Oooh @fee1234 thanks for the tip - I'm going to try the FB nub group.

Look at how well I'm doing at not finding out! 😂

Good luck for your scan today @Curlywurly3 and everyone else who may be having them!

@Kescilly That's brilliant you've come back low risk - I'm guessing there were no markers at the scan either which is great news. Your odds are over a 99% chance all is perfect - maybe think of it that way, those are brilliant odds 😊

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 29/11/2018 09:29

This is good news @Kescilly hold onto that and keep it close.

Am sitting beside a right smelly so and so on the train this am. The halitosis and farting double. Driving me spare.

Jodidum · 29/11/2018 10:46

Hey all, long time lurker here. Was a surprise, first positive preg result so it's all been feeling a bit surreal. It's been nice to know I've been experiencing the same nausea, tiredness etc as others at the same stage, although not nice for anyone to go through!

So happy to see some nice scan pics appearing although my heart goes out to you that have not got the result they were hoping for (@jacquejacque I wish you all the best xx)

Had my first scan today, had no idea of dates etc so they have dated me 12 weeks on the dot, babe wasn't being too cooperative for the photos. All my work folks know as I work with radiation but now I know dates etc, tonight is the night the parents get told, so nervous!! xx

toasterstrudle · 29/11/2018 11:20

Welcome @Jodidum - congratulations! Great to be past the 12 week mark now, I've got my scan next Thursday and can't wait for it to be done.

I'm feeling a bit down today - lonely and guilty. I've been signed off work for the last two weeks and was hoping to make it back on Monday, but I've been so sick all morning since 4am that there's just no way. I'm a primary teacher so I can't just pop to the loo as and when. I've also been getting diarrhoea at unpredictable times, and when I need to go I need to go! Sorry if tmi! Starting to worry this will look really bad for work prospects too -h

toasterstrudle · 29/11/2018 11:21

Posted too early! Basically just feel like I'm letting all my work down and feel terrible I'm still off, especially when I have periods of time where I feel fine! But it seems to link with activity for me - lying on the sofa I'm generally ok, getting up and about or driving, carrying my son etc sets me off vomiting again. I am so grateful to be pregnant and that baby looks healthy but my god am I fed up of vomiting.

Curlywurly3 · 29/11/2018 11:43

Thanks @madeincornwall 😊

@toasterstudle I know it's hard but try and not feel down about it. I'm sure they must understand, is your attendance usually good? They'll understand you can't be in a classroom if you are being sick. Try and think about the little human you are growing and when you're better you can be the best teacher in the school :) x

fee1234 · 29/11/2018 11:51

@toasterstrudle sorry to hear you are feeling that way. I can relate with the diarrhoea, I call it 'surprise' diarrhoea, when you just go to the toilet thinking it's a pee, then out of nowhere diarrhoea starts. I've definitely been experiencing that 😩 hope you feel a bit better soon x

Reastie · 29/11/2018 11:51

Toaster yes yes yes activity makes mine infinitely worse. There are times when I don’t feel terrible if I’m sitting on the sofa but if I get up and try to do anything it come soon back full force (and of course there are the lovely times when even when I’m doing nothing it’s still dire). It’s unpredictable which is really hard with work. I teach cooking and can’t do my job atm so am also signed off. I hate letting everyone down but I know there’s now any I’d be able to work. Just driving to work would be enough to set me off. It is so lonely and isolating isn’t it. In my head I want to do all sorts of things like I usually would and so miss that I can’t. FWIW they can’t count pg absence towards your absence record so it won’t go against you. I e been signed off atm until Christmas holidays :(

Hello jodidum welcome. What are the chances of not knowing your dates and having a scan dot on 12 weeks?! What perfect timing!

Waiting for mw for booking apt. She’s coming here as I can’t manage to get to the hospital for the long appointment. She’s nearly an hour late and really flagging. Mentally I set up my day to be ok for when she was due with medication/eating etc. I feel close to tears now just wasting all the energy to try to be ok for when she came. I feel so pathetic! Just wish she’d hurry up to get it done and over with.

toasterstrudle · 29/11/2018 12:03

Thanks curly, fee and Reastie! I think I'm just having a bit of a pity party for one today! Oh god Reastie there's no danger I could be teaching cooking either!! Poor you!

