@BadBadBeans that's great news about the biopsy/breastfeeding! Must be such a relief οΏΌ

@Gronk27 so sorry you've felt let down today. These end of pregnancy hormones really play havoc don't they?

I've still got nothing going on here but think I lost a bit of my plug this morning so plan on walking until I drop tomorrow, come hell or high water! DD has already told me she's not up for this but I'm sure if there's a playground involved I'll manage to convince her. As long as it's not raining...

Dalesgirl16 · 12/03/2019 19:26

Hi. My due date actually changed from 3/4/19 to planner caesarean on 29/3 which is why I joined this group.

How are you all those who are still pregnant? I'm really struggling at 37 weeks tomorrow. My two year old no longer naps and if I close my eyes she shouts 'wakey wakey'!

BadBadBeans · 12/03/2019 20:27

Thanks everyone!

@CaseofEllen on the sobbing front, I drove around the hospital for an hour and a quarter today trying to find a parking space and then some twunt overtook me and nabbed one just as I was about to have it. I cried SO MUCH that I had to pull over and put my hazards on. My whole face went tingly. I ended up having to park in a supermarket a quarter of an hour's walk from the hospital. And when I was waiting to cross a road, a car drove through a puddle and absolutely soaked me. (In fairness, I should have clocked that this was going to happen and stood further back.) I turned up to my appointment in the nick of time, wet and tearstained!

@Gronk27 Ooo enjoy Captain Marvel! I meant to organise a night out with DH before baby arrived. Don't think we're going to have time now... Never mind!

@Dalesgirl16 sounds like my two-year-old Grin. I sneaked a nap in yesterday by sitting him on my lap and turning on CBeebies. Got a few cheeky z's in while he was distracted by the TV!

Angelmiracle · 12/03/2019 21:36

You're welcome everyone. I created the new thread last night in case I would have forgotten.

@BadBadbeans so glad you have been reassured and things have worked out better than you anticipated! When is your ELCS again?

I've had about 4 people comment that I have that 'look about me' Grin and I'll be away soon haha.

You could be away any time too @Kee80 😊

It's only dawning on me I've been having Braxton hicks but didn't really know haha I just thought it was baby's back or bum just pushing into me πŸ˜‚

Contractions feel like waves I guess, they start high or low and then tighten up or down, in my experience. If they carry on when you move then they are real!

DH has gone to sleep already not feeling great.... He has 12 hours to buck up his ideas!!!! My afternoon nap, however, is meaning I am not sleepy in the slightest! Maybe it's eager anticipation for tomorrow

Angelmiracle · 12/03/2019 22:00

@Dalesgirl16 I've a 6yr old who is definitely past naps but I also get told off when I close my eyes on the sofa Hmm

Today was supposed to be more chilled out with a nap on the sofa before collecting DS at school but didnt happen. I have this idea I'd love to be well rested before things kick off 🀣

Checking in!

@Sictransitgloria @AssumeItWasSomethingClever I'm at the 'symptom spot' stage. Last night I had period pain and whenever I got up in the night I had it along with some mild backache. However when I got up and went to the toilet this morning (number two) it all disappeared. Was hoping it was the start of things to come. Will see what the next couple of days have in store!

Gronk27 · 12/03/2019 23:10

@caseofellen was hoping the film would let me relax and something might happen but feel the same, low down movements, lower back pain (I do keep doing housework though!) and the odd twinge.

@mistakenholiday thanks I feel better now. There’s a lot of family stuff going on at the moment which is unlike us and bad timing, I know my Mom will be there for me when she’s here. I just could have done with a bit more support today-although I didn’t say anything mainly because I thought I might burst into tears!

@badbadbeans thanks! I did enjoy it. I wasn’t sure if I’d make it!

I’m started to get the β€˜any sign’ β€˜is she here’ texts.

ballanj · 13/03/2019 04:11

@Sictransitgloria @AssumeItWasSomethingClever @Gronk27 well turns out I was tuned in as my waters have gone and in spectacular fashion. Called triage and I'll go in at 11:30 in the morning to confirm and then it's a waiting game! Some mild period type pain and backache at the moment.

Said to my other half maybe this means I won't need a sweep now haha!

CaseofEllen · 13/03/2019 04:16

@ballanj how exciting! Won't be long now Grin

SoBoredOfWaiting · 13/03/2019 05:21

Hi all! After a week of latent labour, our little boy finally arrived at 39 weeks! He was born on Monday at 6am weighing 5lb 12oz 😊
We have been kept in hospital due to a few concerns over feeding but hoping to go home tomorrow.

