So unfortunately I hopped on here too early. I'm only 4+4 and had some bleeding at work and just got a BFN. Wishing you all a very happy and healthy 9 months ahead xx

Catren · 17/02/2019 09:43

Sorry suki that's awful news. I hope you're feeling alright and can rest up. Best of luck xx

bowielove · 17/02/2019 12:00

Sorry to hear that Suki xx

Mikki001 · 18/02/2019 14:24

Hi everyone
Sorry suki, rest up. Sending ❤.

About me
37
6+2 with bump 3. Have a 8 and 5 year old.
Excited and also scared. Feeling like I am going backwards since my two are now in school. Stupid I know as bump was planned but I didn't think it would happen so soon.

Glitterandunicorns · 18/02/2019 16:34

Hey ladies, I've booked an early scan for Thursday when I'll be 8 weeks, as I had an MC/ blighted ovum last year.

Needless to say, the anxiety is REAL, but it's better to know.

I've been told it will be an abdominal scan. Does anyone know if you need to have a full bladder at that stage? The receptionist at the clinic didn't know and I'd hate to be turned away because the bladder isn't full enough!

I'm well aware I could just turn up with a full bladder and run to the bathroom beforehand if it's not necessary, but thought I may as well check to see if anyone knew!

Jenbot78 · 18/02/2019 19:13

Hello, can I join? I am 6+4 with my second. I got pregnant through a frozen embryo transfer and my daughter is through the fresh cycle that created it. So technically twins! My daughter is 22 months. I am FULL of anxiety as it is such a long road to get pregnant in the first place and to add to that I have had bleeding and spotting since my positive test. I was terrified about this and so booked a very early scan which I had yesterday (will have another one at the clinic next week.) I really prepared for the worst but turns out that everything OK but I have something called a Subchorionic Hematoma. It is like a small bleed in the uterus. Apparently it’s quite common but I’m still a nervous wreck! Hope everyone else doing OK. Just taking it a day at a one this end.

Jenbot78 · 18/02/2019 19:14

Oh and bowie love when I had my scan I was measuring 4 days behind at 5 weeks and 6 days. I spoke to my clinic and they said that this is within the normal range xx

Catren · 18/02/2019 20:31

Hi jenbot, welcome and congratulations! I think i remember you from the ivf boards 😊 i'm 6+2 with #2 after my third fet, i love the idea that your dcs will be belated twins! Sorry about the bleeding, you must have been so anxious. Glad it's all ok though!

bowielove · 18/02/2019 20:37

Thanks @jenbot78 I’m going to try to relax about it if I can. I’ve been having a bit of light spotting last week on and off but seem okay at the moment (I didn’t spot it bleed at all in my last pregnancy). This time round I had a few days of implantation too from 11dpo (that’s why I think I implanted then but I know that isn’t always necessarily the case). I’ve heard of that hematoma thing you have and it’s not supposed to be a bad thing. Someone called Charlie baba loves had it (on ytube). I like her videos - worth checking out to reassure you xx

GinMama1 · 18/02/2019 22:23

Hi @Jenbot78 hopefully we will have the same gap - my daughter is almost 22 months.

katmarie · 19/02/2019 16:14

Absolutely shattered and hormones all over the place today, nearly cried at work over something so trivial. Anyone else feeling a bit emotionally fragile?

Catren · 19/02/2019 22:45

Yep katmarie, i cried at a bird show at the zoo the other day! They were so majestic! 😂🙄

Jenbot78 · 21/02/2019 19:29

Hey catren yes I think i remember you too! How are everyone’s nerves? I am so anxious all the time. Every little cramp and twinge is setting me on edge and I still am having the odd bit of spotting. I find it all so exhausting. I don’t know whether this is an IVF thing or whether everyone feels this way in early pregnancy?! It is miserable!

