@Belmo I'm nearly 12 weeks and a bit crampy. Was wondering if there's an issue so I'm glad I'm not the only one. I didn't read the uterus has filled the pelvis by now, so I'm assuming it's squashing everything trying to escape now.

Such a frustrating day. GP calculated BMI differently to the NHS online calculator so insisted I'm still over 30 which is simply not true, and the midwife has no appointments until mid January when I'll be well past 12 weeks. So looks like I won't actually get a 12 week scan Shock

Oh no AnnaBegins neither of those things sound very good!

How on earth did the Dr calculate BMI differently to the organisation he works for?!

Report
AnnaBegins · 11/12/2018 18:35

She insisted that 5'6 is 167cm when it's 168cm (and the NHS calculator converts it to 168cm). Now that I won't see the midwife until 14 weeks all my weight loss has been for nothing.

@Laburna it’s hard not to feel a bit uneasy isn’t it, but the internet assured me it’s really common and normal.

I just don't remember any of the cramping with my first. Not sure if I've actually just forgotten, or I just glossed over it! Every little thing this time has me freaking out!

I am so hormonal tonight. Father Christmas has been around our village this evening and we took our (very confused) 16month old out to wave at him and I've been in floods of years for no reason since. I don't even know whats causing it!

I've also got two spots this evening, which is great as it DHs work Christmas party on Saturday. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I never get spots, and I never have, and now I have two! On a party week!

AIDE2424 where did you get that book from it’s lovely. I’ve been keeping notes but would love something like that to write in.

I’m 10 weeks tomorrow. Still haven’t received a letter for my scan appointment. I have a feeling it will be after Christmas now x

@Laburna I'm getting cramps as well (I'm almost 11 weeks) so I thinks it's normally as so much is changing in there. I'm also getting loads of spots as well - never have them!

I'm trying to avoid all Christmas parties at work but I'm running out of excuses. Once a pre pregancy I didn't drink when I went out. I said I wasn't well. And people actually asked me if I was pregnant..

@AIDE2424 great thank you I’m going to go look on Thursday. I know Small world!

@blueeyedviking I’m going out for a xmas meal with a small part of our team tomorrow which I’m hoping I’ll be ok on as I’ve felt sick as anything the last few days and then the big Xmas party with work on Friday. Just can’t be bothered with the nagging me to drink and me finding excuses. I have a pretty good excuse I can luckily use but I know they will start wondering!

Hi all, just checking in.

I’ve just posted on the old thread as I wasn’t sure everyone had moved over yet, hope that was ok.

I’ve got my first scan tomorrow, decided to go private as can’t wait until mid-Jan. I’ll be 7+4 but have had no symptoms so am a little nervous but keeping everything crossed we see something!

Morning! Thanks for the new thread Kentishgal and hope everyone is feeling well this morning and worries about cramps and things aren't taking over (keep that 🐒 at bay!). I'd be annoyed about spots and BMI too. What a joyous time. 🙈

I had a burst of energy yesterday afternoon, got so absorbed in something at work I forgot I'm pregnant for a couple of hours. I also had a big dinner with DH for the first time in ages without too much trouble. It was nice to feel back to normal for a bit. Completely exhausted today though when I really need to be on it.

Good morning ladies..

I've had a scan this morning. Baby is doing fine, wiggling around and twice the size since my previous scan.
They identified the area of bleeding which is lower than baby. They said it's very common and might happen again. But they weren't concerned.
They've also identified a fibroid, which is as large as the baby. That's definitely grown since I've been pregnant, was previously a third of the size it is now.

Good luck to anyone else who got a scan today x

Good news, @ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts! So pleased for you.

What did they say about the fibroid - will they want to remove it when you give birth?

Amazing news @ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts !!! So happy for you! That's one doughnut down, another doughnut to go. Fingers crossed.

I feel waaaaaay less nauseous today, first thing is quite touch and go but I'm nursing a ginger tea and had some crumpets which has cheered me up!
