Sorry, can't think of a more exciting title!

Such a chatty bunch that we're racking up the threads now. Can anyone share the link for the Google Docs spreadsheet? The one I tried didn't work.

Thanks!

@ReginaPhalange89 from my experience I think you'll hear back Wednesday. Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you

ReginaPhalange89 · 11/02/2019 13:20

Thanks @wombatron !

Onestep2 · 11/02/2019 13:56

Just catching up on all your pram chat. We have went for the Venecci 3 in one travel system. been having a play about with it and cant believe there will be a real baby in it in just a few more months.

ive spent the whole morning in tears, boiler has broken down and had no heating or hot water all weekend. Called insurance people at 9am this morning, to find out im 3 hours short of my 28 cooling off period as we renewed and changed all our insurances so they wont cover us at all. so if i had phoned at 1min past 12 i would have been covered. THREE HOURS. Woman was a total fucking ice bitch. even said i would call back after 12 and she wasnt for having it. ended up crying on the phone. then was crying on phone to DH. (tired and pregnant = tears tears tears)

anyway long story short got another guy who is a friend of DH who will come out but he is away working up north so cant come until friday. DH is also working away till friday. SO im off to stay ay my mums again for the week. HAPPY MONDAY.

sorry..... needed to rant! lol

in good news, 20 week scan is on friday lol

Random question.. does anyone on here have breast implants? I have and my boobs have got humungous and have gone so hard. Trying to gage whether this is normal. 1 is a lot harder than the other. Also curious to what the hell they will look like after I've had the baby ConfusedHmm

wombatron · 11/02/2019 17:07

@ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts meeeeee!
Mine are bigger and my nipples have changed but other than being sore no change in how they feel yet. How many weeks are you?

Jxtina86 · 11/02/2019 17:29

Just catching up - saw someone tagged me yesterday about movements but can't find who it was now! For the last week it was only late afternoon or evening I felt anything and usually when I was sat still for a while. However it's ramped up a notch today and been feeling it more frequently and throughout the day. Sometimes I think it's more likely gas as it's a similar feeling (for me anyway) but when it's quite strong, I think it's definitely baby bubbling away. I was very sceptical at what it would feel like, but it definitely feels like bubbles popping or being flicked from the inside lol. Very odd but lovely at the same time!

All the pram talk is amazing- learning so much! We've got our 20 week scan next Thursday but we probably won't have a chance to do any proper looking till mid March due to weekends being taken up with DIY for the nursery!

TwinkleDay · 11/02/2019 18:02

Hi all, no we didn't find out what we are having, baby was in a very awkward position for measurements though brain, heart and kidneys measures lovely. The photo got today were not very good so once again have to go back in a couple of weeks to do the same again and another appointment which I am a bit disappointed about, but the lady was prodding and poking my tummy and I actually feel like i have internal bruising now... :( and the more she prodded baby just curled up and had foot to its face... I swear if she prodded anymore she would of got the full wrath of my farts, god they have been awful ever since... sorry tmi ... thank you all for kind words this morning xx

SnailorSwift · 11/02/2019 18:57

I'm so far behind - forgot my password, then forgot which email address and couldn't log in 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm finding these last couple of weeks are going soooooo slow!

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 11/02/2019 19:22

@wombatron I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow. I need to go bra shopping again. I'm bursting out of the 34Gs I brought not that long ago! I feel like my scars are being massively stretched!

wombatron · 11/02/2019 19:52

Welcome back snailor

@ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts I had no idea what size I've gone up to. I've switched to maternity bras which are M. Away with you underwire! Away with you!!

Capybaras · 11/02/2019 20:21

@wombatron that's a shame you didn't get to find out the sex. Glad everything they managed to check was good. On the positive side you get to see baby again really soon!

I think we may have the same issue as when we've had our scans baby has wriggled away as soon as the sonographer applies any pressure. And same when the midwife was using the Doppler!

Do you have to have a full bladder for the 20 week scan? I forgot to ask my midwife at my 16week appointment and my appointment letter doesn't say!

TwinkleDay · 11/02/2019 20:25

@Capybaras the lady said I had the fullest bladder she had every seen for a 20 week scan so told me to go and empty it lol... yes my pelvic floor exercises have worked.. been doing them since I was about 14 lol

Needs to be done again before 26th Feb... for goodness sake baby fred this best not be the start of something little terror 💗

wombatron · 11/02/2019 20:25

Not meeee @Capybaras Grinwrong pregnant person

BeckyButterfly · 11/02/2019 20:27

I think my boobs are starting to get a bit bigger now, they hadn’t changed at all which I found strange. When I was pregnant last year they were really sore and got quite a lot bigger even though I was only pregnant for 7/8 weeks.

