I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

Out for the day with DH and I've started bleeding, not too heavily at the moment but enough to cause panic. Called maternity triage and they'll book me in for a scan on Monday but they can't do it now. I've to call back if it's heavy or I start to cramp. I knew this was going too well.

BostonFern · 27/04/2019 13:16

@agteacht I'm not sure if the midwife will go over it, my first appointment is next week too.
The scientist in me gets carried away with research and data, so when I started looking at the NHS combined test and compared it to the NIPT test I knew quite early on that I'd opt for a NIPT.
Since you can only get it done privately here (unless you get a high risk combined test result from the NHS, and even then I believe you still pay between half to two thirds of the cost of having it done privately) I then started to look at what options the private clinics had. Harmony and Panorama are the most commonly offered around here, so I then started looking at how sensitive they are and what the false positive rates are.
In the end I've opted for the Panorama test, as on the whole it has a better sensitivity and lower false positive rate (it's also cheaper at my local clinic, and can be done earlier).

Hi 👋, I’m due 1st December, currently 8 + 6.
First time pregnancy 🤰 for me. A little nerve racking, hormones all over the place 🙈

BostonFern · 27/04/2019 13:25

Welcome and congratulations @Babykent2019 👋🏻

agteacht · 27/04/2019 13:39

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver oh no but keep calm. I had bleeding but all was well at early scan yesterday

agteacht · 27/04/2019 13:40

Welcome @Babykent2019

Thanks a lot @BostonFern. Sounds like a good plan. I will ask the midwife at appt on Tuesday and research the tests you mentioned.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 27/04/2019 15:07

Thank you @agteacht and @BostonFern it seems lighter now but until they can scan me I'll probably still be a bit on edge.

fonxey · 27/04/2019 17:28

Well tiredness hit me. I usually get a bit sleepy on car journeys anyway but it really got me this time. I could barely keep my eyes open.

And sudden craving for melons and pineapple and tinned peaches. Only went to trsco and no bloody tinned fruit! Now to Sainsbury's. Angry

agteacht · 27/04/2019 18:22

I feel so nauseous I can't stop eating. I always assumed sickness meant no eating. I'm the opposite 😬😬😬

codenameduchess · 27/04/2019 18:25

@agteacht I'm grazing all day right now, all beige foods but anything flavourful or bigger than a few bites comes straight back up 🤢

I've been in a play centre for 5 hours today slowly sipping water and nibbling on crackers and haribos 🙄

Babykent2019 · 27/04/2019 18:38

I haven't had any morning sickness yet. Felt nauseous but no sickness.
Eating like a horse though. Just got through a punnet is raspberries, punnet of grapes and two packets of Mostar munch 🙈

Starrynights86 · 28/04/2019 03:01

Starting to feel quite terrible here too, the plain food desires have kicked in, eating little but often.

windysowindy · 28/04/2019 06:54

@BostonFern I am having the Harmony test.
This is one of the things I told myself I would do if I was ever to have another baby.

4 weeks to go 😭😭😭

elephantmarch · 29/04/2019 08:50

morning. Just wanted to say I’m thinking of you @smartcarnotsosmartdriver I hope everything is ok at the early pregnancy scan

I’m surviving on fruit pastels at the moment to keep the nausea off but it’s like being constantly car sick.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 29/04/2019 09:07

Thanks @elephantmarch I've called EPU and a midwife is going to call me back.

fonxey · 29/04/2019 09:58

I'm only 6 weeks and find it very uncomfortable to sleep on my stomach. Is this normal? It isn't my boobs, is my stomach it feels uncomfortable .

Just from what I've read it says sigh you shouldn't sleep on your stomach anyway (it's always been my most comfy position) but that is ok until the belly grows. Well my belly hasn't gotten, in fact I'm no longer feeling quite as bloated as before i don't think.

It didn't hurt as such, just feels hugely uncomfortable. Might just be paranoia.

Weirdly I've been sleeping on my side. Before pregnancy i couldn't sleep on my sides as I'd get bad shoulder pain that would make my arms go numb and yet now I'm not.

I can't explain it!

fonxey · 29/04/2019 10:00

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver good luck for today.

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 29/04/2019 11:22

Thanks everyone, called EPU 2 and a half hours ago, still heard nothing, not sure if I should call back or just wait?

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 29/04/2019 11:45

Tried to call them back, can't get through

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 29/04/2019 12:10

Booked in for a scan tomorrow morning

codenameduchess · 29/04/2019 13:37

I've had a call from my midwife to let me know I should be taking 75mg baby asprin and extra folic acid. There's a prescription for the folic at my go.

I was at work when she called so couldn't ask, but what is the aspirin for? I assume on account of me being a chubster, but what is its benefit?

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 29/04/2019 14:45

@codenameduchess my midwife said to start the aspirin at 16 weeks, it's to reduce the likelihood of blood clots as we're more likely to get them.

leomama81 · 29/04/2019 16:55

Has anyone had an early scan and not seen a heartbeat? I want to have one as I am quite anxious but a doctor in my family said I shouldn't as they might not detect a heartbeat at this stage and then it will just worry me more.

I POAS today, still showing as pregnant - the line did seem a little bit fainter than before, not faint though, but I think I didn't dip it for quite long enough. Still it just feels like such a long time to go without any proof that everything is alright! I'm 8 weeks and 5 days according to my app though I think I am actually a little less, I have my booking appointment on Friday and then my scan three weeks later.

Congratulations to all everyone who has had a great scan - so exciting!
