Hellooooo Smile

happydays00 · 08/03/2019 08:47

Guys I've just read that placenta chat whilst eating my breakfast Envy what the...? My DD was up half the night, I'm at my wits end with her! Hoping for a nice relaxed day today!

Easterbuns1 · 08/03/2019 08:55

Cheers for being organised Stroan!

boodles101 · 08/03/2019 08:56

I don't mind the placenta chat. I didn't get to see mine last time as I had an assisted birth with a spinal block. I'm hoping things are different second time around and I'd be interested in having a look at it!

TwittleBee · 08/03/2019 09:05

Thanks for the new thread! Getting through these fast!

Placenta was probably one of the least gross thing about D's birth!

So on holiday in France visiting my DH's family and for every meal there is pate, soft cheese, cure meat, tuna and wine! Luckily there's other things on offer too but DH's family don't understand the risks of these foods so they keep saying I'm not eating enough or well enough for the baby

jazzyjellybeans · 08/03/2019 09:10

Thanks for being so organised @Stroan!

12+1 today. NHS scan next week. I had a bit of a scare a few days ago. Paid for a private scan and everything looks ok. Hope everyone is good

Dipsy77 · 08/03/2019 09:12

The last thread filled up fast !! Currently still in bed with headache and feeling so sick when will this end I felt great week 11 and now 12+5 and feel awful and so tired it's unbelievable Hmm

boodles101 · 08/03/2019 09:15

jazzyjellybeans 12+1 today too. I've got my scan on Sunday and I'm just so anxious to get it over with!

BBell2 · 08/03/2019 09:26

Placemarking.
I'm feeling a bit fed up today, I'm 12weeks tommorrow and scans a weeks away, I must have had my first earlier last time, I dont remember feeling so nervous or impatient! Or like I cant talk to anyone. Maybe it's that I'm seeing so many collegues and mates this week that I would normally tell, bad timing!

Stroan · 08/03/2019 09:32

@twittlebee that would be torture for me! Although I think the list of recommended foods to avoid is different in different countries so must be very confusing.

I'm 12 weeks tomorrow. My scan is Wednesday Bbell it is dragging.

I've stopped feeling nauseous the past 2 days and now of course I'm worried something is wrong after willing it away for the last 9 weeks!

Stroan · 08/03/2019 09:33

Just arrived at hospital for a consultant appointment to review my HG meds. Best thing about morning appointments is when you see a new Dad arrive at hospital to pick up their shiny new baby 😍

We still haven't told many people at all. Even our dc! Everything seems really full on atm and it just isn't coming up!

DustyDoorframes · 08/03/2019 09:36

Haha twittle are they French? The rules are so different in each country. In Italy they don't eat salad when pregnant and have a blood test to see if they can eat cured meat. (And also only have vitamins on prescription as the general diet is so much better than here...)
Thanks for the thread stroan!
Oh dipsy that sounds grim!
Yay to all the good scans! boodle not long now... and argh to the extra waiting bbell.
I'm 10+5, and I think my symptoms are lifting a bit, I definitely seem a bit more functional. Still pretty wiped out and nauseous though!

Karigan195 · 08/03/2019 10:07

Woken up with a horrid sore throat. I hate getting colds at the best of times.

IVEgottheDECAF · 08/03/2019 10:31

Honey, lemon and paracetamol karrigan Brew

boodles101 · 08/03/2019 11:00

BBell that's exactly how I feel. Don't remember being like this last time. I'm really trying not to think about it.
My best friend announced her pregnancy to all of our friends the other day too so I'm just eager to know all is ok with mine.

Fortheloveofscience · 08/03/2019 11:11

@stroan thanks for the new thread. And yes, the piriton seems to have helped.

Dating scan this morning showed a lovely little baby, 12+1 so I’ve gained a day. Asleep at first so measurements were super-easy, then she jiggled my tummy and it started wriggling but settled back down to sleep again quickly. So surreal to see an actual baby in there.

NT measurement was only 1.2 as well Smile

waiting4arainbow · 08/03/2019 11:46

Thanks for the new thread.. just marking my place 🙂
Nothing new to report here still getting sickness. 14 weeks and still no scan.. x

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 08/03/2019 11:57

Morning all! Had first scan this morning with NIPT and lovely to see our little wriggler for the first time. Measuring a few (6!) days ahead so they put me at 12+5. NHS dating scan next Thursday so may still change. Just waiting for results now.

Megan2018 · 08/03/2019 12:10

Thanks for the new thread!
Well done to those who’ve had scans too.
Good luck with NIPT results @BridgetJonesDaiquiri

I’m 13+1 today, feeling quite a lot more energetic which is good. Been for a ride this morning as have a day off, getting really quite uncomfortable in the abductors though when riding so that’s a worry!

DustyDoorframes · 08/03/2019 12:13

Yay science and bridget re scans!
Ouf waiting that's late! When is it booked???

KnobJockey · 08/03/2019 13:12

It was my scan today here too, everything healthy, only one in there! Measuring 12+3 so now due on the 17th September.

Brilliant news to all of those who have had good scans today!

Astret · 08/03/2019 13:32

Happy new thread!
I'm absolutely knackered today, and starting to fret about maternity wear again. And eating crisps. Maybe I shouldn't eat the crisps if I don't want to buy as much stuff!

LaBelleSausage · 08/03/2019 13:46

Thanks for the new thread. Got my scan on Monday and hopefully I’ll be participating a bit more after that. I don’t know why, I’m just feeling really anxious about it.
I’ve been having cramping type pains today which I’m sure are stretching pains, but they’re just making me nervous.
No spotting so I should just assume all is well.
Hope everyone is doing ok
