Sorry, can't think of a more exciting title!

Such a chatty bunch that we're racking up the threads now. Can anyone share the link for the Google Docs spreadsheet? The one I tried didn't work.

Thanks!

20+4 here now and feeling lots of movement but can't feel anything from the outside yet so DH hasn't felt him yet. I think if you were pressing firmly in the right place at right time you might feel something but the little monster doesn't kick in the same place twice and seems to stop whenever we start feeling from outside!
Also lots of weird aches and pains and massive boobs. Last time I slept more than about 4 hours a night was about 20 weeks + 4 days ago. Everyone keeps saying make sure you're getting plenty of sleep now. Mmmm yes I wish!

BeckyButterfly · 11/02/2019 22:36

@Trying2bemum I’ve always wanted to try CBT but never really had the chance. I’m looking forward to trying pregnancy yoga, just need to be brave enough to go on my own!

StargazyDrifter · 11/02/2019 23:58

Regina I hope your wait passes as quickly as possible. You're so nearly there! For what it's worth, my NIPT results were meant to be 10 working days but we're ready in a week, so more like 5 working days. Fingers crossed for you!

Onestep2 Nooo! I was so rooting for you guys reading the boiler post. Best of luck with it. Easy for me to say, but it will be a funny story one day.

TwinkleDay glad the scan was positive as far as they could tell. Tinker Fred already showing you who's boss! 🙈 Hope the wait passes quickly.

Kentishgal little wave to you, if you're reading, hope you're on the mend!

I'm another one with rapidly expanding boobies. No implants, but mine also feel hard sometimes.

I had a visit to the pregnancy emergency room at my hospital this evening. All was fine. Have had a deep and persistent, increasing pain in my left side that hadn't shifted for 24+ hours so thought I'd have it checked as it was a tiny bit like what I'd read preeclampsia pain can be, plus I had a two day aura migraine last week and have been feeling generally unwell. No cause determined for the pain but paracetamol advised and dihydrocodine (!!!), a low dose but still an opoate, prescribed in caae it gets worse. I think, if it does. I'll be heading back in! All the other tests were fine and we heard a lovely heartbeat that sounded like galloping horses. I have low ketones (sp?) in my urine and have been told to eat and drink more to fix it. Easier said than done with hypermesis but I will. Doctor thinks I've pulled a muscle in a bad way, possibly partly linked to dodgy spine. Wasn't worried as left side doesn't have many important organs!!

More generally, she said aches are common, even painful ones, as long as no bleeding, general unwellness or temperature/shivers. On the right side it can be more things - appendicitis, liver etc so to be taken more seriously. Also said movements can be as late as 22 weeks which was reassuring.

OneMoreWish · 12/02/2019 02:18

Hello

I'm 17 and 3 and not felt any movement yet. It's my second dc so I'm a little disappointed as thought I'm you could feel baby earlier with second baby ... never mind one day I'll learn the art of patience!

I've had headaches since Thursday night. I spoke to my midwife but not blurring of eyesight or bleeding or temp so she said just monitor. I'm still having occasional brown blood when I wipe which is still worrying me.

I pulled my back on Friday and it's still quite painful with sciatica down both legs so I'm going to doctors tomorrow and might ask them to check blood pressure and how I am as I've also had sore throat for about a month now.

I'm sure my last pregnancy was easier lol

I'm sticking on here and prefer the anonymity as work still don't know I'm pregnant

I'm team yellow and feel so clueless with names

BeckyButterfly · 12/02/2019 07:39

@StargazyDrifter and @OneMoreWish sorry to hear you both haven’t been feeling well. I’m pleased everything when okay at the hospital though StargazyDrifter, you did the right thing going to get checked out.

Yukka · 12/02/2019 10:19

Hi Ladies, not been on since last week, lots to catch up on. @reginaphalange hope your results come soon, hang in there. So many people have said how out of sync the NHS test is to the Harmony test. I guess its just a matter of funding before everyone could get the DNA test on the NHS and remove any worry.

@HchyScott my friend recommended the same lady, apparantly she does some CD's or downloadable files that yoou can listen to. She said she kepy hearing her calm voice during birth. I've booked on a course in May.

