, that's the one thing sticking in my brain, get through this and childbirth will be a doddle!

Whoever though paracetamol was worth it as pain relief is beyond me, doesn't touch anything 👎🏻

@mynameisMrG sorry sorry you're still bleeding, I really hope it stops soon.

@Missmonkeypenny I'm jealous, my clinic are over cautious so I've still gotta do the up the bum bullet every other day now, luckily just three left and still on blood thinners until Wednesday!

I'll be 39 weeks on Christmas Day, I've told DH I'll go somewhere for Christmas dinner (probably his dad's) then go back home.

I've got really bad back ache today in my lower back, I think I'm gonna start showing soon

You have my sympathies @NoMoreFastCars82, there is no pain worse than toothache in my opinion! Including childbirth

So I had my early scan yesterday evening. All looks well so far and little blob is measuring spot on for my dates.

So glad I booked a private scan, feel like I can enjoy it a little more now. Sounds daft but I'd convinced myself there was going to be nothing there. Seeing that little heart beating away was just the best feeling.

Hope everyone is doing okay, I keep getting loads of cramps particularly when I stand up after being sat at my desk for a while and feel nauseous every day now.

Thanks for the reassurances re cramping. I know a number of ladies on here have mentioned having it. I haven’t felt anymore since this morning which is good. Another week and a bit to go until my early scan - I’m sure I’ll feel reassured after that! Why does the first trimester go soooo slowly!!

Thanks ladies, just having a blue day I think. This weather isn’t helping so me and DS are having a duvet day

@MoominMantra I had awful AWFUL ones with DS. And then flashbacks in the day. My Dad brought me a dreamcatcher which stopped them 😁 so part psychological and part just end of first trimester I think. Hopefully they'll settle down the further you get xx

That's great news @Missmonkeypenny!

Sending lots of love @mynameisMrG it must be really tough to see, even when you know things are progressing ok. Can you call EPU this morning and tell them it's getting worse? They'll hopefully bring it forward xx

I think cramping is normal @DinoGreen I've had it on and off since BFP - it is scary though.

@mynameisMrG it must be wearing when it's been going on for a while. I'm glad last scan went well and wishing you all the luck for the next one 😊 I haven't had one yet., my first one is booked with NHS at 12+4 and just feels like I've been forever waiting! this is so difficult isn't it

I've been having terrible nightmares about miscarriage. And other stuff to do with my Dp's family. On and off. Sorry I hope I don't upset anyone saying that. I've just started a new job so that is luckily keeping my mind occupied.
I'm hoping it's just anxiety about pregnancy. I have this continual worry that because my dp and I are older (I'm 38 and he's 50) that something will go wrong. But I'm trying to be positive and do everything right. I didn't worry like this about my other 3 pregnancies but I was in my 20s then. The doctors keep saying 'don't worry about your age, you look very young' but I don't see how that makes a difference because my eggs are still 38 years old.