Fee that's a hilarious description - I'm using that from now on! So glad I'm not the only one with surprise diarrhoea but hope yours (and mine!) disappears soon!

Also interesting that pregnancy sickness doesn't count against you! I'd heard that but forgot all about it so I'm away for a google. To be fair my boss has been great but just feel a bit useless!

SassehMonsta · 29/11/2018 13:15

So I wasn't going to, but what do you reckon - boy or girl? Find out in Jan!

@SassehMonsta try the Facebook page someone suggested earlier (Strictly nub theory), lots of people posting on there.

I tried with my scan pics however they weren't very good (baby upside down) so they couldn't tell. But maybe worth a try for you?

SassehMonsta · 29/11/2018 13:25

Posted there this morning, had one reply saying they weren't sure. I'll give it a bit longer :)

fee1234 · 29/11/2018 13:40

@SassehMonsta yeah it took a few hours but more people started commenting on mine and now there's loads on it. Every single one says boy. I'm hopeless at telling what they are, let us know what people say!

MadeInCornwallx3 · 29/11/2018 14:30

I've just posted on there too!

Not holding out much hope though as nub techs couldn't see anything 😭

Maybe I'll get my surprise after all!

lstef · 29/11/2018 14:40

@toasterstrudle I feel ya - last night was horrendous nausea wise for me and ended up feeling so fed up and sorry for myself - was starving but couldnt face any food and when I did eat I felt like I would explode after, was shattered but couldn't sleep then DP came to bed and started snoring, grinding his teeth and muttering so I ended up snapping at him and he went to sleep on the sofa (we both disturb each other alternately so he does it a lot). Apologised this morning and have felt better/brighter.

at 11+4 the nausea seems to have changed from just feeling nauseous and little appetite/hunger and having to force food down me, to feeling ravenous within a couple of hours of eating but still have aversion to eating. Plus some added anxiety around food (fear of nausea I expect).

Counting down to scan next Thursday! it really cant come quickly enough. Will be my first one so I'm very nervous and excited!

Reastie I hope midwife turned up and you managed to sit through it!

Hi to everyone else Smile

Holly257 · 29/11/2018 15:18

Lovely seeing all these scans (so sorry to Jacque big hugs) I have my scan on the 10th and I'm having mixed emotions about it (i had a MMC last year so constantly thinking about the worst case) ive got constant sickness throughout the day I was hospitalized with my 2 boys and managed to avoid that so far fingers crossed I look about 18 weeks pregnant rather than 10+6 anyone else showing already? Ive also got a constant headache! Good luck to all those still waiting on scans!!

hexagon01 · 29/11/2018 15:19

My nausea has changed too - I now feel ravenously hungry all morning then overfull and nauseous all afternoon. But if I don’t eat in the morning I feel sick too. It’s very annoying.

Ksjourney · 29/11/2018 15:20

💐🍷 @jacquejacque be nice to yourself x

Napssavelives · 29/11/2018 18:04

Judge me. I’ve eaten a 100g bag on minstrels over the day and my dinner was a huge pizzas ... in kinda thinking because I didn’t eat the crusts The calorie count will be less than said on the box.

mindthechaos · 29/11/2018 18:20

Napssavelives I've had a chocolate orange and a half today if that makes you feel better? My diet isn't normally that bad but between insomnia and anxiety I am comfort eating all the goodies I've put up for Christmas

Reastie · 29/11/2018 18:30

ThNk goodness I’m not the only one eating rubbish! I’m constantly eating. Not all bad stuff but just a huge quantity.

Mw came eventually and am not booked in so feeling relieved but local hospital no longer offer scans which means big hospital ages away for 12 week scan.

Napssavelives · 29/11/2018 18:43

It does @mindthechaos!

mindthechaos · 29/11/2018 18:57

Literally whenever you need to feel better about what you’ve eaten, I’m your girl! I normally eat like a bird, but this pregnancy has turned me into a hoover

Fabuluce · 29/11/2018 19:06

I'm appalled by the volume I'm consuming. I feel I've just got to keep eating 😩

Posted my scan pic to the Facebook group and it's still pending 5hrs later. Ffs!

Fabuluce · 29/11/2018 19:09

Lol and as if by magic my post literally just got approved. X
