I was just thinking that myself ejt.

WinnieThePooh · 13/07/2007 10:20

How about Piglets due soon?

lisad123 · 13/07/2007 10:22

ejt Im that you get to get your nails done. Im at home with dd and today is not a good, as i could barely get out of bed Think i overdid it yesterday. Pleasures of 4 year olds they have no idea what "mummy needs a rest" means

LOl I think my baby brain is getting worse, sent dh inot loft to get crib down, only to discover i sold it at a booty last year
It give a good exsuse to save for a amby nest hehe.

Im so proud, we made playdough yesterday and its still ok this morning. DD is enjoying it now.

Everyone keeps telling me i look like i have lost weight everywhere else apart from bump, LOL. I guess my heart running double time is good for something.
Hope you have a good day

Lisa

It's only taken us 15 days to get to 900 + on this one!

That's scary!

Have just got to tell you about this.

We are keeping the old pram (as you know), and wanted to get a new mattress for it.

I saw this company on ebay, and decided to give them a whirl ... I ordered 2 mattresses, 1 for the crib, and one for the pram - which is an odd size - top bit is narrower than the bottom bit - on Wednesday afternoon - and they have just arrived by courier ... and they fit perfectly!

Definitely a recommendation if you need mattresses doing!

Right, am definitely off to get my hairy bits defuzzed!

Kittiwake · 13/07/2007 10:29

Morning all

I really like Oisin - names are so tricky though I told a colleauge at work the other day that I quite liked Leonard/Lenny and she said oh I'll pretend I didn't hear that. I asked why and she said because I hate it!!! I should have said I was thinking about it because it was my grandad's name but I was so stung by her reaction I didn't say anything!

Weight wise I am not sure how much I have put on but not a lot I have a pretty small bump and if I have another person say to me 'are you sure you're preganant' or 'where are you hiding that baby' I swear I am going to poke them in the eye.

Congratulations Muppets friend that's the kind of positive birth story I need to hear.

muppetgirl · 13/07/2007 10:36

I weighed myslef the other day whilst holding ds1
I normally weigh around 9-91/2 stone but hilding ds I weigh 13.1! No wonder I can't carry him anymore!!

Added pic of my bump on profile. Starting weight 11st 5lb Now 13st 6 lb.

I'm going on a big health kick when this lo arrives, my aim is to get to 10st 7lb, doubt I could get any less than that nowadays... too much yoyo dieting over the years

FloriaTosca · 13/07/2007 11:06

If were doing 1000 messages a fornight we are going to going through another 6 threads or more!!!!
"Piggies almost due" is great but at our rate will be defunct before anyone has dropped!!!!...
.....if the weather was better I'd suggest "porkers still roasting".... but "piglets in mud" would be more appropriate here in Lancs.!

Did anyone see "House" last night...with the 42 yr old mum with "mirror syndrome" and the open womb operation on the 21 wk baby?...Dh laughed at me because I cried when the (admittedly plastic) babys hand grasped the surgeons finger!...probably shouldnt have watched...too close to home...older woman, last dich attempt to be a Mum etc. etc.... Thank heavens they had a happy ending!!!

MrsFish · 13/07/2007 11:07

Oh bugger, missed it I love that programme too.

FloriaTosca · 13/07/2007 11:27

One of my favourite..dont miss..shows, Mrs F...and Hugh Laurie is so good he is almost unrecognisable; it is so hard to see all the idiots he played in the Blackadder series or Jeeves and Wooster etc when he is playing House...I'm in awe...no wonder they are allegedly paying him $1 million per show!

MrsFish · 13/07/2007 11:37

I agree, he is bloody brilliant

muppetgirl · 13/07/2007 11:45

Afternoon ladies, hope some of you are about to give me your opinions. We're off on hols tomorow, staying in a cottage in north norfolk...yippee...my dilema is DS's sleeping arrangements.

He's too big for his travel cot now (even though he loves it) and although he has a blow-up bed its just too darn noisy...I nearly throttled him the other week when we were away for the weekend.

The cottage has 2 single bedrooms and he's used to sleeping in his own bed obviously. Do you think he's be OK in his own room or should we, as DH suggests, take the mattress off his toddler bed and let him sleep on the floor in with us??? transport-wise its not a problem as we took his blowup bed blown up and the mattress isn't much bigger, it just seems over the top to me. What do you reckon?

phee

MrsFish · 13/07/2007 12:32

I would put him in his own room, he is used to being in his own room isn't he? and put the mattress on the floor

FloriaTosca · 13/07/2007 12:33

Not seem true dare kiss yet but will keep an eye out for it

Pheebe; I'm not qualified to say, but if it isnt going to be a problem to transport I'd take it just in case...you can try him in the other room and if it doesnt work out you have the solution to hand...but then again you could take the matress off the spare bed at the cottage and put it on your room too and save yourself the hassle of carrying your own down there. Whatever you decide have a wonderful time..and I hope the weather bucks up for you.

Pheebe · 13/07/2007 12:36

Thanks both. I hadn't thought about the possibility of moving one of the mattresses already there DOH!

He is used to sleeping in his own room, think we'll try that first

Can you tell I'm flapping, anyone would think I hadn't been on holiday before !

MrsFish · 13/07/2007 12:40

How old is he Pheebee?

My ds was two in June and has been in a single bed since then, we are off on hols at the end of the month and I'm not sure whether to take his travel cot or just stick him in the bed?

muppetgirl · 13/07/2007 12:41

what about one of these

Our ds loves his and it's light so you can out it where ever you want to.

Toys 'r' us sell them

OP posts:
MrsFish · 13/07/2007 12:42

Oooo yes, I have seen them actually but forgot about them, what a good idea... might have to get one

muppetgirl · 13/07/2007 12:43

He takes it to Auntie Jen's, would take it on holiday.

Hand hint, blow it upa little then put the bedding on, then carry on blowing it up all the way.

Doesn;t sqeak like an airbed.

OP posts:
MrsFish · 13/07/2007 12:46

Can you use it without the bedding? ie if it is too hot. Ds gets very hot when asleep, so much so the past few nights I have checked on him his pillow has had a big sweat patch on it from his head.

Pheebe · 13/07/2007 12:48

He's nearly 3 and well settled in his toddler bed. The blow up bed was a nightmare, waaay too noisy as he's a big shuffler and actually woke him up early as he couldn't seem to get comfy enough to doze in it. Thats out experience anyway.

Pheebe · 13/07/2007 12:50

MrsFish, my DS has started to get really really hot in bed too the last few weeks. I remember my godsons being the same at this age and they needed towels under the sheet to protect the mattress. I think its to do with how quick they're growing at this age. DS now sleeps in vest or T-shirt and his pullup nappy with a very thin duvet.
