@fizzledays - it does doesn't it! I've had blood taken from each arm today too so feeling your pain (a bit) lol x

AliceRR · 29/10/2018 17:44

@Lookingforadvice123 Yes it definitely helps and I know I am an anxious pregnant person!! I worried about everything in first trimester even though I didn’t have real reason to. It’s hard to know what November is enough. Even if I feel movement I’m thinking should I be feeling more often or stronger movements but think you’re right and I need to wait for a pattern to develop. I’m sure midwife will say not to worry! x

fizzledays · 29/10/2018 18:06

Oh @Yakadee bloods as well??? Ouch!! The soreness from it is kicking in now too, but that's definitely the most stinging one I've had for a looooonnnggg time! Wowza! Best I sort this pain threshold thing out...🤦🏻‍♀️

Alicejj8x · 29/10/2018 18:18

@AliceRR
My baby has also been abit quiet today
But I am putting it down to the fact that Monday-Friday I am so so busy at wrk ( I'm a nanny) so pretty much on the go 24/7 they say you rock them to sleep. I felt her a few times today but the likelihood is that she is moving throughout the day but where I'm so busy I don't feel her. Then it comes to the weekend and she's on a constant move and I think I notice it a lot more coz that's when I'm relaxing

I tend to find if I lie down flat on my back she starts to move..

Yakadee · 29/10/2018 18:21

@fizzledays - I actually had that jab 6 weeks ago but certainly remember it. I had the glucose test today x

AliceRR · 29/10/2018 18:25

@Alicejj8x thanks yeah i think you’re right and there have been lots of other times when I haven’t felt her move first thing in the morning. I’m probably worrying too much... hopefully everything is fine!

Alicejj8x · 29/10/2018 18:37

@AliceRR if your worried hun honestly give them a call

Cold drink
Fizzy drink
Lots of singing and talking
Lying on diff sides

That's what google says to try I usually find a fizzy drink really helps.

How many weeks are you again x

Surprisedmom · 29/10/2018 18:42

@Baby160P I totally agree, the objects they pick don’t seem to match the sizes in my head either. Currently my baby is apparently the size of a GiJoe, but I don’t think they’re a foot tall either 🤔

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 29/10/2018 19:14

@AliceRR give them a call. You're clearly worried and you'll feel better knowing everything is fine x

fizzledays · 29/10/2018 19:48

@Yakadee I have that on Thursday I think....eeeeks!

Yakadee · 29/10/2018 20:13

@fizzledays - it actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. The worst bit was not eating but I took my iPad and a film to keep me occupied x

Baby160P · 29/10/2018 20:22

@AliceRR give them a call. I'm currently up a and e as had reduced movements and now the most painful right hand side from 6 ish, they think I possibly have a kidney infection but we will see 🤞🏼😩 I literally had to hobble to the car it hurts so much!!

emalady · 29/10/2018 20:23

@yakadee and @fizzledays I have mine in just over 2 weeks. Glad it's not too bad. Good idea about downloading a movie. I was going to get DH to hang around with me but maybe 2 hours to read and relax might be nice! Depends if I get fainty /nsus I guess.

Yakadee · 29/10/2018 20:33

@emalady - the drink isn't very nice but manageable. I didn't feel unwell at all either. They made a point of saying if I felt sick or off then I needed to let someone know xx

AliceRR · 29/10/2018 20:40

Baby is kicking me like crazy at the moment so I’m taking that as a good sign 😊

Think she’s kicking my bladder though 🤔

AliceRR · 29/10/2018 20:43

@Baby160P hope you and baby are ok!

I felt better with movements later in the morning. Had some movement all day since then, just light movements really, and lots of kicking around in the last 20-30 mins - maybe this is her new pattern 🤔

I do feel slightly sick. Hoping I haven’t got the sickness bug that my new colleague came in to work with today! She’s had it since Wednesday night too so not a 24 hour thing!

Lulabell1 · 29/10/2018 20:47

Am I the only one who feels iv just kind of been left to do my own thing? I had my 12 week scan 20week scan and then I had 1 midwife appointment at 15 weeks and that it iv not seen a doctor/midwife nothing and my next appointment isnt until 28weeks Ino this is baby number to but feeling a bit forgot about!

Yakadee · 29/10/2018 20:51

@Lulabell1 - yes! Apart from my glucose test today I've been exactly the same. 16 week appointment, 20 week scan and then nothing until 28 weeks! Strange isn't it x

Lulabell1 · 29/10/2018 20:57

@yakadee is this your first baby?
I just feel like i had so many more appointments last time it was 5years ago? One of my assistants at work is 19 and she sees her midwife every 4 weeks!! Im not complaining really could do without the constant back forward but just feels very strange. I do think the appointments become more frequent after 30weeks x

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 29/10/2018 20:59

@Lulabell1 I'm in my second and seeing midwife less than before.

She said it's normal after a complication free first pregnancy/birth.

Yakadee · 29/10/2018 21:04

@Lulabell1 - it's my second, defo had more with my first.

@Thesnobbymiddleclassone - my first pregnancy was really good, low risk but birth was definitely not complication free unfortunately. X

AliceRR · 29/10/2018 21:07

I have actually felt a bit left to my own devices and it’s my first pregnancy.

I had my booking in quite late and scan at nearly 14 weeks which meant I went though my first trimester without having spoken to a midwife or anyeone and gp didn’t give any advice. I was anxious and would have appreciated more guidance on foods and other stuff I was worried about.

I can’t rememebrr when my lady appointment was but I have one this week and then presumably it will be a month til I see her again

So I’ve had no real advice on things like movement which I’ve obviously worried about

I remember thinking early on that it was strange

Alicejj8x · 29/10/2018 21:15

@Baby160P I hope your ok xx

Notquiteagandt · 29/10/2018 21:17

@Baby160P I had the exact same when I was in great pain. The midwife said for me the baby was moving just as I was in so much pain I was just feeling that and my brain was distracted so to speak.

Fingers crossed they get you sorted asap and you get reassured about baby Flowers

Kidney infections are nasty at best of times so really feel for you. From memory through having them before antibiotics kick in pretty quickly 🤞

Surprisedmom · 29/10/2018 21:18

I would second @AliceRR that although it’s my first pregnancy I haven’t had much contact with midwifes. I have had two scans and 3 appointments (but only because I moved so did the booking appointment twice). I don’t mind though as I know if i’m worried I could call them, I suppose I see it as a ‘no news is good news’ type situation as they would only want to see me more if they thought anything might be awry.
