December 2019

I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver good luck tomorrow, fingers crossed for you

@leomama81 you are quite far along, I believe a heartbeat would show. I saw one at 7+5 last week and the sonographer told me she sees them from 5+5

BostonFern · 29/04/2019 17:32

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver hoping the evening goes quickly for you and you get seen early on tomorrow morning.

@leomama81 they should be able to find a heartbeat by 8 weeks, I had mine at 8 weeks and it was quite easy to spot. Try not to POAS a stick if you can help it either- from this point of pregnancy onwards they can get lighter, and even be negative, due to a change in the different types of HCG molecules the tests can't pick them up as well (it's called 'the Hook effect' I think) -I tested at 8 weeks and it was such a faint line I panicked, and was frantically googling!

Nausea has been at its worst, for me, today (9+3), I've been retching over the work toilets 😔 Still grateful it's not worse though. Other than that I've had lower back pain towards the end of the day for the last couple of days, think it must be all the ligaments relaxing as relaxin is being produced.

Thanks @smartcarnotsosmartdriver and good luck tomorrow x

Had my dating scan appointment, it's in a little under 3 weeks and I'll be 10+6-ish which I feel is a bit early as the screening tests say from 11 weeks... sure it'll all be fine anyway.

leomama81 · 29/04/2019 21:48

@BostonFern thanks

Lozzlepop · 30/04/2019 09:38

Well ladies I think the time has now come for me to leave the group 😔 it’s been so lovely to have such fantastic support during my short time with you! I really hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies ❤️ Thank you for all your words of support and advice you are all amazing strong women!!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 30/04/2019 12:12

Had my scan this morning, little heart still beating, relieved doesn't even cover it x

Pip231018 · 30/04/2019 12:44

I've had some light bleeding. Just a few drops of bright red blood yesterday. And today there is a pinkish tinge when I wipe after a wee. Has anyone else has this? Due to the small amount I'm trying to not worry but just want to make sure I'm not over looking something more serious, I'm sure it's just spotting.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 30/04/2019 13:11

@Pip231018 I had that at 5 and 6 weeks and a good bit more than that at the weekend and everything is just fine x

Pip231018 · 30/04/2019 13:37

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver I saw you'd had your scan, I'm pleased it went well. It's only a small amount so I don't want to create panic. I'd just be happier if it stopped and wasn't something I had to think about. X

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 30/04/2019 13:39

@Pip231018 I know exactly what you mean, my midwife said it's very common and unless it's a lot e.g passing clots or goes on for more than 2 weeks then it's unlikely that anything's wrong.

Pip231018 · 30/04/2019 14:14

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver That's good to know. I'm working from home but it's bothering me. I'm not being very productive. I have a discomfort, not any kind of 'pain' but like an ache. Which I've probably had and paid no attention to because there was not any blood to alarm me. X

agteacht · 30/04/2019 15:08

Take care of yourself @Lozzlepop

@Pip231018 I've had this a couple of times but all still fine so I think you have to just hold your nerve unfortunately

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver brilliant news about your scan, it's such a relief isn't it

I had my booking appt today at 8+2
Lots of questions and blood samples but otherwise uneventful. Next appt is 12w scan on 28 May, feels like ages away.

Also have been hit by such tiredness it's unreal. Lucky has taken today off work for the appt. Got up at 8, back to bed at 10 for two hour nap. Think I'm going to have to go for another lie-down. Cannot be normal...

codenameduchess · 30/04/2019 15:13

@Pip231018 I had it at 5 weeks and had some again last night and this morning but this mornings had a bit of green too so I've been to the gp (on midwifes advice) and he said a little bit of brown or spotting is usually nothing to worry about but if it increases or there's pain to go to urgent care.... do you have a number for your midwife yet?

Pip231018 · 30/04/2019 16:06

@agteacht It's frustrating and terrifying. Just have to see how it goes. Fingers crossed.

@codenameduchess I do, she only works Wednesday at my surgery but I have the number for EPU which I can ring 24/7 so unless I see an increase in blood flow or pain then I'll refrain from calling.

Trying not to be a serial toilet checker - this pregnancy is turning me in to a mentalist. I had my app last week with the midwife but not received my scan letter yet😕

codenameduchess · 30/04/2019 16:33

@Pip231018 serial toilet checking should be recognised symptom of the first trimester! I've just had to see my very handsome and super nice gp and brown/green discharge and my vaginal bacteria/possible infections 🤦‍♀️ luckily he booked me in with the female nurse for swabs tomorrow, I might have died if he did it. I see him often in the supermarket and he really is yummy 😵

Pip231018 · 30/04/2019 16:53

@codenameduchess There is no dignity in pregnancy is there?! I hate it when you're intimidated by really good looking people. It's so awkward to talk to them about your vag.

I was in hospital a while ago and I needed fluid draining off my brain, it involved a talk and handsome Dr who was super fit and I had to lie with my bum in his face in a pair of see through knickers. He couldn't get the needle in between my vertebrate and then said 'I'm just going to try another needle as you're not as skinny as some people' - cheers. X

codenameduchess · 30/04/2019 17:14

Aw @Pip231018 the needle comment was a bit harsh!

I had no problems or concerns last time round so the only time my bits were a hot topic I was in labour and couldn't have cared how many people's hands were in there 😂

Pip231018 · 30/04/2019 17:32

@codenameduchess fingers crossed for only one pair of hands tomorrow! Good luck. Haha! X

BostonFern · 30/04/2019 18:25

@Lozzlepop take care of yourself xx

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver so pleased for you!

@agteacht glad to hear your booking in appointment went well, I have mine on Friday-I'll be 10 weeks then, so hoping I'll get an appointment for the 12 week scan soon after that. The tiredness is something else isn't it- one of my work colleagues and friends told me she fell asleep at her laptop when she was in her first trimester!

@Pip231018 I'm still a serial toilet paper checker, I've got a feeling it won't stop! Crossing my fingers that it improves for you today x

Does anyone else have terrible skin right now? I don't think I had this many spots as a teenager!

agteacht · 30/04/2019 22:52

@BostonFern ooh good luck for Friday. The tiredness is unreal, I'm actually worried about going to work tomorrow as can't see how to get through without a nap!

LovesHisMummyReally · 01/05/2019 11:38

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver. Yes I have evil spots since 4 weeks (now 6). Didn't have this with previous pregs. Slapping the make up on.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 01/05/2019 19:42

Got my letter through for my "12 week" scan. I'll be 13 + 5...

BostonFern · 01/05/2019 20:20

Thanks @agteacht.

That must be frustrating @smartcarnotsosmartdriver