Catren · 21/02/2019 22:01

I know what you mean jenbot, at this stage of my first pregnancy I was right as rain, dreaming about my definitely going to be fine baby. Which she was, but literally no stress at all not even at scans. This time round, after all this work to get here, I can't invest in it yet. I'm constantly knicker checking and wondering if my symptoms are still there. I've gotten used to the sore boobs but every now and then they get a jab by dd3yo and I'm like, oh yeah, there they are 😂. Jen when are you having your 7w scan? Mine's on tuesday 😖 i'm bricking it.

katmarie · 22/02/2019 08:03

Glad I'm not on my own with the emotional stuff. I feel like a right loon at the moment. The nausea has full on kicked in this morning too, I feel horrendous! But reassured at the same time lol!

h3r32h3lp · 22/02/2019 15:29

Congratulations everyone im 4w4d amd according to due date calculators im due oct 28th....i had my positive test last night and honestly didn't believe it...am i the only person who feels like their still going to come on at any minute....talk about being on edge....im just letting the bf think the next few days and take it in.....and they say we over react 😂

Catren · 24/02/2019 11:28

Almost had to sacrifice an entire bag of my progesterone and clexane drugs as a MASSIVE spider had taken up residence in there and frightened the life out of me.. 😫🕷

OD87 · 24/02/2019 14:49

Hi everyone, I'm brand new here. EDD Sept 29th. Scan date March 19th. Am so nervous, 1st baby. How come so many people are getting scans at 7-8 weeks? Is that being done privately? I am working outside of the UK at the moment so not even seeing midwife for the 1st time until March 14th....

Catren · 24/02/2019 21:46

Welcome OD, and congrats! Some of us are getting early scans as we're pregnant with ivf babies and it's part of the treatment to have a viability scan at 7 weeks. My first (now 3yo) was a naturally conceived pregnancy and i had to wait the standard 12 weeks for the scan. Sorry you're anxious, whats particularly worrying you?

katmarie · 25/02/2019 10:03

I'm having to wait till 12 weeks for my scan as well. It seems like forever. I have my booking in appointment through though, 11th March, so that feels like the next milestone. And I'll be 11+4 on mothers day so we've decided to tell my parents then as an extra mothers day surprise :) I can't wait!

Whowouldhavethoughtit · 25/02/2019 11:16

Hi all, sorry I went missing after asking about early scans!
I'm 7w6d today and we went for a scan. It was so quick but we saw the heart beat and it was definitely reassuring! Our little bean is 1.4cm and doing great ❤

October 2019!
HarryHarry · 25/02/2019 21:02

Hi everyone! I lost the thread for a while so I’ve got some catching up to do! Today was my first doctor’s appointment (7w6d) but the receptionist messed up the scheduling so I only had 10 minutes with her! I have to go back later this week which is annoying. We did however do a test to confirm that I am indeed pregnant! (I had started to think I had imagined it because I don’t have any symptoms except for extreme tiredness). I didn’t understand much of what my doctor said as we don’t speak each other’s languages very well, and tbh she seems a bit flaky and forgetful. (At one point she weighed me but I think she must have done it wrong as I came out nearly 2 stone heavier than every other scale I’ve been on! I was horrified! It can’t be right because I’m still in my usual size 10 clothes). She also said I had a bleeding cyst on my ovary but that it’s ‘fine’! So I’m now considering having an early scan as I need to know if the little one is OK in there!

Btw, does anyone else have major back and pelvis pain from carrying around their toddlers while pregnant? My very heavy 10 m/o doesn’t crawl or walk yet so I have to carry him a lot and it’s a nightmare!

Jenbot78 · 25/02/2019 21:07

Hi all I had a scan today too at 7+4 weeks. whowouldhavethoughtit nice to see the little heartbeat going like the clappers isn’t it?! Hematoma has shrunk too, so I’m pleased about that.

Jenbot78 · 25/02/2019 21:08

Good luck tomorrow catren!

Catren · 25/02/2019 22:12

Thanks jenbot! Congrats on all the positive early scan results too.

We've just come from ours, and all is well! Raging heart beat and in the right spot, measuring 1cm and I'm 7+2. Eeeee!
