P.s with my boy, I had very few symptoms. Often forgot I was pregnant. He's 9

With my girls, I knew for every waking second that I was pregnant (morning/ afternoon/ evening/ middle of the night sickness..etc)

Symptoms don't really mean anything IMO, I know (from the above) my body appears to react a little differently depending on the sex I'm carrying.

I'm saying try not to worry too much (she says as she continues to worry herself 😂)

Catren · 14/02/2019 00:13

Yep harry it's an internal one. Which after so many scans through the ivf process i literally don't even notice! But i must remember it's not normal so be so comfortable getting up in the stirrups for a wand to be popped up there.

GinMama1 · 14/02/2019 07:43

Morning ladies. Tentatively joining you as I got impatient and POAS today. Had intended to tell DH as a V Day surprise tonight but couldn't wait and told him anyway.

I'm 4+3 and already feeling a bit nauseous. I have a DD who is 21 months. I've also organised my sister's hen party for this weekend 😬

I had an early scan last time and plan to do the same around the 7/8 week mark.

HarryPottersSecretSister · 14/02/2019 10:16

@GinMama1 aw huge congratulations!
🎉

I am not envious of your hen weekend! 😭

GinMama1 · 14/02/2019 10:37

@HarryPottersSecretSister I know! Not sure how I'm going to manage. Hoping this timing works out ok though and that I can have my 12 week scan before the actual wedding where I have to squeeze into a bridesmaid's dress!

HarryPottersSecretSister · 14/02/2019 11:58

Fingers crossed you do! GinMama

Is anyone else insatiably thirsty?
I tend to drink a lot of water generally but this is bordering on ridiculous.

coconutlatte44 · 14/02/2019 21:30

Hi everyone, thanks again for your advice the other day, have calmed down a bit and realized I'm pretty sure my husband is trying to protect both of us from worst case scenarios by not getting too excited this early on, which I totally understand!

I'm feeling ok overall, went for a jog yesterday which was fine, but today at work was getting stressed easily and found myself out of breath whenever I moved quickly around the building which caught me off guard as I'm often dashing around the school and up and down stairs with boundless energy! I might need to slow myself down a bit.

How is everyone else doing today? Welcome to @GinMama1 and congrats!

Catren · 15/02/2019 06:37

Glad you're feeling a bit better about things coconut.

I'm also feeling really thirsty! Can't get enough to drink. And keep cleaning. I remember the nesting urge from last time but this is a bit early.. I've been telling dd3yo that i have a sore tummy so she needs to be gentle, and she's taken to rubbing my tummy and giving it kisses, which is so gorgeous. Looking into maternity clothes but must hold back until 12 weeks!

2018isanewyear · 15/02/2019 10:14

May I join tentatively please? Im 30 and pregnant for the second time with hopefully my first child. Had a miscarriage last March at 8+2 after seeing a heartbeat at 6+4.

found out I was pregnant a year to the day from the first time. I am due a year and a week after my first pregnancy (all feels very surreal)

My anxiety is through the roof but today got 3+weeks on a clear blue digital so starting to feel real. I'm 5+5 today and have my first midwife appointment a week today.

Still debating an early scan?

2018isanewyear · 15/02/2019 10:15

Sorry should have said due 13th October

sukisydney · 15/02/2019 18:52

Hello, another new joiner here! Nice to see some familiar faces from the TTC Feb thread.
I'm 37, have 2 DCs (+ a MMC in between). I'm currently a slightly miserable expat in sweaty Australia, planning return home in the next 6 months (thank f**k for thatGrin!) Think I'm due 25 Oct. DH was totally shocked by the BFP but is slowly coming round.
@BillyAndTheSillies how did it go at the GP? I'm in the same boat as my youngest has picked up the little wrigglers and I think has passed them to me.Blush Not being able to take the meds is really freaking me out - I'm eating grated carrot and raw garlic... apparently helpful... just so gross!

sukisydney · 15/02/2019 18:55

Oh how annoying I tried to star out my rude word (!) but it's done some weird text boldness - sorry to anyone who has format-OCD like me!

