I'm hoping I haven't missed a December 2019 thread- apologies if I have.
I got my BFP at 10dpo this morning, giving me an estimated due date of 2nd December.
I know it's incredibly early-I'm very nervous about that at the moment!
Is there anyone else with a December 2019 due date yet?

Hi everyone thanks for the welcome, it's nice to know you're not in it alone. I'm feeling ok, really nauseous this morning (pretty sure that's not supposed to kick in for a couple of weeks!) mild cramps but I've heard that can be normal. I'm really worried I'll overthink everything and drive myself mad! Still doesn't feel real but I have the test to prove it!

Lozzlepop · 20/03/2019 14:10

@Weathergirl1 how exciting, my AF was due between yesterday and tomorrow. Going to wait until next week to call the docs just to be sure.

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver hello and congratulations, how are you doing?

@Hatty33 hi, nice to see you joining from the TTC thread! My first baby too so even though its early days we are both very excited!

@dalecooperscoffeecup oh thats good that you are feeling so good, I am feeling quite tired mainly and a bit nauseous but ok otherwise, noticed I have been drinking a lot of water too.

BostonFern · 20/03/2019 14:42

@Lozzlepop the thirst has taken me by surprise! I wasn't expecting to need to drink so much.

@BostonFern snap, I must have had about 3 litres today plus milk in my porridge and a cuppa this morning- making me need to pee like a racehorse 🐎lol

Blondielongie · 20/03/2019 21:36

Hello can I join? I had my bfp yesterday. Due 26th November so kind of close? My 2nd baby. Wondering when symptoms will start!

BostonFern · 21/03/2019 06:21

Hi @Blondielongie ,welcome, the more the merrier!

Lozzlepop · 21/03/2019 07:47

@BostonFern how are you feeling today hun? Did you manage to rest up yesterday? I feel like time has never gone so slowly since finding out, anyone else the same?

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 21/03/2019 07:59

Good morning! How's everyone feeling this morning? I've had some mild cramps since yesterday and they're really driving me mad.

Weathergirl1 · 21/03/2019 13:09

I'm not feeling thirsty. I usually drink quite a lot and I've actually realised I haven't been drinking my usual amount the last few days... Weird!

I've just even to the doctor's to register for online services this morning. Apparently our surgery wants you to have a triple appointment with a GP once you find out (which surprised me as it seems that most people's experiences are of being told to book in with the midwife several more weeks down the line) but I can't quite bring myself to phone up and make an appointment at the moment 😱 so I went for the easier option... 🤣

dalecooperscoffeecup · 21/03/2019 13:26

A triple appointment? Madness. I think I was about 9 weeks when I had my booking last time but had booked it a couple of weeks ahead.

I know what you mean though, it feels very real even though nothing is outwardly different!

Weathergirl1 · 21/03/2019 14:13

Well that plan of avoidance didn't quite work so well... You can't make antenatal appointments through the online system so I will have to phone up anyway 😲😬

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 21/03/2019 15:55

I'm really nervous to call the drs don't want to waste their time but I think that goes back to what happened around my MC. Do people usually call straight away or wait a week or 2?

Weathergirl1 · 21/03/2019 16:54

I don't know, but I have an existing health issue so I really ought to see them sooner rather than later.

Lozzlepop · 21/03/2019 17:32

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver I’ve had some mild cramping and quite a lot of back pain!

@Weathergirl1 I think I just need to call the docs and they refer me to the midwife. It’s just so soon I’m hesitant to do so 🙈

BostonFern · 21/03/2019 19:59

Hey @Lozzlepop , feeling a bit better today, managed to rest yesterday and went back into work today. Ready to fall asleep already though! Can't wait to sleep at the weekend 😂 how are you feeling @Lozzlepop?

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver I've had a few odd twinges today, sometimes like a pulling feeling and sometimes more sharp (they go quickly though).

@Weathergirl1 I rang my GP surgery and they sent my details through to the midwife. I'm seeing a GP in a couple of weeks to go over pain relief options as I have chronic pain after two hip surgeries and want to avoid taking anything if possible during pregnancy, so I'm hoping they'll be able to recommend something safe and alternative to help with that.

