Good for you, @Peaky1! Sounds like a lovely day.

CantBelieveMyLuck · 07/02/2019 12:25

Naps rule. I'd forgotten how tired you get, last night I was the one asking to go to bed, which must have amused DH.

Hope you have a great day Peaky.

I need a notebook to write down names so I remember. It was being rather moody that got me to test, as one weekend I seemed to be irritated by everything. DH joyfully said is resting bitch face a pregnancy symptom. I think it's the bodies way of warning others give me shit and you'll know about it.

Last night was feeling bleurgh, then thankfully it passed. Woke up today and literally came downstairs and lay on sofa. The next few weeks are packed with social stuff that we've had planned for ages. I'm hoping that this is just a blip.

6 weeks today!!!

CantBelieveMyLuck · 07/02/2019 12:28

Billy I think it's hormones too, plus possibly if you're a bit tired. If you feel yourself about to flip, try and take a few deep breaths or make a hasty exit elsewhere. Hope you get through work ok.

BillyAndTheSillies · 07/02/2019 16:04

Peaky that sounds like a great day!

Tomorrow's my day off and need to think of ways to keep DS amused and out of the house because he gets cabin fever within minutes of waking up.

Need to go to the GP tomorrow, embarrassingly DS picked up worms last week and I was in the 2WW so didn't take the worming tablet. Everything suggests seeing a GP if you're in the first trimester and may need to be wormed (like a bloody cat!) but I'm wondering if the GP will also do my maternity referral while I'm there.

Will be breaking the news to my IL's this weekend as I work for them and need risk assessments to go on site as part of my job.

CantBelieve, I'd forgotten how bad the tiredness gets. I've been crawling to bed at about 8pm. Need a day off just to catch up on tv! Hoping DH takes the early shifts with DS this weekend.

GembaGemba7 · 07/02/2019 19:23

Hey everyone,
I am new to this site and first time TTC and now pregnant Shock

I am 5+3 if I've got my dates right! I'm 30 with two stepchildren who are 4 and 7

Totally overwhelmed but so happy.

My question is when does the paranoia go? The constant checking if the dreaded period has arrived??

Only symptoms I have had are sore boobs, and weird feelings down there! Oh and 2 positive tests!

I did one digital weeks indicator and it said 2-3 weeks so am I right in thinking I would then be 4/5 weeks?

I fear I may be asking lots of questions......ill apologise now lol!

Catren · 07/02/2019 20:08

Congrats on quitting smoking Billy!

I've been a little.. tense lately i think.. poor dh he's giving me a wide berth at the moment 😂 this horrid cold plus "mummys sore tummy" (i.e. be GENTLE) has meant 3yo dd has been drawing me get well cards for days 😍 it's helping.

No other symptoms to spot other than tiredness. I was in bed before 9pm last night and it was bliss!

Those days off sound delightful. I'm working from home today so plan on some strategic napping to get through it.

HMIB · 07/02/2019 21:37

Hi!! I'm excited to be joining this group! Found out this morning I'm expecting my 5th!!! Due 22/10.

missrose0110 · 07/02/2019 21:40

Hi all, can I join?

My stats
Age 23
Ttc baby #1
Mmc in October at 12 weeks.

According to my dates I'll be due around 7th October. These early weeks are so nerve wracking xx

Catren · 08/02/2019 06:05

Hmib omg your 5th! Wow. We'll be directing all questions your way with all that experience! Were they all natural births?

Welcome Missrose!

I have my 7 week viability scan on the 26th and apparently since we got our ivf embryos chromosomally tested we can definitively find out the sex. Which I'm excited about!

How's everyone doing today?

HMIB · 08/02/2019 06:19

@Catren ha! It Is true I do seem to know a lot!!!

Yes 2 natural hospital births and 2 home births. And this baby will be a home birth if all goes to plan!! 😊. X

Catren · 08/02/2019 06:49

hmib oh fab! I'd love a home birth or even a midwife led clinic one, but with my first birth i had to be induced, she got stuck, then an emergency c section.. so labour ward trying for a vbac it is! Thankfully it'll have been 4 years since then so low risk of any issues with scar tissue.

HMIB · 08/02/2019 07:04

@Catren trying for a vbac Is great! And even I know it's where Is safest to have baby is what matters!! 😊. X

CantBelieveMyLuck · 08/02/2019 08:06

Wow we're getting busy now Smile Welcome to all the newcomers.

I've got a scan next week to check for placement. I'll be a day off 7 weeks.

I think early on the symptoms are usually tender breasts, changes in mood from hormones, yummy tiredness & fanny daggers as they're so aptly called.

I know MS can be reassuring that everything is going well, but it doesn't half get tedious.

Billy I hope you get a break at the weekend, hopefully a nice brew when you wake up too. Did you survive work ok?

Hope everyone has a good day.

Bunnylove83 · 08/02/2019 10:51

Hi everyone,
If dates are right I'm just over five weeks with DC2. DD was two in October.

