Caroline- took your title to follow on the horsey theme!!

No idea what I'm having. Wanted to find out but DH didn't and as it meant we'd have had to pay for a private scan we didn't bother.
What about you?

After going to the show yesterday I have decided DD may get a bit bored sitting thru it. Told MIL and she is taking someone else. Doesn't really change the fact I'm going to be practically on my own Saturday Night. My sister lives up the road so I suppose I could call on her if needed.

MIL goes to slimming world and lent my email address so the instructor could send some reciepes to her. They are really good.

If anyone wants them I can forward you the file. It does invovlve an awful lot of printing tho. Let me know. Just thougth we might all be getting body conscience in the next few weeks.

Hi all - havent had time to catch up yet - thanks for adding me to the stats (see it was a july baby after all!!)

Sending you all positive vibes and hoping that your labours are nicer than mine!!
In fact next time round, i would try an epidural again (i thought it had failed with my 1st dd but given what Ive just been through it must have helped alot). so thats my top tip of the day!!

Catstar - Oh my! I hope that your doing okay girl! Glad to hear you ate your pork chops before going anywhere!
Hope all is going well and glad to hear the TENS is working for you. Keep us informed.

Bubble - Absolutely precious! Well done.

Firststar - I won't abandon you!

Well, I just saw the midwife and everything is where it should be. Head is fully engaged (why it feels soooo heavy down there!) and I am ready to go. She said that I could be sooner rather than later but theres no telling! Hey ho, it will come when its ready right? So going off now to eat 8 pineapples, drink castor oil and will pounce on my DH as he walks through the door demanding some 'baby bouncing'!

typhoonsmum - Am so much in pregnancy mode that read your DD being bored sitting through "show" in the context of a mucous plug/bloody show and not a bit of light entertainment. I really need to have this baby!

Report
typhoonsmum · 13/07/2007 17:49

Caroline I never even thought of it in that context.

I am achy and sore everywhere. I need to have this baby to. I need to be able to breathe again and wear clothes that don't make me look like Dafyyd from Little Britain.

Hi everyone,
Great birth stories!

Hope everyone is doing ok and things are moving along.
Have spent most of this week absolutely exhausted - does your body try and prepare you for what is coming?!
Am about to have tea of curry and pineapple, pointless probably, but am really ready for this baby now! have had cramps and tightening all day but have learnt that this means absolutely NOTHING! Am also tempted to book for HP tomorrow - booking in advance is surely more likely to make me go into labour tonight, right?!

twoplusone · 13/07/2007 18:48

Dumbledorf.. Goodluck and hope the tightenings amount to something. Hope the curry and pineapple work for you.
If not enjoy HP.

DH has gone out for a Mess meeting tonight, so I am sat bored.. ds gone to bed and is fast asleep and dd is sleeping over at my friends. Hopefully he wont be too late back.

I am just going to settle myself infront of the tv and veg all night..

Have a nice night everyone.xx

Twoplusone - Enjoy the peace and quiet (and remote control) while you can!

I feel exhausted tonight but still dragging myself around trying to 'prepare' when realistically I could have another 3 weeks!
Haved shaved just about everywhere, plucked eyebrows, tidied up my nails...and now feel like some ice cream!

Who was it that said they wanted their body back? Kind of feeling like that but also a little scared that its never going to go back! My tummy is soooo huge right now it still surprises me that it can stretch this much!

Have a great night all and hope you all manage some sleep.

MEN!

I will never understand them. Why can they not finish one thing b4 starting another.

DP finally finished the living room after 2 and half years last Saturday and started to finish the bathroom. He arrived home from work this afternoon and decided to change the taps in the kitchen sink.
To cut a long story short he has now removed the kitchen sink and the kitchen looks a disgrace. The water is off and DD has been messing with and ink pad and has blue hands that I can't wash clean.

Typhoonsmum, think Justaboutmanaging will sympathise with you there. My dh is the same. We now have 6 mirrors propped up around the house, we've not put the pictures back up after taking them down nearly 2 years ago when we were decorating, and the only reason the blind went back up in the bathroom, was because when the man who fitted our new curtains came, I got him to feel sorry for me and he put them up.

Justbeme-sorry to hear your labour wasn't everything you had hoped for, that was shameful leaving you waiting for an hour but at least you have babes in your arms now. Amazing doing all that ironing first! Very big congratulations and welcome to the world for your LO.

Catstar- I hope those pork chops keep you going, we're all thinking of you, good luck.

2+1 thanks for doing the stats

Goveregg- there's always one horrible person at the hospital isn't there...grrrr

Whomping- was OP birth a normal delivery though and what pain relief did you have? (Ouch!)

Myfairone- lovely PO man, I think my hormones would have gone into overdrive on such a nice gesture.

PrincessPS- You BH's are v active, I would have thought I was in labour at that point- if you keep that level of composure for the real thing you'll be flying.

I'm very impressed with some of the pruning that's been going on it puts me to shame!

I think I will indulge in a curry, etc tomorrow as nothing is happening for me yet but I still have loads of housework to do so I'm not complaining.

Bye for now all x

Jam - hope you are ok. what a day.

I had contractions for about an hour last night every 10-12 mins. (for most of the evening they were very irregular tightenings) But just didnt feel right all night.

Not sure if my waters (or a set went) went last night .... or I properly wet myself lauyghing and coughing at dh. But as I was having a laughing/coughing fit I was trying to stop ythe flow but i coudlnt..!! I dod think though that is because of the laughing!!.. Oh I just dont know. Just going to wait and see what happens over the weekend. I am at the hospital on monday anyway.

JAM - Oh my! How exciting! A blue flashing light ambulance ride all to yourself!
I hope that your feeling okay and lets keep our fingers crossed that you don't remain in this state for a week! Keep us informed.

Twoplusone - Lets hope it was the waters breaking and things are moving. Glad to hear that you are having a laugh while you are waiting!

It is all go isnt it...Tiggsy, My dog is really picking up on something too..gotta love the animal instincts...too bad my DH isn't more like him

Well how are we today? I am still getting a ton of BH and finding it so hard to bend over! Why is it that you seem to drop a lot more when its so hard to pick things up? Im making all sorts of groaning noises now and I really don't care!

Have a great day all. Good luck to all those that 'think today might be the day'!
