Sorry, can't think of a more exciting title!

Such a chatty bunch that we're racking up the threads now. Can anyone share the link for the Google Docs spreadsheet? The one I tried didn't work.

Thanks!

@cravingmilkshake I’m surprised they haven’t explained it more on the letter or offered to call you. I was told they were testing for it and they explained it as I’d need extra scans as baby might be small. I haven’t got it though so I can’t be much help, but I’d contact your midwife for a better explanation.

Hi little advice ladies,

I have a tooth that needs removing or root canal. It’s very painful keeping me up and making me feel rubbish. Already had a 1 lot of antibiotics for it which didn’t help and having to take paracetamol to numb the pain all of which I don’t like doing and worry what this is doing to Baby Pip. Anyways dentist wants to remove it BUT to do this needs to take “ a quick X-ray image” and will provide me with a lead apron to cover my belly. What your thoughts, I don’t want to harm baby with a X-ray ect but I don’t know if I can wait till July/August to have it removed and been in pain for all that time. 😩😩

wombatron · 26/01/2019 18:31

I think it's more dangerous to leave an infected tooth than the X-ray. I wouldn't have a problem with it as it's your mouth and they cover your belly (different if it was a chest X-ray) but it's a personal thing.

AIDE2424 · 26/01/2019 18:38

@wombatron Thankyou, I feel the same but so many people say “ don’t have do this or that when your pregnant” and it worries me that I’m doing the wrong thing. I can’t wait to get it removed it’s so painful, and I don’t want to wish my whole pregnancy away just because I want a tooth removing xx

TheScaredyKat · 26/01/2019 18:40

This nub theory is interesting, I'm not sure I can see a nub in our photo to be honest. I can see what I thought was a leg, there might be a shadow above but I'm not sure.

@StargazyDrifter can't believe the midwife said baby is not viable until after 20 weeks! What century is she living in?!

I'm waiting until after pay day (next week) to get my first few maternity bits. I've been struggling on with my one pair of leggings and one pair of jeans that still fit!

DianaBlythe · 26/01/2019 18:50

@OneWish - hope you are ok, what a horrible scare for you.

Lovely bump photos. 17+5 here and still seem to look indeterminate as to whether it’s bump or mince pies! Seems to fluctuate quite a bit too, and I’m worried it’s too high up/got a kink in it/I’ve put on too much weight and will never lose it at all but also that it’s on the small side. Clearly being quite irrational!

To the people asking about sickness - I had been vomiting daily, it slowed around 15 weeks. I last threw up at 15+5. I thought it had stopped, hadn’t replaced my stash of towels in the car and ended up just vomiting in the footwell as I was going along the motorway. During the vomiting my boobs made a bid for freedom and I popped a button on my dress. So turned up at work covered in vomit with my boobs out. A real high point! Since then I have been OK though! Hope everyone starts feeling better soon.

Touch wood I’ve stopped feeeling lightheaded. I didn’t ride today because of this and I’ve hurt my shoulder.

Dh annoyed me today. Made my cry. I was feeling a bit down and told him how I’m not ready to be pregnant again (but late...) and am feeling wierd about everything changing (again). He said some things which upset me.

He has redeemed himself today though by buying me 1kg of haribo sour strawbs.

ReginaPhalange89 · 26/01/2019 19:11

@AIDE2424 sorry you're having bother with a tooth ! Toothache is the worst pain !

I'm a qualified dental nurse , honestly you're fine having an x-ray. They don't take routine x rays when pregnant but if it's just one when needed it's really not a problem . The dose is SO so low that it won't effect the baby

DianaBlythe · 26/01/2019 19:34

I will play photos too. 17+5.

July 2019 (thread 7)
AIDE2424 · 26/01/2019 19:42

Thanks @ReginaPhalange89!

I can’t remeber who said it on a previous thread that they like dinosaurs but Asda have some amazing baby stuff in with dinosaurs on xx

Giraffe888 · 26/01/2019 19:51

Where do you all look for names inspiration?

ReginaPhalange89 · 26/01/2019 20:00

@giraffe888 we've been looking through the official list of baby names listed in Scotland for the previous year! There are a LOT haha. So not really inspiration but we've been seeing what's been popular, going to try avoid anything in the top 50 if we can 🙈

AIDE2424 · 26/01/2019 20:44

@giraffe888 I’ve got my girls name and have done for years but boys names I haven’t a clue and can’t find one that stands out to me at all! I need inspiration too but not sure I’m looking in the right places ha xx

DianaBlythe · 26/01/2019 20:55

For a bit of fun there’s an app we found which is like tinder. Swipe left if you don’t like it and right if you do. If you and your DP both swipe right it goes on a combined list. Some of the names are a bit out there but a bit of fun.

More seriously I’ve been using the ONS lists. And paying a bit more attention in film credits and the like! Got a few ideas but really not there yet.

StargazyDrifter · 26/01/2019 21:10

Ooh what's the app, Diana? Sounds fun!

BirthdayKake · 26/01/2019 21:11

We've had our girl name picked out for a long time too. That app sounds ace though!

TwinkleDay · 26/01/2019 21:13

I'm going to have a walk around a cemetery... they always have lovely names there

Giraffe888 · 26/01/2019 21:20

The app does sound good!

We’ve looked at loads of lists. I’ve just looked at top 500 on bounty app and there’s only one boy name I like! But I’m worried it might become popular.

I want something not too ‘out there’ but not too popular either!

Will be easier once we know the sex x

Chinks123 · 26/01/2019 21:20

Haha @TwinkleDay that’s exactly what I’ve been doing!
Dp chose the name last time and it’s very modern, and I always wanted a vintagey name so I’m picking this time! My girls name this time is the name of a little old lady I used to look after at work, I love it.

Dp has vetoed most of my old man names..but I’ll find a way Grin

SnailorSwift · 26/01/2019 21:22

Got a letter today to say I'm rubella non-immune. Never knew this with DS 🤷🏼‍♀️
Did have my MMR as a child but apparently a small number of women test non-immune in pregnancy as antibodies have dropped over time.

Hope all ok and your getting plenty of rest @OneMoreWish

TwinkleDay · 26/01/2019 21:23

If it's a girl defo won't be a claire #off you fuck Claire lol

ememem84 · 26/01/2019 21:24

I want to name no2 either loxley (if a boy) or loveday (if a girl) dh has vetoed both of these. He has no taste

SnailorSwift · 26/01/2019 21:29

Also would love to know what the app is @DianaBlythe !

My Dsis is pregnant too and her and her DP are arguing over names already - she def needs that app 😂

Giraffe888 · 26/01/2019 21:51

I’ve found the app. It’s called baby name-find it together

Kentishgal · 26/01/2019 22:00

snailorswift I had this last time - I was immune the month before I fell pregnant (I happened to have a bupa assessment), immune at booking-in, but by 30 odd weeks I'd lost immunity - they just gave me an mmr jab before I left hospital. However, this time round, I mentioned it but it turns out the health trust doesn't even test for it anymore!
