darnit, dp has just taken the car away for a week. I WILL find a way to get to Lidl.

@Danielle48 so glad your scan went well! Welcome back, to you and baby. You've reminded me I had a terrible dream last night where it turned out my dad had two secret love-children (called Gull and Dove, haha) - I woke up absolutely fuming.

Wineandchoccy · 07/09/2018 12:35

I needed a size bigger in the jeans just in case anybody is going to Lidl. The tights are great for the winter they are woolly so will be warm.

Wineandchoccy · 07/09/2018 12:36

@ladycarlotta Gull and Dove GrinGrin

VillageFete · 07/09/2018 13:01

Gull and Dove is hilarious Grin

Just had another scan! Baby was incredibly active. It was trying to flip over! Sonographer said heartbeat was strong. She put me a day ahead than my other scans, so she said i’m 10+5.

I know it’s stupidly early, but can you do the nub theory at this point?

@Marmite2018 that's good! How are you getting on?

Nightmanagerfan · 07/09/2018 14:07

Hi All, @villagefete what a lovely pic!

@wineandchoccy good news re: Lidl. My scan isn't til Monday so I don't want to buy stuff really in case it's bad news, but I can't resist a bargain so might pop in on Sat. I guess I could take stuff back if needed. I'm interested in the pillow & case, PJs, vest tops, sports leggings and normal leggings. Are the jeans good quality? Might be worth a pair of those too as they're so cheap.

Thanks all for your support earlier this week when I was ill and feeling really anxious. I am so appreciate of you all.

Still feeling v. sick and dry retching like you @toastfiend DH was bemused this AM to find me in the kitchen simultaneously trying to eat a crumpet and dry retching into the sink.. really can't wait for this stage to be over.

Planning a busy weekend to distract ourselves before the scan on Monday. @badbadbeans I might try a swim inspired by your good reviews. In my head I haven't got past that date so can't even begin to imagine telling people! I'm feeling anxious about telling work, though they probably suspect due to knowing about previous loss and me having random days off lately. I'm working on a big project that ends in Jan, so know I'll be able to see that through, but my work is quite niche and they may struggle to get mat cover, though I guess that's not my problem!

Have a lovely weekend all - hope you all feel better and rest well!

Wineandchoccy · 07/09/2018 14:13

@Nightmanagerfan The jeans feel nice and soft, the bump band is quite generous. Just check the length I measured 2 pairs against each other and the lengths were different on both.

Nightmanagerfan · 07/09/2018 14:19

@wineandchoccy good to know thank you.

Murphyrocks · 07/09/2018 14:26

Lovely scan @Villagefete! I'm afraid nub theory is between 11 and 14 weeks and the later the better within that range, so it's really too early on your scan I think. I can't see any nub. Hopefully soon though!

ladycarlotta · 07/09/2018 14:45

@Villagefete there's some other theory before 11 weeks - to do with what part of the uterus baby's in or something? Sounded pretty arcane. I can't remember the name of it but I think it starts with an R.

I keep trying to apply the nub theory to my own scan. I've no aptitude for it - during the actual scan I thought it was definitely a girl (didn't want to ask the technician in case she thought I was mad), but had a squizz yesterday and decided boy. Either way I'm experiencing FOMO re whichever sex it isn't. Silly.

Murphyrocks · 07/09/2018 15:07

@ladycarlotta I think that's Ramzi theory you're meaning? That's just 6-8 weeks though I think? Something to do with where the placenta is. Not sure there's much to it though, whereas nub theory I think is at least upping your odds a bit!

wordsmithereens · 07/09/2018 15:25

@Wineandchoccy, wish I'd read the thread before popping to Lidl again today! Bought jeans in my usual size, and there was no way of getting into them. Sending DH for an exchange later hopefully.

toastfiend · 07/09/2018 16:00

Much more positive update from me today! Scan went really well! Measuring 14 + 6, which is exactly in accordance with my EDD so baby is growing fine, moving lots and a good heart beat. Placenta is now sitting where it should be and everything else is fine. They basically can't find any reason for the bleed but are taking it seriously. Everyone was lovely, I've been told to go on with life as normal now as no reason to believe there will be any further problems, but any further bleeding, even a small amount, and I am to call them straight away. I cried I was so relieved!