Feel tired, have back ache, and off my food. Usually love sweet stuff but even turning down my beloved chocolate. (Very lucky to have) sailed through first trimester with DD so arrogantly thought I'd feel fine again ... completely wrong!!

Hope everyone keeps well, and gets to relax this weekend.

Vebrithien · 08/02/2019 18:02

Can I join please? 34, 5 weeks today, already got DD 2.5
Due around 11th Oct, based on ovulation date. Been feeling nauseous for the last week and a half, exactly the same as last time. Completely gone off of my coffee Envy (not envy!).

birchwoods · 08/02/2019 21:00

Hello! Can I join please?

I'm 35, pregnant with number 2, due around 18th Oct, I'm 4 weeks today. I have a three and a half year old DD.

This pregnancy was not really unplanned but was certainly unexpected, a one shot wonder! Not that I'm not grateful, it's just taking a while to get my head around. My boobs are starting to get sore and I've felt crampy and generally tired and crappy today.

Congratulations to everyone.

HMIB · 08/02/2019 21:32

@Vebrithien oh I feel for you. The sickness hasn't kicked in yet for me. I'm expecting it with in the week but I'm gonna miss my coffee so much. I can't stand the stuff when pregnant!!

Vebrithien · 08/02/2019 21:58

Thanks HMIB it started 10 dpo, I'm usually not sick, but just nauseous all the time. Ginger makes me retch at the best of times, and I can't cook anything with fish or meat in it.
This was our first month TTC, have had a chemical pregnancy before DD, so pleased to have got to 5 weeks. 8 more weeks of nausea (on average) to go Confused Also get the pregnancy colds in the evenings, so am sat wrapped up like a great big fluffy parcel right now!

Peaky1 · 09/02/2019 12:18

@HMIB were you on the conception TTC threads too? I'm sure I remember that username.

Congrats to all!

I'm bang on 6 weeks today and having an early scan at 4pm 😆😆 very excited to make sure everything is okay so far and check the number of heartbeats if they can be spotted 🧐

OP posts:
HMIB · 09/02/2019 13:35

@Peaky1 yes I was!! That tread was quite lucky seeing as it was my first month of trying 😳.

Ah! I bet your so excited!!! 😊.

HMIB · 09/02/2019 19:07

@Peaky1 hope it went great. 😊. X

HarryPottersSecretSister · 10/02/2019 08:52

Hi All,
Marking my place and tentatively joining you all if that's ok?
AF isn't due until next Friday so extremely early days here.
Had a metallic taste in my mouth, bloating and cramping in work on Friday and couldn't concentrate. Convinced myself I was pregnant although was mindful that I was hallucinating as it was so early for symptoms.

Bought a pound shop cheapie yesterday and did it yesterday evening- faint positive.

Did a FR this morning and there's a strong line.

I'm 33 and this baby will hopefully be number 4.
My 'baby' will be 8 in June so I'm a little worried about the gap and that I've forgotten everything.

I haven't told DH yet.

I hope everyone is feeling well and happy today.

Catren · 10/02/2019 09:07

Wow harry congratulations! Sounds like you'll have a great helper there with your 8yo, i would have loved a baby sibling at that age! You'll be grand. Welcome in

AutumnBabii · 10/02/2019 15:39

Hi all

Massive congrats to everyone!xx

I received my BFP on Wednesday (6th Feb) 16 dpo, due date 18th Oct.
I went searching for this forum mainly because it's so hard not to tell everybody I know, immediately, that I'm pregnant!

We had been trying for 5 months and in early January we decided to have a break from tracking ovulation etc as we were both feeling the pressure. On Monday evening I was suffering from a sore throat and tickly cough and ended up calling in sick the next day with terrible headache. I was sprawled on the sofa all day Tuesday with a sky rocketing fever, all which very quickly turned to full blown flu! Wednesday morning I felt even worse, AF was a day late and I was feeling some nausea so I thought I'd rule out pregnancy. And to my shock, there it was! 2 pink lines! DH had quite a shock when he came in with my flu meds that evening.

Since then I've learnt that your body lets its defences down to stop the baby from being rejected by the body, hence the horrendous flu! Since then I've only had mild cramps, which are worrying me a bit but I've heard that they're normal.

Does anybody else feel like they have to practically tip-toe everywhere at this stage? I feel like I'm so damn fragile right now! Lol!

XXX

katmarie · 10/02/2019 20:51

Hi all, can I join? Had my bfp this morning, a bit of a shock really, we haven't really been trying very long, but there we go, I convinced myself it would take ages, since I'm 37. I have a 13 month old ds who was also conceived within a few months of trying so I'm not sure what I was thinking really! Anyway i wanted them to have a small age gap, plus i didn't want to delay too long because I'd really like a third and I'm not getting any younger!

From dates I'm 4+3. I'm due on 16 October. My mum is going to kill me, between us that will be 6 birthdays in October in the family, three in the same week if baby comes on the due date (unlikely I know, I went a week over last time). Anyway I feel like I've just got back on the rollercoaster again :)
