Lovely scans ladies - making me impatient for mine next week!

Today is weird. Stomach feels massive and tight. I have been hungry almost constantly but out of ideas as to what to eat - anything I think of I don't fancy - incl my usual diet for the last 7 weeks. Feeling a bit queasy from the hunger. Had pasta with tuna today and was fine but I feel like I'm going off carbs but don't want protein or veg either! gah. So food aversions rather than cravings...

What are others eating today? maybe I can get some ideas. Couldnt think of anything I wanted in the shop (other than an amazing ginger cordial I found - Belvoir farms ) with sparkling water. defo helping settle my stomach.

Blondcat · 28/11/2018 17:36

Great news about the scans ladies. I can't wait for mine next week though I know I will be very anxious after having a mc in April but feeling positive about this one.

diamondbutterfly · 28/11/2018 17:46

Great news about scan! I have mine on Tue at 13+2 will see what they say I am. I'm not a fan of them changing your due date as it can send make you stressed or me stressed when thy are talking about intervention!

Appart from having a sick feel which seems to be relieved by eating, I have been feeling some twitching lower right. May just be random movements right,? because this is way early right?

R4ch4el · 28/11/2018 18:27

Just caught up from today.

@Jacquejacque I’m truly so sorry to hear your news. Your positivity and resilience in the face of this is an inspiration. I hope the next few days aren’t too difficult and that you have lots of support from family and friends. Wishing you all the best, stay positive and I’m sure you will get the happy ending your deserve. Xx

LauralovesLuke · 28/11/2018 18:28

@jacquejacque I'm really sorry to hear your sad news - I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you and your DH xxx

R4ch4el · 28/11/2018 18:30

Great to see all of those scan photos from the last few days, congratulations to you all.

Is anyone starting to show already? I’m 11 +1 today and feel like my stomach is starting to get rounder. Is that even possible at this point or is it just all the carbs?

Bigonesmallone3 · 28/11/2018 18:32

I'm on my third baby and also 11+1 today and deffo have a bump..
Anyone's belly quite tender low down too?

lstef · 28/11/2018 18:35

@R4ch4el - I am showing - well my stomach has def changed. I dont feel bloated and it's really firm and rounded, and doesnt go away if I "pull it in" if that makes sense. I am slim and 5'8" so dunno if that makes it more obvious!

R4ch4el · 28/11/2018 18:51

@Bigonesmallone3 we’re due date twins!

Glad I’m not the only one showing, really didn’t expect it to happen so soon. I’m sure it must be really obvious to all my colleagues, luckily they are all too polite to ask.
I wouldn’t say my belly is tender but definitely feeling lots of stretching on the sides.

Kescilly · 28/11/2018 18:53

I’m 14 weeks today and I definitely feel like my body has been changing. I’m trying to decide what to do about a winter coat. Do I want to temporarily borrow one from a larger friend or do I want a maternity coat I could use next winter for babywearing?

hellotoyellow · 28/11/2018 18:57

@jacquejacque I'm so sorry to hear your news, thinking of you and your DH. You are being amazingly strong.

Previous MC definitely takes all the fun out of early pregnancy. Even though I've had quite a lot of scans I'm still terrified for my 12 week one on Tuesday. Fingers crossed for everyone else.

R4ch4el · 28/11/2018 19:19

@Kescilly I had the same dilemma about a coat, really don’t want to spend lots of money on maternity clothes. I ended up getting a coat from & other stories, they do loads of (purposely) oversized ones that still look really nice but have space to grow into. I got a belted one so it looks fitted now but can just be loosened as I grow.

Curlywurly3 · 28/11/2018 19:38

@jacquejacque I'm so sorry to hear this, I checked in this morning to see how you got on and you've been in my thoughts throughout the day. I've just seen you had a wine and your lovely message to everyone. You truly are an inspiration. I hope you're OK xx

Kescilly · 28/11/2018 20:17

I got my combined NT results back and it’s low risk. I’m not as relieved as I’d like to be though, as the Down’s value was still fairly high, 1:652. I know that there’s nothing I can really do from here, I just wish we knew with more certainty.