Wineandchoccy · 13/03/2019 05:40

@SquirtlesMumAgain Good luck today can’t wait to hear your news Smile

How exciting @ballanj not long until you meet baby

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations

Jenfur · 13/03/2019 06:36

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations! Hope feeding improves for you and you get home soon.

@ballanj ooh good luck, won't be long now!

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 13/03/2019 06:37

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations!

@ballanj oooh I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly for you. Good luck.

We've woken up today to a freezing house and not hot water. Looks like our boiler has gone. ☹️ Not what we need with a baby that could come at any time. Really hoping it's a quick and cheap fix as we can't afford a massive pay out at the moment. I could honestly cry.

SquirtlesMumAgain · 13/03/2019 07:20

Congratulations @Soboredofwaiting - hope you get home soon.

Good luck @ballanj - hopefully things have naturally picked up by 11.30!

@assumeitwassomethingclever - hope someone can get out quickly and sort the boiler for you. Not what you need.

Thanks @wineandchoccy - woken up by a very excited DS that his sister is coming (though he has a horrible cough!!!) and have got a sore throat. The sooner she is out the sooner my body can fix itself!

MistakenHoliday · 13/03/2019 07:22

@ballanj that's so exciting! Fingers crossed for you!

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations! Hope everything goes smoothly in hospital and that you're home soon.

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever Oh no! What a rubbish way to start the day - especially with this weather. And the last thing you need right now is extra expense Sad

I've lost my mucus plug this morning (TMI) so am hoping something kicks off today or tomorrow. I'm 10 days over now and just want baby here, despite the sleepless nights and pain of labour I know are imminent!

MistakenHoliday · 13/03/2019 07:23

Oh and @SquirtlesMumAgain good luck today! Will be thinking of you!

ballanj · 13/03/2019 07:31

@MistakenHoliday hope things progress quickly and smoothly for you!

@SoBoredOfWaiting huge congratulations! Hope you are home really soon.

@SquirtlesMumAgain Very best of luck with your induction today.

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever Oh that's so annoying about the boiler. They always go at the worse possible times. Some consolation that it's not minus 4 outside. I hope it's a problem that can be solved relatively quickly and cheaply.

Angelmiracle · 13/03/2019 08:13

@SquirtlesMumAgain best wishes today for a smooth delivery πŸ’

@ballanj great news sending contraction dust your way!!

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations on your new baby boy πŸ’™

@Angelmiracle blissful ignorance lol!

@ballanj that blasted need to use the toilet gets me every time! Glad things are happening for you now - good luck!

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations! Glad things are looking good for you to go home today.

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever oh no - I hope it's a simple job.

@MistakenHoliday 🀞🀞🀞

Hermagsjesty · 13/03/2019 10:05

Just checking in to see these lovely babies arriving. Congratulations @soboredofwaiting and love and luck to everyone whose labours are imminent!!

CaseofEllen · 13/03/2019 12:10

@SoBoredOfWaiting congratulations! πŸ’™

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever sorry to hear about your boiler. How frustrating. I hope it's a quick and cheap fix! When ours last went it turned out the boiler pipe on the outside wall had slightly frozen, all we had to do was pour a kettle of water over it and restart boiler. Not sure if it's cold enough for that to be a problem now but worth a look?

@MistakenHoliday hope this is a sign that things are starting up for you! Good luck Smile

@SquirtlesMumAgain good luck for today! Not long now Smile

I have been having what I think are contractions since about 6.30 last night. They haven't been particularly regular but fairly painful when they've happened. Sorry for TMI but I've been to the toilet (no 2) a couple of times and that hasn't stopped them so I don't think it's a dodgy tummy! Feeling particularly nauseas this morning Hmm have a scan and clinic this afternoon as baby's growth had slowed right down a couple of weeks ago. Will see where that leads but feel like things are starting to happen for me so reluctant to accept a sweep/induction if offered ATM :/

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 13/03/2019 12:39

Thanks all. Apparently it's the input electrics rather than the actual boiler itself. 😫 no idea what that means cost wise but it's not sounding like it's going to be a quick fix. Fingers crossed baby stays nice and warm in utero in the meantime!

march19 · 13/03/2019 12:47

Pleased to announce our daughter, Tamsin, was born last night on her actual due date. Labour and delivery did not quite go to plan, resulting in a surgical delivery after a long labour and narrowly avoiding an emergency c-section. She weighs 7Ibs 10.5 ounces, and is absolutely adorable. Just waiting to go home now but because I had a catheter, I need my urine output monitored before they will let me go.