@smartcarnotsosmartdriver I called the Drs the day after I found out, but I'm in a similar position to weathergirl in that I have pre-existing health conditions that will need to be kept a close eye on during pregnancy.

Lozzlepop · 21/03/2019 20:07

@BostonFern that’s good glad to hear it ☺️ I am ok, tired and need to wait up to pick the OH up from the station later! Looking forward to the weekend to sleep too I just feel like I’m constantly yawning!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 21/03/2019 20:57

Thanks @BostonFern that's really reassuring. I called the drs today and they gave me the number for the health centre as I should speak to a midwife so I'll try them tomorrow when they're open and see what they say. I doubt I'm the first nervous first time mum they've come across.

Blondielongie · 21/03/2019 21:12

I just called and asked to book an appointment with the midwife. Not seeing her for 4 weeks though. Will be 8 weeks pregnant by then. The time is just going to drag isn't it!

BostonFern · 22/03/2019 06:57

@Blondielongie this week has seemed so long- everyone around me is saying is flown by, but each day for me has seemed ages (wondering am I really pregnant, will my period still come, what happens if....). We have booked an early scan for about 4 weeks time, which I think will feel like a long wait!

OP posts:
Lozzlepop · 22/03/2019 09:54

@Blondielongie did you need to see your gp first or do they just refer you? I have no idea how the process works.

@BostonFern I am the same, this has felt like the longest week. We are thinking of paying for a private scan too around easter weekend which would make me just over 8 weeks.

Weathergirl1 · 22/03/2019 12:01

@LozzlePop I think it really varies depending on where you are. I bet even nearby surgeries have different rules!

I plucked up the courage to phone up this morning and have an appointment for the 2nd. I was a bit surprised that they didn't seem to be that urgent when I mentioned already being on medication but hey ho. My designated GP isn't there next week so I'd rather wait a few more days than see a different one that I was offered for the end if next week! (I'm fairly sure the meds are fine as I know pregnant friends who've been given it but the receptionist didn't know that!)

marshallnevergetspicked · 22/03/2019 16:39

Hi everyone!

Hoping I can join in here, I've just had a BFP and expecting on 27th November, the current November group are way beyond where I'm at! I would imagine it would be early December as think I ovulated late this month, and my first was 10 days late!!

It's been a long journey to get here, I already have an almost 4 year old DD but have been struggling to conceive a second, it's taken 2.5 years to get to this point so far, having had two miscarriages in that time (both by 6 weeks). However, this one feels much more positive - my boobs are absolutely killing me, and generally like when I was pregnant with DD so fingers crossed it's third time lucky here.

I've already spoken to my GP to let her know I'm 4 weeks based on my recent history, I'm hoping to get an early scan, and will pay for one privately if necessary, but GP advised me to make midwife appointment ASAP, so will get that sorted next week I think.

Not looking forward to being classed as a geriatric, I'm 37, 38 by the time I'm due!

BostonFern · 22/03/2019 18:35

Welcome @marshallnevergetspicked , congratulations on your BFP! I can't imagine how anxious you must be, hopefully you'll get an early scan and some reassurance.

I hope everyone's had a good day.

I'm worn out today- slept badly last night too.

I feel like I get really bloated as the day goes on- anyone else feel like that?

marshallnevergetspicked · 22/03/2019 22:17

@BostonFern thanks for the welcome, hope you manage to get a better sleep tonight!

Yes I'm feeling quite anxious - trying to keep positive about this (hence joining up on here) but so worried it could all go wrong again 😥

Blondielongie · 23/03/2019 07:21

@lozzlepop last time I booked a doctors appointment but I felt they were just going through the motions and not really bothered. I thought I would have to prove I was pregnant by doing a test but nope! They just believed me. They referred me to the midwife at 8 weeks who then booked me for a 12 week scan.

When I phoned this time I said 'can I book my first midwife appointment,' and they did that for me.

@bostonfern its the problem finding out early. I can't wait for the scan. That will be the first milestone!