So I'm a much happier bunny today and am going to go to Lidl later in the hope of getting some jeans that don't feel like they're cutting me in half!

Sorry to hear you're also still feeling sick @Nightmanagerfan, although am taking comfort that I'm not the only one! I feel a lot better when I've eaten but yes, you do get some funny looks when you're retching and also trying to force down a meal! I'm hoping it'll go soon. I felt very sick in the first trimester but had thought I'd gotten off relatively lightly sickness wise so this feels very unfair!

wordsmithereens · 07/09/2018 16:23

That is fantastic news @toastfiend, so pleased for you!

Murphyrocks · 07/09/2018 16:33

Excellent news @toastfiend, so happy for you after your awful ordeal.

puravida31 · 07/09/2018 17:04

@toastfiend what wonderful news! I’m so so pleased for you!

Congratulations to all the scans today, lots of photogenic March babies!

Re my chicken pox scare of yesterday, I had a chat with the midwife this morning (first win was them answering the phone!) They think it will probably be ok but are re testing my bloods to check if I have immunity to chicken pox. They should have the results back Monday 🀞🏻

Nightmanagerfan · 07/09/2018 17:05

@toastfiend most excellent news!! Hope you can enjoy the pregnancy a bit more - it must be a huge relief to know everything is looking ok.

melissa112 · 07/09/2018 17:14

@toastfiend that's great news! So relieved that everything is ok after what you've been through.

Lovely to see all the wonderful scan pics and so pleased that all has gone well.

I'm planning on heading down to Lidl tomorrow too now, definitely will buy the jeans in a bigger size, thanks for the heads up!

We had our scan today. Baby measuring at 13+1 so EDD changed from 17/03 to 14/03. Baby had it's back to us at first and managed to get a good look at it's spine, after lots of wiggling it turned to face us, then finally settled on it's back so we did manage a pic but not sure it's very clear! Little monkey was using me as a trampoline to bounce off Grin already looks so much more baby like that the pic I had last Thursday!

Does anyone see a nub on there? I Can't see it's legs on the pic so not sure a nub would be visible anyway?

VillageFete · 07/09/2018 17:27

So pleased for you @toastfiend What a relief!

I feel really sick today, and I did yesterday. I stupidly thought the worst was over! But it’s crept back up on me at 10+5 I will have to have a big mac and see if that helps me to feel better Blush

melissa112 · 07/09/2018 17:31

@VillageFete I'm sorry to hear the nausea is back. Mine eased off after 10 weeks but is still kind of there in the background every day.

I did laugh at your post(not the feeling sick bit) but the Big Mac because that's exactly what I'm doing now but with a KFC Grin

VillageFete · 07/09/2018 17:39

@melissa112 That’s a gorgeous, clear scan! I am so crap with nubs, so no idea. Are you finding out the sex? Oh, enjoy your KFC!

HidCat · 07/09/2018 17:58

@Danielle48 welcome back! So glad it was good news for you.

@VillageFete glad all is looking good - too early for nub still though.

@toastfiend great news, so pleased all is well.

@melissa112 lovely scan pic for you too - I can't see a nub either In afraid.

Had a manic day yesterday but now chilling before we start getting ready to go away on Monday. Also have a wedding reception tomorrow night so going to be a good week!

melissa112 · 07/09/2018 17:59

@VillageFete we have had the NIPT so will be finding out the sex when we get the results. I'm rubbish at the nub thing too! Hope the Big Mac goes down well!

Murphyrocks · 07/09/2018 18:49

Lovely scan pic @melissa112, congrats! I see something on it that could be a nub, in which case I'd say it looks girly, but neither am I convinced it's a nub nor am I sure it's a female one if it is! I'm no expert. But that's my best guess anyway for what it's worth! It seems a little blurry to try and glean anything from the skull theory either unfortunately.

Sictransitgloria · 07/09/2018 18:54

I’m so jel you can eat a big mac. I dream of burgers (and try not to retch). Currently tolerating supernoodles as dinner each evening. Mixing it up with chicken and bbq πŸ˜‚ hope this bloody nausea ends soon. I’m 11+2 and feeling worse and worse!