Sorry to those who haven't been feeling great :( its a bit rubbish but I'm sure the good part of pregnancy will arrive soon.

We're doing ok here. Just had midwife over (community) and we listened to the heartbeat, she got my DH to record it on his phone so we can play it back. Glad to say midwife was just lovely. Told me to text or call her anytime if I get anxious about how baby is doing, she said she can always nip in for 5 mins when she's in the area. Really grateful.

Oh I don't know if this is new or not, but H&M Babywear popped up on an add and I had a look last night, they've got loads of lovely newborn stuff, and lots to cater for those of us in Team Yellow. Lovely pastel greens and sunshine patterns and animal patterns etc. Good prices, like 5 vests/onesies for £9.99 all 100% cotton.

Kentishgal · 12/02/2019 11:26

Thank your for the wave stargazydrifter. I've been catching up on all the lovely news. reginaphalange89 I hope you hear some good news soon. Still poorly in bed here - might need to go back to gp tomorrow. And just to make matters worse, on Saturday, I climbed onto a chair to switch the central heating over and fell backwards onto the stone floor. Can't walk on ankle, have a v. bruised bum and in agony with ribs/back - went to maternity triage and they found heartbeat though so hopefully all ok. I was just laying on floor crying until my husband came home, with my 3yr old drawing me pictures to "make me happy". I'm soooo clumsy!!

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/02/2019 12:16

Oh jeez @Kentishgal, hope you're ok! Doesn't sound like you're having much luck 🙈

3rd pregnancy, first one I've not been awful with sickness and honestly, it's the one I'm enjoying least (so far anyway!) . Just want these results to hurry up now it's completely clouding any excitement!

Also really struggling with my almost 2 year old 🙈 have a nurse coming out to see her this week and possibly speech therapists etc . On the upside the HV mentioned requesting a 2 year old nursery placement which would be amazing 🙈 really think she needs some time away from me as she's literally with me 24/7 ! But we just can't afford to pay for a private nursery. Losing the will to live a little

HchyScott · 12/02/2019 12:25

@Kentishgal you are definitely due some good luck, bloody hell you’ve been through it!! Really hope you feel better really soon x

Kentishgal · 12/02/2019 12:32

Thank you both - I just think it's a run of bad luck! But as my husband reminds me, people have far worse things happen! Regina i was told 7 working days - I had the test on the Wednesday and got the results the following Wednesday - so hopefully yours will be this week. I got obsessed with pressing refresh on my email!

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/02/2019 13:18

I'm hoping so ! I had mine Wednesday night so they won't have been sent off til Thursday morning , hoping it won't take 7 working days as that's potentially not til next week 🙈
Yeah I'm definitely obsessed with refreshing my emails. They said I'll likely get a phone call if it's bad news, my phone rang this morning and I swear my heart stopped ! Luckily it was just the HV about my other wee one. Hoping it'll be tomorrow , I just can't take another day of this anxiety 😣

Trying2bemum · 12/02/2019 16:42

hchyscott Thanks for the recommendation, will look out for that one

beckybutterfly your midwife should be able to refer you for psychological support if you feel you need it. It sounds like you are managing well though xx

Sorry you've had this worry stargazey, that pain sounds really scary. I've got ketones too but feel like I don't stop eating, so it's probably not enough fluid for me! Hope it eases off quickly

onemorewish I've been struggling with headaches too - sorry I don't have much advice but acupuncture has helped me in the past. Sounds like you are having a rough time, hope it gets better

Yukka I just had my midwife check up too :) It was lovely listening to the heartbeat. Thanks for the tip on H&M - will need yellow / vanilla options!