@TwinkleDay shame about he awkward position but good to hear that all is looking healthy in there 😊 I feel like my 20 week scan is so far away still! These weeks are really dragging.

I’m getting a little fed up of people at work commenting on how “huge” my belly is at the minute. It’s not even that big and I have terrible posture due to curvature of the spine which I’ve always had and that makes my tummy protrude more than other people’s anyway.

Trying2bemum · 11/02/2019 20:45

Hang in there Regina you're doing really well xx everything crossed for you

Onestep oh no what a nightmare! Tiredness = tears for me too at the mo

Doughnuts I don't have implants but my god my boobs have got so big it's ridiculous. I feel quite self conscious. Tried to get into a D cup yesterday and looked obscene. Hope they don't get any bigger!

Sorry you couldn't tell twinkle - little monkey

Becky that's just so not what you need to hear, people are idiots xx

Will be 17 weeks Wednesday and not getting movement yet I don't think. Had a reassurance scan on Saturday and took my mum which was lovely. We could see baby drinking - little mouth moving and fluid going down filling the stomach. Amazing!!

Trying2bemum · 11/02/2019 20:46

Meant to ask about insomnia - is anyone else still struggling with this? I wake at 4am and don't really get back to sleep properly pretty much every night Sad am so tired

Jxtina86 · 11/02/2019 20:48

@Capybaras sonographer at 12 week scan said I didn't need a full bladder for 20 week. I didn't get a letter as had to book it myself so just going by what he said!

TwinkleDay · 11/02/2019 20:53

@BeckyButterfly thank you, we aren't planning in finding out still team yellow here .

I advise not to have a full bladder however I didn't see for 1 hour 25 mins and had well over a pint to drink with lunch so that was interesting..

ReginaPhalange89 · 11/02/2019 20:53

I got my 20 week scan letter today and it says to come with a "comfortably full bladder" !

BeckyButterfly · 11/02/2019 20:54

@Trying2bemum I’m 17 weeks Wednesday too and no movement here. I can’t wait for movement, I’m hoping it’ll ease my anxiety a bit. I’ve been extremely anxious this weekend, overanalysing every little ache and pain.

@Trying2bemum I think it has been around 3 weeks now since I have had a decent nights sleep. I can’t get comfortable on my side at all then even if I do drift off I wake constantly with bad dreams or just for no real reason at all. Driving me insane! I’ve always had trouble sleeping because of my anxiety. I woke in the early hours of this morning having a full blown panic attack which I can only assume was brought on by a nightmare.

Trying2bemum · 11/02/2019 21:09

Becky so sorry you're so anxious. I've battled with anxiety and terrible panic attacks in the past, been through several courses of citalopram and CBT. Largely stay on top of it now but I think it never fully leaves you. I do Headspace daily and am trying to do yoga at least weekly. Acupuncture also helps relax me.

I've been getting lots of aches and pains too - sometimes sharp, sometimes deep and crampy. I think it's all normal - our bodies are changing so rapidly xxx

BeckyButterfly · 11/02/2019 21:18

@Trying2bemum I’ve never had any kind of therapy apart from telephone appointments which I found a bit useless! I usually take Sertraline and Trazadone but have stopped since falling pregnant. Generally I’m managing alright, it just tends to be a nighttime that I struggle a bit. I’m starting pregnancy yoga tomorrow hopefully as I used to do yoga and quite enjoyed it. I’ve also been doing aqua aerobics which I enjoy 😊

I definitely experience the same aches and pains but you are right about our bodies changing rapidly.

Capybaras · 11/02/2019 21:23

Oops sorry @TwinkleDay /@wombatron can I blame baby brain? Grin

Will go with a moderately full bladder then - I'm quite a thirsty person and drink water to help calm my Nerves when anxious so will probably have a bit in there anyway! Mines next week now - excited to see the baby. Feeling movement regularly now in the evenings so it's nice to know baby is ok in there!

Trying2bemum · 11/02/2019 21:23

If you can get some CBT I found it really helpful - there are also some good books you can try yourself. If you can get into regular meditation it really can help. Hope you enjoy pregnancy yoga ☺️

HchyScott · 11/02/2019 21:49

Today I’ve read 3/4 of my hypnobirthing book and I’m feeling really really positive! Would recommend “your baby your birth” by Hollie de Cruz if anyone is considering hypnobirthing like me. I suffer with anxiety in general but since being pregnant I’ve (touch wood!) been okay, particularly as it’s health anxiety I predominantly suffer from. I was pretty terrified of birth and I know it’s totally counterproductive and I need to change that mind set... can already feel a change in how I feel about it!
