Exciting @Fleurbs !

Tagging (if on phone) you type the @ key and a list of names should come up to choose from. If on computer then it's the same @ key but they aren't as helpful with a list so you just have to make sure you spell it right!

Hi everyone. I’m tentatively joining, after a strong BFP today and faint lines yesterday and the day before. I’m not due on until Friday but 🤞🏼 it sticks. 1st cycle trying so I’m in shock that it’s happened this quick.

I have a DD who will be 2 in March. It took 3 months to conceive her. So far symptoms have included what I would describe as ‘burning boobs’, a pulling sensation in my stomach and mild af like cramps. I kind of knew I was pregnant this time because of the burning boobs, I had the same symptom with DD. Due date is 13th Oct.

Glitterandunicorns · 29/01/2019 18:59

@Fleurbs thank you! That's so kind. This afternoon I randomly did a cheap test without any kind of holding and having had a lot of water and got a strong line (I reckon I'm 4+5 today) and have had no further bleeding today so I'm cautiously hopeful.

Welcome @Sienna9522! Wow! First month trying is canny going! (Def compared to my two and a half year wait!)

Catren · 31/01/2019 09:21

Hi all, can I tentatively dip my toes into this thread..? I've just got my bfp and I"m 11dpo, so not even missed my period yet. Eek. This would be #2, we've been ttc for 3 years and after a round of IVF and 2 failed embryo transfers we're hoping transfer #3 is the lucky one! I have an almost 4yo and this would be a total dream come true for us. Crossing fingers it sticks and I can join you all on the ride!

My stats:
Age - 36yo
Due date - 13 Oct 2019
DCs - 3.5 yo dd
countless chemicals
TTC 3 years.. Hoping this is our little ivf miracle..!

Nice to meet you ladies

milkjetmum · 31/01/2019 09:28

Hi, just wanted to join too, am 38 and expecting dc3. But feeling quite anxious as had a miscarriage back in Sept at 9-10 weeks so dont think I'll feel settled until after 12 week scan. But looking pregnant already I think all my muscles are prrstretched from previous pregnancy and have already flopped out Grin lots of strategic clothes required for work...

Glitterandunicorns · 31/01/2019 10:27

Congratulations @Catren and @milkjetmum! @Catren it sounds like you've had a difficult journey so far. I really hope it works out for you!

@milkjetmum I know what you mean! I'm 5 weeks today and I swear that my stomach has given up already! (This will be my second). My jeans are already tight so lots of baggy tops are in order! I know it's only bloating but still not good when you're trying to hide it!

angel0071987 · 31/01/2019 11:06

I caved today and put maternity jeans on. Only 5weeks but so bloated. As with all my previous pregnancies it's also beginning to hurt if I have any waistband on tummy. So mat jeans cover belly and avoid unsightly cracks from very low rising normal jeans!

CatRen · 31/01/2019 12:35

Thanks so much glitter, definitely not the hardest road going by the infertility boards but I guess it's not a competition, I'm honestly grateful to get this far! Hopefully I'll get less dramatic as time progresses 😂

Glitterandunicorns · 31/01/2019 12:58

@catren you're right; it's not a competition and everyone has their own challengers and difficulties. We had unexplained infertility for two and a half years that randomly seemed to fix itself with this pregnancy, so I understand some of your experience.
Either way, exciting times now and I wish you well!

Sienna9522 · 31/01/2019 22:29

I don’t know if it’s my hormones but I’m feeling incredibly guilty tonight. I’m thinking about my DD and how a new baby will impact on her life. How she won’t have all of my attention anymore. How she won’t be my one and only. And then I worry that I won’t love this one as much as I love and adore her! I hope it’s the hormones, I should get a grip!

Peaky1 · 31/01/2019 23:06

Welcome all! Nice to see some new names cropping up.

I'm sorry that you're feeling anxious but it probably is the hormones. Steve offered to make me dinner the other evening and I cried with gratitude!! Not quite the same as your worries but I hope that makes you feel a bit more normal 🤪

I'm only 5 weeks on Saturday (with #3) and I'm bloated, constipated (thanks progesterone) and jeans/bras are tight! Will be eyeing up mat gear for sure 👀

Hello! Can I join? 32 years old with 1 baby aged 9 months and another due 9 October 2019. Just found out today - very unexpected but wonderful news!

Whowouldhavethoughtit · 01/02/2019 08:23

Hi all, I'm 4 weeks pregnant. Only found out a couple of days ago. First baby too!
I'm shattered and emotionally drained trying to get my head round it all.
I'm plus size and that's making me more anxious but apart from that I'm so so excited!

Glitterandunicorns · 01/02/2019 09:54

Congratulations to you both and welcome @Whowouldhavethoughtit and @HarryHarry!

Glitterandunicorns · 01/02/2019 09:55

@Sienna9522 I'm sure it is just the hormones. It will be a big change for you all, but I'm sure your DD will be so excited to have a new brother or sister!

Glitterandunicorns · 01/02/2019 10:00

@Peaky1 I'm with you! I'm 5 weeks + 1 and the bloating is ridiculous! Honestly, after eating anything at all I look 6 months pregnant, which is a challenge for trying to hide it!

For any of you ladies who have had a baby before, I had awful PGP the first time round and was signed off work at 20 weeks as I couldn't move without crying.
I'm already getting horrific pelvic pain. Is it normal to get it so early? I understand the body makes relaxin and the starts to affect the pelvis, but I had no idea it could start so soon.

CatRen · 01/02/2019 10:17

Glitter your first pregnancy sounds so rough, 20 weeks- what on earth did you do with yourself for that long?? Sorry you're feeling it already. No idea if it's too early as i didn't suffer from that first time round. I had crazy rib pain as I have a short torso and the baby was up under my ribs.. sooo painful. Kind of hoping this time round I'll be much stretchier given my body has changed quite a bit.. one can only hope!

angel0071987 · 01/02/2019 11:02

@Glitterandunicorns snap. Horrid pgp and on crutches last time and also signed off work. Hips starting to get sore now at 5weeks :( not sure there's much to do to stop it. Although my suppprt belt seems to help a little now although later on does nothing. Taking it easy and trying to carry loads equally to not cause any other pain.
Not looking forward to using crutches if I have to again - toddler and crutches don't mix!!!

Glitterandunicorns · 01/02/2019 11:04

@catren I mostly laid on the sofa for five months watching tv! I couldn't sit up as the problem for me was the back of the pelvis, right where your tailbones are basically!

Hopefully this time, your baby won't sit as high up! X

meatandgreetretreat · 03/02/2019 03:35

Hello!
May I join you please?
This is my first post after years of lurking.
I’m 38, with 2yo DS.
@HarryHarry we share a due date - 9 Oct. BFP on Wednesday, TTC since September, but nothing happened until my first cycle after I’d fully stopped breastfeeding (may be coincidence).

meatandgreetretreat · 03/02/2019 03:37

My stomach has popped into pregnancy mode already too.
Tried 2 pairs of jeans on Friday before going for an old pair that didn’t squeeze my tummy

CatRen · 03/02/2019 10:06

meatandgreet it's crazy huh. I'm so bloated i guess from the progesterone I'm taking that i look 4 months gone already! Think i need to start the transition to "active wear" 😂

April2020mom · 03/02/2019 10:40

Is there a November 2019 birth club thread or not?

DustyDoorframes · 03/02/2019 10:49

Errr I doubt it, those November babes must be barely eggs right now?

CatRen · 03/02/2019 20:54

Yeah i think a bit early for November babies.

I just got a 2-3 weeks on my clearblue digital! Never got that far last time, and so pleased my hcg levels are rising 🤞🤞