Oh kentish what a nightmare! Glad you are okay. your 3 year old sounds very thoughtful

Regina you are really going through it at the mo, make sure you are looking after yourself. This kind of stress is so hard to cope with - do whatever you can to take your mind off it xx

Had midwife check this morning, lovely to hear the heartbeat. I need to drink more apparently, and my iron levels are low, so lots of iron-rich food for me. Will be 17 weeks tomorrow, no movement yet but bump is more prominent now :)

BeckyButterfly · 12/02/2019 17:12

@Trying2bemum midwife referred me to a consultant but I had an appointment with her and she just made recommendations to my GP who I haven’t heard anything from so not sure if I was supposed to get in touch with them about it..! I see my consultant again at 20 week scan which isn’t for another three weeks then she said she won’t see me again after that. Not quite sure what the point was of having a consultant really.

My midwife said they don’t listen for a heartbeat till 24 weeks so just got to keep waiting for the 20 week scan to check everything is alright in there.

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 12/02/2019 17:39

Anyone planning on going on a baby moon before little one arrives? Was thinking of going away in May but realistically I think will be better to go in April before 28 weeks

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/02/2019 17:47

Anyone planning on going on a baby moon before little one arrives?
I wish ! 😭 Not gonna happen with 2 other kids. You should absolutely do it if you can !

ReginaPhalange89 · 12/02/2019 17:47

Actually thinking about it , I haven't been abroad since I was pregnant with my first in 2011 😭 how depressing

BeckyButterfly · 12/02/2019 17:58

I think me and the hubby are just going to have a little getaway in this country. It is too expensive to go away abroad in the school hols 😩

Squ1ggle · 12/02/2019 18:08

We're going to London for a few days in early April as a last little trip just us and ds. Think it will mainly be spent in the natural history museum as both of them are obsessed with dinosaurs (I'll be eating cake in the coffee shop)

FuzzyPixel · 12/02/2019 18:12

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts DH is keen to go away somewhere in April. We went abroad in September, and are due another trip soon really. However, we're in the middle of finishing decorating two rooms, and are due to start on our master bedroom, nursery and bathroom so funds seem a little limited. That doesn't really seem to put DH off from trying though!

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 12/02/2019 18:12

This is our first so I feel like we should take full advantage, and go while we can.

HchyScott · 12/02/2019 18:14

@ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts I’ve insisted we have a couple of days by the seaside even though we absolutely can not afford it. It’s the last time ever it’ll just be the two of us so I think its so important. Not comfortable going abroad when pregnant plus couldn’t afford it so we are going to Weymouth for a couple of days, never been but had recommendations as it’s still a lovely quaint seaside town. We are going in May 😊

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 12/02/2019 18:14

@FuzzyPixel we've got got much work to do on our house before baby comes, but I think we need to prioritise going away Grin

FuzzyPixel · 12/02/2019 18:19

Haha, I love it @ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts. Grin I'm usually the prioritise going away type, but I honestly cannot imagine the house not being finished when the baby comes along. DH keeps saying that he only gets a limited time off of week when the baby is here, and he wants to make sure he can spend it with the baby rather than painting.

I think DH is keen that we try and get a mid-week break somewhere though. When we were in the Maldives we saw a few babymooners and I just couldn't imagine being pregnant in that heat!

Trying2bemum · 12/02/2019 18:33

@BeckyButterfly that does seem like a bit of a waste of time. Shame they don't listen in - it's strange some do and some don't xx

@ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts we've just booked Lake Como for our wedding anniversary in April. If poss I'm gonna try and have one more getaway

TwinkleDay · 12/02/2019 19:53

Evening ladies, sorry to hear some of you aren't feeling well.. I too am getting clumsier I recon I drop at least 6 things a day at the moment.. it's only a matter of time before things become lost to the floor lol

Got another scan booked in for Fred/ricka for two week time when I will be almost 23 weeks!

We had a loads of lovely holidays last year... biggest one driving round Belgium, 24hr motor racing events, and finally staying in Bruges for a couple of nights in a luxury hotel with cava and chocolate at breakfast so that was about a month before TTC.. we are also going away in March to wales for a lazy week but might book something up for a couple of nights near the coast- Norfolk in May on a bank holiday weekend.. and then we are on holiday in Devon in September with little one.

OH suggested going to have a look at campervans and caravans as refuse to take babies on planes until the kids can actually remember the holiday so probably about 9 years until I get on a plane again .. and hate being stuck with babies wailing for 4+ hours. So that could be interesting.