But overall low risk, so I need to find a way to be positive and celebrate that.

toomanyflatwhites · 28/11/2018 20:38

Talking about showing, I definitely have a rounded firm little bump but can get away with hiding it (I think!!) so don't think it's been spotted at work yet. Could be kidding myself though!! It's funny though, because of losing weight post DD, I am still 3kg lighter than when I got pregnant with her, so am wearing some in between size trousers that I used to wear instead of needing maternity ones yet.
Oh and last time I wore a normal coat (that wrapped like a dressing gown) in winter, but in spring (DD was born in May) I bought one of those light parkas from verbaudet that had a zip on panel for baby wearing. It was great for that time of year!

fee1234 · 28/11/2018 21:51

Been obsessing over my scan pic 'nub' and sent it to one of the nub theory Facebook groups - it's had around 20 comments from everyone saying it's a boy for sure! Nub techs also said 98% sure it was a boy.

So hard not to get excited, it is only a 'theory'...

Bigonesmallone3 · 28/11/2018 23:02

@R4ch4el
Woo, although saying that my scan is next Friday and I may be changed slightly..
Hoping to remain ur twin tho 😁

Fabuluce · 28/11/2018 23:19

@fee1234 what do you think mine is, boy or girl? It doesn't matter enough for me to send it to the nub techs and I'm not sure my pic is clear enough either but during the actual scan both my DH thought it looked more girl than boy....

Bigonesmallone3 · 28/11/2018 23:27

I'm gunna say girl..

Kimbishop86 · 29/11/2018 05:31

Joining the insomnia club today! It may be because I went to bed at 7 though! Have had the worst sore throat of my life for the last a 10+ days, I just wish it would go away now!! Was feeling so weak and tired and no appetite yesterday as well and was really worried I had the flu, but fingers crossed I’m feeling a bit better now, just the throat that’s persisting!

stellarfox · 29/11/2018 05:56

@Bigonesmallone3 I definitely feel quite aware of my uterus area. I’m trying not to move around too quickly as I want to be gentle for baby but I probably don’t need to worry about it!

@fee1234 98% is really certain, mine was only 85%. If anyone else thinking of sending to the nub techs if they don’t have enough good images to go on that they aren’t sure they will refund you. I didn’t think the nub was on any of my scans even! My partner doesn’t want to find out the gender so this will be the best I have to go on!

I’ve got an interview for a promotion next Thursday and I am planning on telling them I’m pregnant when I find out if I get it or not. I feel a bit bad about it but I don’t want them to have it in the back of their mind when they are making a decision. I told two friends the last couple of days who both said they had guessed so I’m really worried people at work might already know! Hopefully they just think I’ve been on the pies a bit 😂

Fabuluce · 29/11/2018 06:00

Oh and yes I have a continuous general womb ache kind of thing going on. I find it weirdly comforting now!

Napssavelives · 29/11/2018 06:13

I’m so desperate to start exercising again, I woke this morning feeling refreshed, hungry but thought I’ll eat my breakfast, take the kids to school and go for a half hour run. Are the toast, now feel sick. I’ll be able to exercise again eventually right?! It’s so good for my mood it’s not something I want to give up, doesn’t have to be running to be fair, swimming, gym. Some for of cardio exercise 2/3 times a week does wonders for my mental health I know it’s something I’ll need post baby with 3 kids under 6.

fee1234 · 29/11/2018 07:15

@Fabuluce sorry but I've no idea! That's the thing I feel like everyone can see it but I have no idea what they are looking at. Your pic is really clear, you could post it on the private nub Facebook group which is free? I joined and posted it there last night and I've had 30 comments now saying boy. The fb group is called 'strictly nub theory' and private so nobody you know will see you've posted it

Curlywurly3 · 29/11/2018 07:56

Scan day today, it's at 8pm... it's going to be a looong day! I'm having terrible constipation problems this morning and last night I had to wash my hair at 10pm as my soup made an appearance, yuk! Recently I have been feeling totally fine and then every now and then, the symptoms slap me in the face! Despite all this I am very nervous about my scan later.

How is everyone else feeling? X
