So everyone...

What funny feelings and symptoms are you getting?

I've going cramping, I can't stop burping all the time! And I'm so tired my eyelids are twitching all the time. I'm dreading any sickness as I'm not a sicky person (13 years and counting sick free!)

CatRen · 03/02/2019 22:08

whowouldhavethoughtit I've got the daily cramping too plus what ive heard called lightning vaj - shooting pains in my nethers out of no where! Dh questioned whether i should be behind a wheel 😂

I hope you don't get sick, some people don't! Last pregnancy i only threw up when I'd not had enough sleep, so early bed times maybe? The nausea was there still though.

My food aversions have started. Not remotely interested in green veg, which i usually LOVE. And obviously need to eat. Not feeling sick yet thank goodness.

BillyAndTheSillies · 04/02/2019 08:31

Hi everyone, just got my BFP this morning at 15DPO (albeit very faint).
Stats are : 30, this will be DC2. DS1 will be three in a few weeks.
This was our third cycle TTC and nearly threw the towel in this month as have a skiing holiday coming up - I'll get my lessons cancelled this morning lol.
Congratulations to you all, my EDD is October 17th

Glitterandunicorns · 04/02/2019 09:58

Welcome and congratulations @BillyAndTheSillies!

@catren I'm also having cramping now and again and feel often as if I'm about to start my period. It's terrifying!

At the moment I can't eat enough satsumas and vegetables and I mostly can't stomach the thought of anything substantial or junk food, which is pretty much the opposite of how I was when pregnant with my son!

BillyAndTheSillies · 04/02/2019 10:34

No aversions yet, but I had to keep sticking my head out the window as I was cooking when DS asked for bacon and beans on Saturday night.
Haven't had a cup of coffee in two days and barely touched a glass of red wine my mum gave me yesterday because it tasted sour.

Last pregnancy went off what I call "sweet meat" so spag Bol, anything with barbecue sauce etc. Had a feeling a BFP might be on the horizon when DH said he was cooking chilli one day last week and my stomach turned over.

HarryHarry · 04/02/2019 20:48

I just realised that apart from @Whowouldhavethoughtit, nobody here so far is a first timer! Is anybody else terrified at the thought of having 2 (or more) babies to deal with?! Mine will only be 17 months by the time this one is born - eek!

DustyDoorframes · 04/02/2019 20:59

harry the other October thread (in pregnancy) has lots of first timers. I'm a third timer (and started a thirds and more thread in antenatal clubs) and yup, I am sh**ing myself! What were we thinking?!?! But also weeeeeeeee babyyyyyy yaaaay! Heh.

Whowouldhavethoughtit · 04/02/2019 21:14

@harryharry really?! What better way to learn from the experts!

BillyAndTheSillies · 04/02/2019 21:21

Absolutely crapping myself with number two.
DS is independent, toilet trained, we can leave the house without thinking about it. And now we are (well in a few, long months) chucking a new born back in to the mix.
He's an only child and only grandchild on both sides and I don't think the transition from one to two is going to be pretty.

WingingIt09 · 04/02/2019 22:04

Tentatively joining here, got a BFP today at 11dpo, conceived straight after having a miscarriage at the beginning of January. Hopefully this one sticks!
This will be baby number 2, my daughter will be just 2 when this one arrives if all goes well. Xx

HarryHarry · 05/02/2019 14:27

@Whowouldhavethoughtit I definitely wouldn’t include myself in ‘experts’ - I have no idea what I’m doing! (It doesn’t help that I live outside the UK where there are very few prenatal resources in English!)

Fleurbs · 05/02/2019 14:34

Congratulations wingingit! And all the others of course Smile. Here’s to an uneventful 8 months

I am half bricking it about going back to sleepless nights etc but dd will be such a good big sister I am also so so excited for her and us!

I probably won’t be saying this next week but I’m jealous and a bit unnerved that most people seem to be having loads of symptoms and I have nada. Boobs are hurting but it comes and goes (not completely but still) so I’m freaking myself out a bit... 5+4 is early days mind so I suppose I should be enjoying it while I can

Peaky1 · 05/02/2019 18:55

Hi all! Huge congrats to all the new people on the thread.

Just 5+3 here. Feeling utterly exhausted today! Had to order pizza in as I couldn't even be arsed to do something as simple as beans on toast! Now sitting on floor with pizza in the living room, still in work uniform and wondering if it's okay to ask my 6 and 3 year old to get themselves ready for bed 😳

I hear you fleurbs, mine will be 4.5 when #2 comes, about to go to school! It'll be like a first baby all over again 🤣 i don't think i remember anything! At least I'll have only one for 6 hours a day and a little helper hopefully - silver lining and all that!

CatRen · 05/02/2019 22:52

Sorry that was meant to be for Billy

MoonMa · 06/02/2019 09:36

Good morning all!

Happy to be joining the group. 😊
I’m 39 and 6+1 with baby no 5. Due early Oct.
My older children are 10, 6, 4 and 2.
Absolutely shattered! Nauseous all the time and looking forward to enjoying my FINAL pregnancy so thought it would be lovely to join a thread for the first time ever and share the journey with other Oct ‘19 mums!

meatandgreetretreat · 06/02/2019 14:21

@CatRen I’ve also heard it called fanny daggers on here - so accurate! A few of those for me so far plus nausea, usually around the middle of the day. 5 + 1 today.

CantBelieveMyLuck · 06/02/2019 17:19

Another newbie popping by.

This is DC2, I'm 36, already got one 14 year old, did fertility tx years back but had losses, so this is quite an unexpected surprise. We can't complain, my due date is 6th October.

Absolutely terrified of another loss, thankfully my boobs have got a mind of their own, needing the toilet a lot more, plus slight MS now and again.

I think it's going to be a shock as we thought this would never happen again. We were almost at the - DC is nearly 16, what do we do, now we're right back at the start again. You have to love Mother Nature.

CantBelieveMyLuck · 06/02/2019 19:41

Tonight's little gift, a weird type of nausea that makes me think being unwell is pretty much inevitable. I really can't complain as it's some kind of miracle we did this naturally after so much failed fertility tx.

Is anyone else at that stage yet?

HarryHarry · 06/02/2019 20:29

I don’t have any nausea yet but I do have some quite bad aches and pains. I don’t remember them from last time but I guess it’s normal? Especially after a C-section.

CatRen · 06/02/2019 20:45

I've come down with a rotten cold (it's summer where I am!) And this happened at the exact same time in my pregnancy with my dd. Maybe my immune system is low? No real sickness yet at 4+5 but boobs are letting me know they're here and still a bit crampy actually.

fanny daggers 😂 so apt

Whowouldhavethoughtit · 06/02/2019 21:18

Fanny Daggers is genius!
I think the hormones upped their game today. I've been vile! My cramping has stopped but been replaced with dry heaving (sorry!) I don't even feel sick, it's so weird.

CantBelieveMyLuck · 06/02/2019 21:50

Fanny daggers is that lovely stabby feeling I guess. I didn't realise it had a name.

I feel loads better now thankfully. Hope the dry heaving ends soon.

BillyAndTheSillies · 07/02/2019 09:19

Foul mood today and boobs feel like rocks. I've just lost all patience and quietly seething at work as everyone is getting on my nerves at the moment!
This may also coincide with giving up smoking two weeks ago. Throw that in to the mix with hormones and it's a disaster!

Peaky1 · 07/02/2019 09:40

I love Thursdays! My day off work 😁. Sitting in costa with my caffeinated coffee 😳😳😳, smashed through some costa toast and off to the hairdressers.
I'll do the housework when I get home*

*Going for a nap
