Sorry, can't think of a more exciting title!

Such a chatty bunch that we're racking up the threads now. Can anyone share the link for the Google Docs spreadsheet? The one I tried didn't work.

Thanks!

Sounds good Yukka , a lot of info to take in. Nice move on the consultant swap

Blueeyed sorry to hear work are being shit. Hope everything's alright with the consultant - if it was urgent you'd think they would have got you in right away

Am 16 weeks today Smile have booked a reassurance scan for the weekend to see little one. Struggling this week with nausea and fatigue - think I've got a bug as I've been hot and cold and achey. Missed yoga last night! Sad

BeckyButterfly · 06/02/2019 15:49

Hi everyone! Busy day for my today. Went for a scan at the hospital this morning (my consultant booked me in for an extra one just for reassurance due to my anxiety disorder) Midwife said all is looking good and growth is spot on for where I’m at (16 weeks today)

My other half asked her if she could tell us the gender so she had a little look and says she suspects girl from what she could see. Baby was in an awkward position so she said to get confirmation at 20 weeks but she was pretty sure so that’s exciting!

On my way to the hospital I got a call from work to say that they had sent a kid home with suspected slap cheek which means I’m not allowed back to work until they confirm that isn’t what it is or until there are no more cases for a few days. Cheeky few days off!

After the scan, me and the hubby went to Mothercare and another local shop to look at prams. Definitely between the Ickle Bubba V4 which has a really good deal on at the minute or the Oyster 3 which is quite a bit more expensive for what you get.

Sorry for the essay!! Hope you are all well.

@Snailorswift - only just. I had 3 mc's so was sent for tests, diagnosis confirmed 15th November ( 2 tests 3 months apart) and found out I was pregnant again 4 days later. The first week was manic in terms of getting treatment - like who gives the prescription, where do I collect it from etc. Then I started it at week 5. I'm a 'weak positive' and have no history of DVT - my symptom is miscarriage - so I suspect your plan will be at least the same as mine. Yes consultant was deff switched on, very much like 'don't worry I've done this before' which is the first person I've met that had that confidence with this condition.

I believe they often now take you off heparin at 36 weeks to help prevent bleeding issues like you had. Be good for you to get a plan in 2 weeks. Whats you're due date?

Great News @beckybutterfly really pleased for you, and a few cheeky days off to boot!

Kentishgal · 06/02/2019 17:31

I'm sorry I've not posted for a bit - I have been keeping up to date. I've just been poorly - gp has now referred me to hospital as concerned about pneumonia or sepsis. And yes likely I have broken a rib again. Fingers crossed all ok. Just been a bit tearful about it today.

BeckyButterfly · 06/02/2019 17:45

@Kentishgal I hope the hospital get you sorted out. Thinking of you and sending love x

Giraffe888 · 06/02/2019 18:21

That doesn’t sound good @kentishgal, hope you’re ok x

Yukka · 06/02/2019 18:23

@Kentishgal hope they sort you out quickly. it is miserable to be ill at the best of times x

ReginaPhalange89 · 06/02/2019 19:16

Thanks for thinking of me ❤️ I have my Harmony appointment at 8.45pm so not long now, hoping they'll not see any markers on the scan and also hoping they'll have a look at the sex ! Will update later ❤️

Capybaras · 06/02/2019 20:56

Hope they find out what it is soon, and get on the way to sorting you out @Kentishgal - you must be feeling so poorly!

Hope it went well @ReginaPhalange89 and that hopefully finding out the sex was a little ray of sunshine to an otherwise anxious visit!

BirthdayKake · 06/02/2019 21:16

Hope all is ok @Regina xx

wombatron · 06/02/2019 21:45

Good luck Regina! fingers crossed it's good news! X

cravingmilkshake · 06/02/2019 21:51

Could be a 16.5 week baby bump or could be the 3 course Chinese meal I just ate Hmm

TwinkleDay · 06/02/2019 21:51

Anyone have any idea on the best baby baths... one with a support?

And also large swaddle blankets... ideally neutral ones with penguins on

ReginaPhalange89 · 06/02/2019 22:13

Update !
They couldn't tell anything from the scan which is kind of what I thought, so just have to be patient and wait for the blood results, which is 7 working days ! Going to be a long wait but we are feeling positive.

However we did get some lovely news ! We are having a little boy :') so chuffed ! We have two girls already so we were hoping for a boy , although we'd be happy with any as long as they're ok !

Went to Tesco on the way home and bought some sweet little baby grows with monsters on 😍 such a lovely change from girly things.

Thanks for all the support ladies ❤️ hope you're all doing well, I haven't caught up with the thread yet but will try to !

AIDE2424 · 06/02/2019 22:15

@twinkleday heard good things about the snhuggle bath! Gonna get one of these I think :)

@Reginaphalanage hope all went well keeping everything crossed xx

StargazyDrifter · 06/02/2019 22:57

blueeyedviking that's outrageous about the shitty boss! Really makes me angry. Hope DH is helping you look up all the right guidance on ACAS etc. Hold your nerve, they're in the wrong.

Regina lovely news that you saw the little one and found out the sex. Everything crossed for more good news.

Kentishgal so sorry you're still suffering. Hope the hospital sees you soonest and that they can find a quick cure for whatever it is. You sound remarkably together for having been poorly this long, it can't be easy.

BirthdayKake · 07/02/2019 08:11

Congratulations Regina, what a nice surprise after two girls! Hope everything goes well with your results xx

TwinkleDay · 07/02/2019 08:20

@ReginaPhalange89 a little boy! Congratulations! Xxx

Trying2bemum · 07/02/2019 08:36

Ahhh a little girl Becky ☺️ enjoy your days off xx

Sorry you've been so poorly Kentish that sounds awful, hope you're much better soon xx

Ahhhh a boy Regina that's lovely to add to your brood. Everything crossed for the blood results xx

Yukka · 07/02/2019 08:47

Ah fab news @Regina! fingers crossed for next week - I have a feeling your results are gong to be fine based on what everyone says about difference in accuracy from NHS x

Giraffe888 · 07/02/2019 09:05

Great news @reginaphalange89! X

We’ve got our gender scan this morning. I’m nervous and excited x

Kentishgal · 07/02/2019 10:46

Just posted this on the February thread...God knows how - I blame illness!

Kentishgal · 07/02/2019 10:46

Fingers crossed you'll hear positively soon Reginaphalange89. Discharged from hospital in the night - had bloods and chest xray - no pneumonia - just bad infection / early stage sepsis but have more antibiotics so fingers crossed. Gp suggested phoning midwife to arrange reassurance scan - spoke to her - she couldn't remember me and thought I'd already had the baby - she then said "just wait for your 20 week scan and you'll soon find out if baby is ok". Just sat in bed in tears. And work are being shitty. Might just pay for scan next week when I'll hopefully be feeling better. Sorry to bring the mood down, just want a rant!