BillyAndTheSillies · 15/02/2019 19:25

@sukisydney she wasn't concerned provided DS, DH and other adults who look after him were treated.
You can't take anything at all regardless of trimester apparently so she just advised to practice good hygiene and make sure everything has been washed thoroughly which we did.
They work their way out within 4-6 weeks on their own, although any excuse for garlic!

sukisydney · 15/02/2019 19:45

Thanks @BillyAndTheSillies - all hygiene measures taken - washing machine on permanentlyGrin Better get some more garlic in!

Catren · 15/02/2019 21:59

Aww sorry you're having a hard time in oz (waves from sydney) but glad you're getting back home to settle down if that's what you need. I lived in the uk for years but have come home to australia in the last few years, it's been tough to get used to a different way of life but was definitely the best decision for us. Hopefully you'll also have your family to support you back home. And congratulations!

sukisydney · 15/02/2019 22:24

@Catren nice to have another time zone buddy! We love so much about Oz, have had some wonderful times here - just feeling more and more homesick the older my kids get (especially over the hot Christmases - I'm a true Brit and start melting when it's over 25C!) Congrats to you too Smile

Catren · 16/02/2019 00:29

I know what you mean suki my dh finds the hot christmases a bit discombobulating! Hope you enjoy some of the summer before heading home. 😊

Secretlifeofme · 16/02/2019 00:47

Hi ladies, can I join? Got my BFP this morning at 14DPO and I can't really believe it! I'm 39, been TTC since September 2016 and had two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy since then. Recently been put on luteal phase progesterone and it seems to have done the trick! My EDD is 24th October Smile

October 2019!
Catren · 16/02/2019 00:50

secretlife wow congratulations! Fellow long time ttc-er here, you must be so pleased. 💐 welcome! Have you had any symptoms?

Secretlifeofme · 16/02/2019 00:53

Thanks @catren! Congratulations to you too :) I have been nauseous and had really sore boobs but because I'm on progesterone supplements, I just assumed it was because of that! How about you?

Glitterandunicorns · 16/02/2019 08:05

Congratulations @Secretlifeofme!

Secretlifeofme · 16/02/2019 08:19

Thank you @Glitterandunicorns :) congrats to you too, and to everyone on the thread. It's just so exciting to be here Grin

Catren · 16/02/2019 09:39

Hi secret i'm also on progesterone which is making me soooo bloated i already look 4 months gone. Argh! Taking them for 12 weeks plus clexane injections (blood thinners) which is a hoot.. are yours also the lovely pessaries? I'm still a bit crampy but mainly just tired. I also keep forgetting i'm pregnant which i never thought would happen 😂

Secretlifeofme · 16/02/2019 10:01

Hi @catren yay, a progesterone buddy ;)! Yes, I'm in cyclogest pessaries and have been advised to take them until 12 weeks along with baby aspirin for the same issue with blood thinning.

bowielove · 16/02/2019 16:14

Hello, just thought I’d join the group. I’m 38 and I’m 6 weeks+4 days pregnant from the start of my period but I had an early scan today (just for a bit of reassurance as I haven’t had very many pregnancy symptoms) and I was dated at 5 weeks+6 days (so 5 days behind). I know this isn’t a big deal and the sonographer said everything seemed fine - there was a heartbeat so that was really good. I’ve just been feeling a bit confused. I know I ovulated on day 11 but I’m also pretty sure the embryo implanted on 11dpo which is quite late so I’ve been stressing about that as I heard the miscarriage risk was higher. When I’d done the clear blue tests with how many weeks all of them moved up later than I thought they would. The small size at today’s scan wasn’t a shock because of the clear blue tests. Tbh I thought there might not even be a baby there let alone a heartbeat so that was lovely. I just feel so unsure at the moment and I hope everything goes okay! I have a son who is 9 so I’ve been pregnant before but had a lot more symptoms last time and my dates were all like I thought they’d be. My due date is 6 Oct (from LMP) but who knows what it will change to. I hope you’re all well and enjoying your pregnancies.
